Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can. Woman/LGBTQIA+ Owned

Having Mary as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our first phone call to engagement photos to the day of she was so helpful, warm, and organized; she made getting the photos we wanted and being where we needed to be at the right time feel so easy and fun. My clients describe me as caring, passionate about my work, and trustworthy. I am honored to feel like an extended member of the family when I'm photographing weddings! When I’m not working with amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

Awarded Best of Zola
We love Debbie! Debbie has been such a pleasure to work with through our wedding process. Since our first meeting with her, Debbie made us feel super comfortable and at home, feeling more like a family friend more than just our photographer. She has a great knack for getting the best shots and captures authentic feeling in her photos. She was so good at helping us relax in our photos (which was great for me as a notorious camera-shy guy). Debbie will be our first call for any professional photography in the future and we 110% recommend her!

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

I can not articulate how happy I am to have found Jess to capture our wedding. She was extremely professional throughout the process and yet somehow now I feel like we are best friends?! She made the planning process seamless and we were happy to have gotten to know her during our engagement shoot. Then at the wedding - she was ON! She kept our families in line AND ON TIME, which is not a small task. She even helped coordinate a surprise with my husband that left me speechless! Our wedding was all about the details and she absolutely captured that. AND THE PHOTOS! Aside from being a wonderful person to spend the day with, Jess is a true artist! The photos are absolutely gorgeous, and my husband and I feel SO LUCKY that we get to cherish them forever.

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
From our very first email exchange to the moment we received our photos, every step of working with Rich was an incredible experience. He always responded quickly, answered every question with patience, and offered thoughtful suggestions I hadn’t even considered. His preparation before the wedding gave us confidence that everything would run smoothly, and it truly did. Richard was exceptionally professional, respectful, kind, and understanding. On our wedding day, he brought a sense of calm amid the chaos. He blended seamlessly into the flow of events—always present when needed, but never intrusive—and coordinated effortlessly with our families, bridal party, and other vendors. He was also incredibly organized with the shots we needed, keeping us on track without ever making us feel rushed. Richard delivered our full gallery exactly one month after our wedding and just before Thanksgiving so we could share the photos with our families over the holiday. It meant so much to us and we were thrilled to receive our pictures so quickly. Looking through the gallery felt like reliving the entire day, moment by moment. He captured the vibe and essence of our wedding perfectly. I especially appreciated his ideas and direction, and his artistic eye genuinely blew us away. He noticed angles, lighting, and emotional moments, capturing everything from the big highlights to the smallest in-between moments. The pictures he took of us, our families, and our venue were stunning—so much so that multiple friends texted us saying the photos looked like they belonged in Vogue. That is entirely to Richard’s credit. Choosing Richard as our wedding photographer was, without question, one of the best decisions I made in the entire wedding process. I am endlessly grateful to have these photos to cherish forever. Choose Rich as your wedding photographer - you will not regret it!!!!

We are so happy with how all our photos turned out with Matthew! He was great from the beginning, having a call to better understand his style and how the day would go even before booking. Prior to the event he had a detailed questionnaire to complete to make sure all the photos we wanted were accounted for. Matthew was familiar with our venue and even went ahead of time to figure out the best spots to take photos. The day of was great as well! He gave great instruction and was very organized so we never had to worry about getting any photos. To top it all off the photos are amazing!! We were beyond impressed with the initial teasers and when we saw the whole album, it really is a work of art! We couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. Highly recommend!!

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!

Wedding planning can be stressful, but spending time with Julia means putting all those stresses behind and falling in love with your partner again. She manages to get the most intimate shots while making sure we’re completely comfortable and happy. We thought a good while over who we were going to pick for our photographer and with unbelievable luck we chose the best photographer in the Hudson Valley. Completely outstanding, 10/10, we will be hiring her for all life events. From our first conversation with her, prior to the engagement shoot and prior to real wedding planning, it was clear that she was the right choice as she made us feel secure and made it clear that she had a vision that aligned with ours. Julia made our wedding dream come true and immortalized in her photos, there is absolutely no one we would recommend over her. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not hiring her for your wedding.

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. I aim to create authentic and emotive images for my clients and edit true to color so the work will be timeless. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. I donate $100 from every wedding day package to a non profit organization (either the ACLU, End the Backlog or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation) because I believe paying it forward in honor of love is an excellent first step into marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah is firstly a gifted artist and photographer. As you can see she understands space and color in a way that my wife and I clearly do not but more importantly she understands what makes a moment feel special. We asked Sarah to deliver a documentary style wedding experience and she did not fail. When my wife and I chose Sarah, she immediately got to work helping us to plan our wedding day in a way that you might not necessarily expect from a wedding photographer. Sarah was so personal and friendly on the day of our wedding, it felt more like we had a friend taking our pictures as a favor. However, the finished products speak for themselves: our friends and family celebrating, iconic moments of the day, and our love clearly shown throughout. Sarah delivered organization, artistry, and value in a comprehensive package that can’t be beat.

I told her from the get go that my fiancé (now husband!) and I never take good photos, but she assured me that our photos would look natural and not overly posed, which is what we wanted. Caitlinn responded promptly to every email and worked with us to create an efficient timeline for our very large family and bridal party. We had four small children in our bridal party and Caitlinn handled them like an expert and got some amazing shots of all of them! She is incredibly organized and best of all, we received a “sneak preview” of our photo gallery one or two days after the wedding, and the entire photo gallery within a week of the wedding! And the pictures, OMG are they beautiful. The hardest part is choosing which photos to put in our album - they are all that good! (But we get to keep the full digital photo gallery which is being displayed on a digital frame). I particularly appreciated how “unobtrusive” her style is - especially during the very emotional moments like our first look - we didn’t “feel” like we were being photographed so we were able to enjoy the moment and act naturally. She captured all of the big moments and the small details too and her artistic eye created beautiful shots of everything from getting ready all the way to the cake cutting and everything in between. Caitlinn is also an incredibly lovely person - her energy carries through in everything she does, and we felt so comfortable from her right from the get go. Truly I can’t say enough about this wonderful photographer and person - she created beautiful memories for us that we will cherish forever.

Two Upper West Siders. Twenty blocks apart. How had we not crossed paths before? Or did we? Well, after finally matching on Hinge we made that happen and the rest is history! We have combined families and now as a family of 7 (three dogs, two cats) we have become an unstoppable force. We both share the same passion for photography, capturing the beauty all around us and making magic happen. Our dog Lucy, embodies love, kindness and poise. We couldn’t imagine naming our business after anyone but her. That’s how Love, Lucy Photography came to be.

Love, Lucy Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication before, during, and after the wedding was very good, making the entire process painless. Raquel and Bethany, the photographers, took amazing photos throughout the day, capturing all the special moments with a creative and fun flair. They did an incredible job with the pictures, which were ready for us just two weeks after our wedding day. We could not be happier with the quality of their work and the value they provided for our special day. Highly recommend Love, Lucy Photography!

I'm Carroll, a photographer for those who love to live a happy, fun life! I'm married to the most amazing man and together we hike, travel, eat a lot of Chinese food, and watch WAY too many Friends reruns (which explains my crazy love for coffee). I'm also a fur-mom to the two most adorable (and spoiled) little fur-babies, Levi and Chloe. The more you get to know me, you’ll realize how much I love the simple moments of life and to make the most of it all!

Carroll is absolutely amazing, THE BEST!! From start to finish, Carroll was very upbeat, friendly, respectful, and professional. Carroll was so fun to work with, we loved all the photos she took during our engagement session and our wedding. Everyone has said how great our photos came out! We highly recommend Carroll and look forward to working with her in the future!

Having Tara by my side on my wedding as an absolute dream. Our wedding would not have gone as smooth if I didn't have Tara with me to remind me what we had coming up next. Having done an amazing job with our engagement photos, we knew our wedding photos would come out just as great. She did a great job leading us to picturesque places at our venue and guiding us through what poses would look perfect. She captured every emotion we had that day and I'm so happy to have all these moments taken by her.

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.
