Emma Cleary Photo and Video

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emma and her team are FANTASTIC! My photographer was one of the first vendors I booked for my wedding and upon our first meeting I knew they were the perfect fit. I went with Massimo as the lead photographer who also did our engagement shoot. It was so nice to meet with him and see his work before the wedding. Leading up to the big day they would check in to make sure all details were finalized. My wedding was very unique in that I had an Indian wedding and traditional wedding all in one day with multiple outfit changes. We had a lot to cover and Emma's team was more than up for the challenge. We had 2 photographers including Massimo and a videographer. They were extremely organized and creative to capture shots I would have never thought of on my own. When the previews came in I was in shock of how beautiful they were and now that I have all of the photos and videos I get to relive the day all over again with friends and family. I could not recommend Emma and her team enough for weddings and other big life moments!

Justin McCallum Photography

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,200

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing Justin as the photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! He took time to really get to know us so that we were as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. When unexpected things happened on the day of, they didn’t bat an eye and made sure we still got all of the shots we wanted. Justin is so thorough, kind, affirming, and fun, and the pictures turned out amazingly. 1000/10 would hire again 3.

Millie is clear with her communication and made sure to make the most of our time together. With this being our first couple photoshoot, it was especially comforting to have her by our side to make us feel at ease and guide us through each pose. Her experience and talent truly shined through as she shared our photos. Millie's ability to set the stage up for natural moments allowed us to have a beautiful and genuine memory to look back on.

RIVELLE MEDIA

5.0

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Rivelle Media is a photography and videography company based in New York. Every couple, with their distinctive love story, transforms into a canvas where we paint with the play of light and shadow. It extends beyond the grandeur of photographing pivotal moments like vows, rings, and the first dance; it encompasses the art of capturing nuanced glances, shared laughter, and the silent connection that elevates an ordinary day into an extraordinary celebration of love. Published in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were pretty nervous about finding the right photographers because we’re both camera-shy, but Rivelle Media completely blew us away. Anna and her team made the whole experience feel so natural - like we weren’t even being photographed most of the time. They joked with us, gave gentle direction when needed, and somehow caught every little moment that made our wedding feel so ‘us.’ Leading up to the day, they were also super helpful. Anna sent us this guide that was packed with tips and ideas we hadn’t even thought about, and she always made time to answer our questions. It felt like they really cared about making everything perfect for us. Now that we have the photos, we can’t stop looking at them!!

Bryan Sargent Photography

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

Bryan Sargent is an award-winning wedding and engagement photographer from New York City. To Bryan, nothing compares to the privilege and fun of capturing the cherished memories of a couple on their wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
If we could give Bryan a 100 stars, we would. We reached out to Bryan prior to even getting engaged because of his work and we were sure we wanted him to shoot our engagement photos and our wedding. He was incredibly communicative, very easy to reach during the year and a half we worked with him, and truly the friendliest guy and made us feel so comfortable. On our wedding day, we had no worries about if and how every moment would be captured, and when we got our photos back I was floored. Everything from our portraits to our dance floor was absolutely perfect. Something that made us drawn to Bryan's work in the first place is a talent for capturing connection and life in his photos, and looking through our photos it's like being transported right back to the moment. His talent for seeing moments worth capturing is unmatched. We simply cannot sing his praises loud enough.

hey you! thanks for dropping by. my name is shelby, and i am a queer artist and manhattan based photographer who specializes in weddings + equine portraiture. my priority as a photographer is developing a personal relationship with each and every one of my clients (two or four legged). your special moments are their most pure when you are comfortable and ready to just have fun, and i am here to create that joyful space.

Awarded Best of Zola
I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Shelby. To put into perspective how much I absolutely love her work, we not only hired her for our city hall wedding, but also hired her and her partner Jordan (videographer) for our big wedding. They also just photographed my cousin Kate’s wedding this past weekend. Kate met Shelby and Jordan at my big wedding, and absolutely fell in love with not only their work, but them as people. My partner and I aren’t good at taking photos. We are very awkward, and feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. But Shelby made it SO EASY and SO FUN for us. Not only were our photos beyond our expectations, the video Jordan created for us was absolutely out of this world. They are such incredible human beings, and both so talented. I plan to use Shelby and Jordan for every event in the future.

Emilee E. Photography

Hey there! My name is Emilee, and I am a Minnesota-native living in NYC! I've been photographing people and events for the past 15 years. I shoot families, couples, individuals, and pets, but my passion lies in wedding photography. I love capturing the whirlwind of a couples' big day, and seeing the love that is shared between them and all their wedding guests. It's magical and wonderful every. single. time. My current active markets are Minnesota and New York, but I'm available to travel anywhere in the US and the world for additional fees!

Awarded Best of Zola
What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days. We had coffee, talked about our vision and our biggest priorities. She immediately felt like a friend, and knew she was firmly on our team. If you're looking for a photographer to capture not only beautiful photos of yourself, but more importantly, the feeling in every room, Emilee is the photographer for you. We recommend wholeheartedly, and can't wait for another occasion to work with her. Sincerely, Mara James

ALL THE FEELS ~

4.8

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,700

IN AN OCEAN OF PEOPLE, I'M EXCITED YOU FOUND ME! I'm Mucci, a romantic storyteller who has been using photography, video and motion graphic to communicate, with over 17 years of experience. That's over half of my life! I am inspired by genuine connections, fresh air, a car ride, vulnerability, sunlight and foggy days, backyard gatherings, misty rain, singing out loud, windblown hair, visual poetry, and so much more.

I hired Mucci for my NYC civil wedding day. My husband and I were having a larger wedding abroad, but still wanted to capture the special moments of the day we were legally married. From the start Mucci was extremely responsive to my inquiry. She was easy to plan with and helped give guidance and suggestions to the photography spots I had in mind. The day of the session (3 hours) she was so fun and easy to collaborate with. She gave a lot of helpful direction from the start to make us comfortable and pretty quickly it all felt natural. The photography didn't end up feeling like a chore/posed/forced. It was like having a fun day around the neighborhood with Mucci there to capture it. When I had ideas she was also very open to them and would adjust as needed. Mucci was also flexible with her timing, as we came up to the end of our planned time she graciously caught a cab with us towards her home/near where our dinner was and took some extra snaps in a final location. Very generous of her. Receiving the portfolio was a dream. I favorited over 200 photos. I couldn't believe how stunning and dynamic they all were. My husband and I looked like models. It was a dream experience with the best outcome. I would highly, highly recommend Mucci for her quality of work and how lovely she is to work with.

Hi, I'm Celeste, I'm from a small town in Spain. Now leaving in NY. I have spent the last seven years getting to know new humans and documenting their stories and connections. How they got into that point of their life, and what makes them light up. I feel it is quite a responsibility and a significant honor to be able to create this legacy for them.

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are looking for an incredibly talented, professional, warm and creative wedding photographer then look no further. My husband and I feel so, so lucky to have worked with Celeste for our February 2022 wedding! We initially hired Celeste for our Brooklyn wedding planned for June 2020. After multiple postponements and major changes to our original plans, we settled on a February 2022 wedding in Marietta, GA. Celeste was an absolute gem through all of these changes, always super accommodating and understanding. Celeste is incredibly talented and shot absolutely gorgeous moments we are so lucky that she captured! She really goes out of her way to ensure a flawless experience. For instance, the day before our wedding, she scoped out the location for our "first look" and organized a shot list of different locations around the square that would make phenomenal backdrops. And they truly were- are now some of our favorite shots! Celeste is so friendly, warm, and just lovely to work with from start to finish. My sister also hired her for her engagement photos and had an equally superb experience! I look forward to working with Celeste again. Thank you for helping us preserve our wedding day memories so beautifully, Celeste!!

I love the vintage-inspired look of the photos and video. She communicated when she said she would and I always received a quick response to any questions or messages I had. On the wedding day, I couldn’t imagine anyone who would make it as special as Mae did. She was more than a photographer- she helped me put on myself shoes, hyped up all the little details I stressed months over, and was just such a joy. I cannot recommend Mae enough. I loved all the photos and the video made me cry. Mae is the type of person you want to be friends with after everything is done. Trust me, book Mae!!

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

She captured us in our true moments, not staged, and the photos turned out beyond amazing. So beautiful, natural, and full of life. Loved the Polaroid and film shots too. She was so kind and genuine, and having her there made me feel calm, happy, and truly cared for. So lucky she was our photographer.

I photograph weddings for couples who want something emotionally real and visually distinct — not overly polished. I am more likely to accept bookings with sooner dates - I cannot book further than 1 year out.

I wish I could leave more stars! We had a vision of taking fun photos in the bar we met for our engagement and Bri brought that vision to the next level! She’s an artist and a professional, who really listens and takes care in every shot. She not only made sure we were happy with the experience but she let us in the process to make sure we would capture what we wanted. I’m an extremely camera shy bride but you would never know from looking at the end result. Bri made me feel so confident and comfortable. I forgot about the camera pressure or how my body might look because I trusted her and the process, and i’m so happy I did. Even the playlist she had set the right vibe and we could really relax to get photos that feel like us!

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Let me just say, we are SO happy we found Dasha to document our NYC marriage ceremony. We were nervous about finding the right person to be there during such an intimate moment and to trust to deliver quality photos. The moment we found her, all of our worries washed away. Dasha was SO professional, knew exactly what to do and made us feel at ease. She went above and beyond to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted and was so patient. She knows of ALL the best places to get amazing photos. She's an expert. Her work is beautiful - do NOT sleep on the opportunity to work with her! Katie even traveled all the way from Georgia to Vermont to join us, which we really appreciated. We are thrilled with how the photos came out. Katie has a unique style that we adored from the start. We aren't people who really love having our pictures taken and Katie was understanding of that, while also making sure we got what we wanted (even though we might not have understood that ourselves.) Hi, I'm Eugene, a professional photographer from Europe. I've been doing photography for more than 14 years and I had an interesting path already: I've worked in Minsk, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, and Thailand. Currently working in the Tri-state area.

Awarded Best of Zola
Eugene beautifully captured our perfect day! He was very communicative through the booking process and affordable for extremely high-quality photos. Me and my group were unsure of how to pose, but he made us feel at ease and comfortable by talking us through every photo! He made sure to capture every little detail throughout the day. He sent the photos to us within a few weeks after the wedding, and we couldn't be happier with how they came out!

Hi, I'm Lucia! As a photojournalist and documentary photographer, I capture weddings, elopements, and engagements with raw emotion, cinematic storytelling, and an editorial edge. I focus on creating images that are as real, timeless, and personal as your love story. We'll go beyond classic poses. It's the intimate glances, the sidekick laughter, the never-ending hugs, the tears of joy, and those moments of pure connection what I love capturing. Whether it’s the intimacy of an elopement, the excitement of an engagement, or the energy of a full wedding, I preserve the emotions that make your day unforgettable. IG and Gmail: bigapplelovestories

Lucia was simply a wonder to have on our wedding day. The communication before and during the event was amazing and we had plenty of time to do pictures before walking down the aisle. She then captured our ceremony and our party in such a perfect way. We are in absolute awe. The photos are so emotional, and we are so happy to have these incredible moments with our family documented forever.

Jon was an absolute joy to work with from the first call, to the ultimate delivery of the photos. He is fun, easy going, encouraging, and unfailingly positive and able to go with the flow. His photos were beyond belief. Every important moment was captured perfectly. It was as if there were 5 of him. We have one moment captured from one angle, and then what seemed like the very next moment captured from what seems to be all the way across the room. He was completely unintrusive while somehow also nailing every single beautiful moment. I could not possibly recommend him highly enough. Thank you Jon!
