Marley Photography is based out of Charleston, SC. Rhett Marley studied to become a professional photographer, and Alicyne, his wife, is his assistant. Together they have photographed over 400 weddings across the east coast. They are currently booking for all of 2023 and 2024. Rhett is an easygoing photographer who desires to capture photos that look natural, relaxed, and breathtaking.

Awarded Best of Zola
Marley Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for both our engagement session and wedding day. From our very first conversation through the final delivery, Rhett was friendly, transparent, and incredibly responsive to all of our questions. The quality of his work is bright, creative, and colorful, and he was always open-minded and enthusiastic about our more spontaneous ideas (including taking him around downtown Charleston on a golf cart in the cold!). On our wedding day, Rhett made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, and he was able to pivot effortlessly when moments unfolded unexpectedly. We had all been admiring a patch of beautiful flowers, and he quickly captured a truly special moment there. We would highly recommend Marley Photography to any couple looking for a talented, personable photographer who will go above and beyond to help bring their wedding vision to life.

We're so happy with how our wedding pictures turned out! Sydney and her second shooter captured so many beautiful moments, and we've had so much fun looking through them and sharing them with our family. She was very communicative throughout the whole process - from booking to the engagement shoot to the wedding day itself. She made sure to get every picture that we requested and in the style that we communicated. Can't recommend her enough!!!

Who will capture your wedding? Your special moments should be candid and timeless. With over 100 weddings captured, we are sure to make your wedding a big hit. Capturing candid moments and raw emotions is something we specialize in. Our business began in the planning arena in 2008. In 2015 we grew into the photography space. In regards to planning, we have done all sizes of events from meet and greets to weddings. After perfecting photography we learned how to capture special moments on film in 2017. We have planned, photographed, and filmed hundreds of events and offer all three services.

Awarded Best of Zola
Alissa with Sweet Bliss Media was very personable and easy to connect with. On my wedding day, she made me feel like it was her life's mission to make me feel and look beautiful in my photographs. Amidst all the craziness of your wedding day, it felt nice to have someone by your side to bring out the beauty. Who is not just there as a photographer for hire, but a forever friend capturing the special moments. Alissa also did things that she was not asked or contracted to, but just out of the kindness of her heart. She brought me bottled water to ensure that I stayed hydrated and even stayed later than we had originally laid out in the contract to make sure that my send-off was captured! She is a sweetheart and even though the photography was the biggest bill of the wedding budget, it was worth every penny, even my husband agrees. The finished product is absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to use her again for our family photos!! We highly recommend Alissa to all brides looking for a wedding photographer.

We have a full time team that has covered weddings for 18 years with a unique style. We love sunset and a moody sky! Our edits are very close to true to color with just a bit of drama and spice! We are an easy-going team that can roll with the punches when necessary while also making decisive decisions throughout the day. We offer multiple levels of service for photography and even offer videography as well.

I literally just finished texting Krista that she is the absolute best human ever after looking at my wedding album for the first time. The teasers were incredible, but after looking through the entire gallery, I am ABSOLUTELY FLOORED with the photos. My husband and I eloped in Charleston from Maryland and I contacted easily 15 photographers. Several of them were at least twice the price and their quality paled in comparison to Krista and her all star team. After having our initial phone call, I knew I had to have Krista be a part of our wedding. We chatted for an hour and I felt like we were friends from another life and it turned out we had very similar lives and just completely hit it off. She is tell it like it is, but insanely professional at the same time which is VERY hard to pull off. She is a ray of sunshine, genuinely adores what she does and gives all of herself to make sure she delivers and she CRUSHES it. Stephanie was absolutely amazing too and Krista's husband and his partner created the most magnificent wedding video for us. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE THE EASIEST DECISION OF YOUR ENTIRE WEDDING PLANNING BY BOOKING KRISTA AND HER TEAM!! you will be the happiest ever!!!!

Bringer of Light Photography

5.0

  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

My name is Luca, and I’m the artist behind Bringer of Light Photography. A solo-run, heart-driven, editorial-meets-documentary brand for the tender-hearted & brave. My work is built on the idea that photographs are not just decorations, but inheritances. I’ll meet you where you are. awkward, giddy, tearful, reverent, undone - and we’ll co-create something beautiful. This is not a factory. It’s me, showing up with my whole heart to create something that feels true to you. If you want your story told with integrity, emotion, and reverence, you're in the right place. I'm so excited to meet you.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hiring Luca as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made during the entire planning process. From our very first conversation, I knew we were in the presence of someone not just with technical skill, but with a heart for people, and an artist’s eye for light and emotion. Luca somehow managed to be everywhere at once, catching every moment we didn’t even realize was happening. Her ability to capture the feeling of the day, not just the events, still blows my mind. Our sneak peeks came within 24 hours and made me cry happy tears all over again. The full gallery? I can’t even explain. We didn’t just receive photos. We received a gift that I’ll be showing my grandchildren one day, saying, “This was the day I married your grandpa.” Luca, thank you for treating our day like it mattered to you, too. For anyone even thinking about booking her: do it before someone else gets your date. Seriously.

Ben and Erin are in a league of their own. My husband and I hired them to photograph our wedding in New York, and it was a decision that literally changed our lives. We had not met them before our wedding, but from the moment they showed up they were ready to become a part of our family. Since our wedding, they have become the "official photographers" of our family and have photographed weddings and events for siblings, cousins, friends, etc. The photos from our wedding far exceeded what we could have ever expected! In addition to being amazing photographers, they took a genuine interest in who we are and were able to get photos unlike anything we had ever seen before. They work SO hard to capture every single moment, and you'll find them under chairs, tables and in unimaginable places to get the kinds of shots they're known for. On our wedding day, we planned a 3 hour break for portraits. Ben and Erin ran around with us to capture portraits in front of our favorite backdrops. They were ready to do *anything* to get us the photos we envisioned. Erin even gave me her jacket to protect my dress at one point in our portrait adventures. With their photos, they managed to make us see a place we had lived in for 10 years differently than we had ever seen it before. I can still stare at our photos for hours and remember exactly how we felt. They captured every single thing that happened, and in a way that our own eyes can't see. When it was time to create our album, they put incredible amounts of thought and care into making it perfect. They're willing to suggest ideas, and happy to work with yours. They showed us samples of albums and spent hours talking with us about what they thought would be best for us and our photos. The end result is an amazing wedding album that does justice to their photos. One of the things that I appreciate the most about Ben and Erin is how they truly get to know each and every one of their couples. If you ever ask them about a specific wedding or photo, they can tell you everything about the couple, wedding, family members, friends, etc. as though they've been a part of each family. When you look at the types of photos that they're able to capture, you realize that much of it is because people feel comfortable opening up to them and their cameras. They have a rare gift for photography and relationships. If you can find a date that Ben and Erin are free for your wedding, take it! Hiring them was the single best wedding planning decision we made. We can't wait for more family weddings to have an excuse to get in front of their cameras!

Priscilla Thomas Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

Icelandic-born but raised stateside in New Mexico and South Carolina – thanks to the United States Air Force. My love of storytelling began as a child when I asked for a typewriter for Christmas. Friends and I composed neighborhood newsletters featuring imaginary residents along our street in Alamogordo, NM. After moving to Charleston, I was a yearbook and school newspaper staff member. Words transitioned to visual storytelling soon after I graduated from the College of Charleston. After freelancing for a couple of years, I studied at Ohio University. Focusing on visual communication, I concentrated on photojournalism and multimedia.

Priscilla and Davis were the best to work with. As a pretty laid back bride with very little of my own input other than wanting beautiful pictures and memories, Priscilla captured EXACTLY what I asked for and more! She is amazing to work with and I highly recommend her! We love our photos

Madison Krupp Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

I’m Madison, but you can call me Maddy. You should know right off the bat, I’m not your typical wedding photographer. As a journalist, I was trained to see the story in everything. Now, as a photographer, I use storytelling to connect with people. And the stories I want to tell are adventurous, unbiased, natural, emotive love stories. So let’s skip the small talk. I want to hear about your biggest life hurdles, your aspirations, your journey, and the things that ignite your soul. Let’s skip the pomp and circumstance, too. If your dream is to marry your partner on a mountaintop, I’ll grab my hiking boots.

Oh my goodness... Madison Krupp is an absolute gem. She has the kindest heart, and makes you feel completely at ease! Having her take our wedding photos felt so easy and natural - she has such a calming way about her that almost makes you forget photos are even being taken! My husband and I had so much fun spending time posing, laughing, and really taking in those special moments together. I absolutely adore our wedding photos, and will treasure them forever. We couldn't of asked for a better person to photograph our day - she captured every moment so perfectly. In a professional setting, she is wonderful to work with as well. I work at a wedding venue and absolutely love when Maddy and I get the opportunity to work alongside each other at weddings + events. She is professional, warm, and cares deeply for her clients and her work. Thank you for all you do, MK!

Taylor Rae Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,800
  • Serves Wadmalaw Island, SC

It brings me so much joy to photograph two people in love. That’s why I adore working with couples who know that their marriage is about SO MUCH MORE than just their wedding day. It’s all the days that follow. It’s choosing your spouse each and every day. Your wedding day will be perfect, not because everything went according to plan, but because you said YES to the love of your life. And I see it as a huge honor when a couple chooses me to document such an important day in their lives! When past brides describe my style, they say words like, “joyful,” “romantic,” “warm,” “bright,” and “photos that actually look like me!”

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further! Taylor is your woman! My husband is not a huge fan of having his photo taken, so my main concern was finding someone that would make him feel comfortable. Little did I know how much Taylor would calm my nerves on our wedding day. She is such a light, but fun presence and I think that is reflected in how natural our photos felt. They truly reflect us, our love and the feeling of our big day. The only trouble you'll have is figuring out which of the hundreds of amazing photos you want to print. Seriously, is there a limit to how many wedding photos you should display in your home? She is the best!

I’ve had photo shoots before but, Caitlyn made it comfortable, fun, and easy whereas other photo shoots were more uptight and quick. We got to be in the moment and really soak up everything. On top of that they were very adorable and always so easy to work with and understanding. I could honestly keep going on and on about how wonderful they are personality wise and work wise. My husband and I were beyond impressed with our entire experience with Debra Aslanidis Photography. From start to finish Debra made my experience as a bride so smooth and stress-free. Wedding planning can be a stressful process, but Debra provided excellent communication about what to expect leading up to the wedding and the day of, so we felt very at ease the entire time. When I ran into an unrelated issue (a problem with another vendor), Debra reached out and sent me recommendations and offered support while I dealt with the situation. It was unbelievably kind and not at all expected, but it really made me feel cared for and I appreciated Debra going above and beyond for me! On the day of our wedding, Debra and her partner Jeremy were absolutely phenomenal. For one, they worked so perfectly together. We had guests complimenting how well they worked and coordinated together! I seriously can’t thank them enough for not only being amazing photographers, but also helping with other tasks that they voluntarily did. I seriously felt like they assumed the role of our wedding coordinators at times, since we didn’t have one, by providing suggestions and opinions since they’re the experienced ones when it comes to weddings! I couldn’t be more thankful for their confidence and comfortability in doing so! Finally, I am seriously blown away by the fact that we got our photos about a month after our wedding day! Debra has worked weddings, engagement shoots, and other photoshoots every single weekend and has a family, yet still managed to bust her butt to finish our photos, and it was the best surprise to get our photos back right before celebrating one month of marriage. I am so in love with our photos and have looked at them every single day, multiple times a day, since getting them back. Photos are the one thing you keep from your wedding day (besides your memories!), and I am absolutely in love with the final photos! The editing is beautiful, and I’m so happy we prioritized finding a photographer who emphasizes the behind-the-scenes and candid moments. I love that our pictures are 100% in the moment and capture the real, raw emotions of everyone! There were several detailed shots of our venue and decor and I love those just as much as I love the ones of me, my husband, our families, and our friends! They’re all so stunning!! Our photos made me laugh, cry, audibly say “awww,” and smile the biggest, cheesy grin. I absolutely believe your photographer is one of the most important vendors you choose for your wedding day, and I would 1000% recommend Debra Aslanidis Photography to everyone I know!!

It's hard to describe in words what it means to have your perfect wedding day captured forever. The amount of passion and enthusiasm that Jennifer and her team brought to our wedding was unmatched! We are so happy we chose Stewart and Barnes! Also full disclosure their work does take around 1.5 months to get back but it is totally and completely worth it. Trust their process and BE PATIENT, they will not disappoint! Love you Jennifer!

HI, I'm Alli! I am a destination wedding & portrait photographer traveling around the United States since 2016! As your wedding photographer my goal is to capture the memories you're in the moment experiencing so you can be taken right back to the day no mater how much time has passed. Wedding photography is so much more than pretty pictures. These are heirlooms that you will pass down to those who love you, so let's give them honest real images about a love worth remembering JUST AS IT IS!

I can't say enough good things about them! From the moment we started, they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. They really took the time to understand the vibe I was going for for my wedding and captured everything so perfectly. The photos turned out even better than I could’ve imagined—such genuine, beautiful moments I’ll have to cherish forever. It felt less like a photoshoot and more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to have an amazing eye for photography. Highly highly recommend!
