I'm obsessed with Charlene! She was a dream to work with. She brought such professionalism to our hectic event. We were planning a wedding at a personal property, meaning we had to supply every single vendor and she handled everything amazingly. She wrangled the vendors prior to the day of and she helped me keep my cool during the stress of the morning. You can tell she's a pro at this! There were times I felt a little underwater in terms of managing an event I had no experience with, and her demeanor was so calming and she handled any last minute things. We first met Connie Clark when our daughter was organizing her wedding reception. At that time, Connie was involved with a startup venue that was undergoing renovations. To cut a long story short, around 7 PM the evening before our daughter's reception, it became clear that the venue was not prepared. When the venue manager was not responding to her calls, she rallied the group that was financing the remodeling project. By 10 PM, the lead investor instructed Connie to find an alternative location for the reception, which was scheduled for the following evening. Connie reached out to a nearby coffee shop/bar, explained the situation, and requested the on-duty manager to contact the owner to see if the reception could be held there. Shortly after, Connie received confirmation that the reception would take place at the new venue. She informed the investment group about the change in location and began reorganizing for the new space. Our family learned of the change around 7:30 AM on the day of the reception, and once we gave our approval, Connie assembled a team and transformed the coffee house/bar into a beautiful reception hall. What Connie managed to coordinate and accomplish in such a brief period was truly remarkable.

Her background in planning events started in the nonprofit industry in 2004, when she was responsible for coordinating the annual Shake it for Shelter fundraising event at COMPASS for Kids for several years. At Cradles to Crayons, Sarah oversaw all of the organization's signature events, including the 700-person annual Backpack-a-thon and the largest fundraiser of the year, the "Un-Gala". Sarah also worked at Facing History and Ourselves, where she planned their annual 900-person benefit dinner and advised their ten company offices on event strategy and execution.

When we started wedding planning, the only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted day-of coordination support. After we toured Olio and met Sarah, booking with her team at Without A Hitch was a no brainer and truly worth every penny. Our coordinator, Allison, supported us all along the way; no question was too big or too small. Her responses were timely, infinitely useful, and a massive weight off of our shoulders throughout the entire process. We leaned on many of her recommendations for vendors, including some of our very favorite wedding components like the arcade games we set up for guests and our awesome DJ. As we got closer to the event, it became clear just how great our choice was to work with Allison and Without a Hitch, they kept us (and our many, many vendors!) organized and I felt confident our day would go to plan. Allison was encouraging, kind, and even helped up coordinate an epic visit from Santa Claus to surprise our guests on the dance floor. The Without a Hitch team was so professional and couple-oriented, I could really tell they wanted us to have the experience we were looking for, and put us first throughout the process. We couldn't have done it without them!

Liv truly stepped up for the ceremony to make sure all of our requests happened, even with changes happening the day before. The reception was perfect and Liv made sure our vision became a reality. Booking Cassie to be my wedding coordinator three months out to my wedding day was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! I really thought I did not want or need a planner/coordinator, but having Cassie there really allowed me to enjoy my wedding. Cassie was diligent, organized, responsive, and patient. Cassie was so on top of every detail and knew all my vendors’ contracts inside and out! I had done lots of research online to make sure I knew every detail going into the wedding planning process, but there were some things I would not have known and Cassie was able to guide me through. For example, one of my vendors insisted an additional hour of rental time needed to be added to the wedding day (that would have cost me hundreds of dollars) and Cassie advocated for me, citing their contract, that it was not necessary. Cassie was also available to help make decisions regarding decor, helping me decide on pieces that best suited and enhanced the venue. I explained my vision of romantic candles everywhere throughout the event. Cassie and I worked together to shape where everything would go to create the seamless look. Cassie (and her assistant Cammie) made everything look stunning on the wedding day - and expertly packed up everything at the end of the night for us. I thought I could have my sister or family friend be in charge of so many of these tasks, but it was *so nice* delegating this out to a professional so that everyone could enjoy the day. My wedding was this past weekend, and I still want to shout Amanda's praises from every rooftop! Hire her now! We had a complex wedding design: a full three-night, four-day weekend with several different spaces and layouts involved, and different guest lists for each day. Amanda handled everything masterfully. Every detail was exactly as we imagined (and more!), and she was a true joy to work with. My mother and I have different working styles and visions, and somehow Amanda found a way to meet both of our needs at each turn and help us avoid any conflict with one another. Amanda is highly detail-oriented and has a way of handling so many things "behind the scenes" and well in advance of the wedding - including crafting much of the decor and guest gifts weeks in advance, then personally transporting them to the wedding. It was efforts like this that really set her apart from other planners -- measurably reducing our stress each moment and taking things off our very full plates. We will genuinely miss speaking and working with Amanda. Our only regret was not hiring her sooner - she joined us after we had personally booked our venue and a handful of vendors, but having her with us earlier would have only enhanced our planning process.

Working with Marissa and her team at MB Events, was by far the best decision my husband and I could have made during our wedding planning process. Marissa truly goes above and beyond for her clients, and her passion for her work is apparent from start to finish. My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team. Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Personally, the only downside I’ve found about working with Marissa has been the end of it all… because it feels kind of like I don’t have my best friend around anymore!

Having had a strong passion for events, she jumped at the opportunity and coordinated her first wedding in August 2019. Her love for wedding planning has only continued to grow over the years, helping dozens of brides have the wedding they have always dreamed of while growing a team of wedding professionals to help her do so.

You will be so happy you hired MK Your Dream Day to make sure your wedding weekend goes seamlessly. We interviewed 4-5 wedding planner candidates and chose Mary Kate and her team because they offered a final 60 days package that was perfect for what we needed (we had already hired almost all of our wedding weekend vendors). By the time our big weekend arrived, we didn’t have to make any decisions about logistics, we were just able to be fully present and enjoy everything. We were thrilled to have Nicole as our primary planner. She is on top of everything. What stood out was Nicole’s proactive attention to detail. As our wedding day approached, she kept thinking of little details about our wedding to address that we would never have thought of. In their very helpful wedding portal, we were able to view a draft timeline of our wedding weekend more than six weeks out. Seeing the weekend laid out in detail well in advance minimized any potential stress we might have otherwise had. In addition to planning and executing the wedding day, Nicole also managed our rehearsal dinner with setup, vendor management, some cleanup so that our family didn’t have to do a thing and could just enjoy the event. On our wedding day, Nicole was accompanied by two assistants who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the getting ready hours, first look, photos, the ceremony, and the reception. The whole team was clearly on the same page and coordinating with each other behind the scenes. Nicole and Mary Kate were amazing to work with and we enjoyed spending time with them leading up to and on our wedding weekend. They came down to our rehearsal dinner venue, ceremony space, and reception venue for a 60-minute site visit and courteously spent two full hours with us making sure every detail and logistic was covered, in addition to ensuring our parents didn’t have to lift a finger when it came to executing the rehearsal dinner in their backyard. Nicole excelled at solving complex problems, like when our bus company went AWOL and we needed to add another bus for our big day. She relentlessly tracked down the right person and secured our second bus, then worked through our complicated itinerary and bus schedule to get everyone where they needed to go.
