For over 15 years, Ryan Smith Photography has been a local wedding photographer based out of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Clear, modern, and eye-catching compositions characterize Ryan’s work. He uses contemporary and photojournalistic techniques to document some of his clients’ most precious moments. Ryan Smith Photography is committed to exceeding each couple’s expectations while providing them with a balanced body of work that showcases their special day.
With many years in business and photographing hundreds of weddings, I have the experience to handle any situation on your wedding day. I take clear, crisp, and colorful images captured with the best lenses and an expert understanding of lighting and off-camera flash. I use multiple high-end Nikon cameras and exclusively prime lenses. The more stylized and processed a picture is, the more likely it will look dated in a few years. My natural, well-lit images with beautiful out-of-focus backgrounds will always be in style.

Amazing Experience!
Ryan was incredible to work with for our wedding! We live out of state, so clear communication and a willingness to figure things out “on the fly” the day of was important, and Ryan and his wife more than answered the call. His knowledge of the venue (when/where to pull us for photos during the evening, how the sun would look on the beach at a certain time, etc) was unmatched. His energy was great, he worked exceptionally well with our videographer and portrait artist, and his turnaround time for the final photos was quick. We loved that he used different lenses to achieve the look we wanted in our photos. I couldn’t recommend him more!

Absolutely cannot recommend Ryan Smith Photography enough! Ryan was beyond amazing throughout our entire wedding experience. Our wedding day in early October was rained out due to a nor’easter, and Ryan immediately insisted we schedule another day to get the outdoor photos we had dreamed of. This was such a welcomed surprise—it made our wedding memories stretch out even longer and gave me a wonderful reason to wear my dress again! On the day of our retakes, it rained again, but Ryan was so calm and patient. He waited it out with us, and thanks to his flexibility, we were able to get the photos we wanted without having to redo my hair and makeup. Ryan’s dedication, professionalism, and kindness truly set him apart. He went above and beyond to make sure we had beautiful memories to cherish forever. We are still eagerly awaiting our full gallery, but Ryan already sent us sneak peek photos immediately after meeting up with him yesterday evening, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us even more excited to see the rest. If you’re looking for a photographer who will go the extra mile for you, Ryan is your guy. He is simply amazing!
