Eileen Meny Photography

Eileen Meny is a curious New York based photographer who appreciates the fine art of a delicious sandwich, chaotic cities, and the ocean. I graduated from Brown University with a degree in Theater Arts and went on to pursue acting in Chicago and NYC. I transitioned from theater to photography while discovering the ability to express the beauty, tension, emotion, and celebration of life more readily in photography than theater.

I create narrative images inspired by humor and empathy. I find honest moments to take truthful pictures. Quiet and loud, anxious and hopeful, stoic and silly - love comes in so many shades. Every wedding is a mix of choreography and improvisation in how I photograph the day. I lean more towards a documentary approach--capturing each moment organically as it happens--but I also love chasing down beautiful light and directing couples to create unique portraits. Weight and levity coexist on every wedding day and it’s always an honor to be trusted with the role of photographer.
