The Flowr Studio
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Orange, CT

Hi there! I’m Josslyn, a Connecticut-based wedding florist and the founder of The Flowr Studio, a Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I love creating florals that feel organic and inspired by nature, with a balance of garden style and modern elegance. Every arrangement is a chance to express creativity, tell a story, and bring beauty into a moment that matters. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

Awarded Best of Zola
The Flowr Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first conversation, Joss and her team were easy to communicate with, efficient in their responses, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The floral arrangements they created for our special day were of the highest quality - absolutely gorgeous, unique and classic in design. The flowers were truly stunning, and I'll look back on them forever and smile. Joss is the best of the best, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect floral experience for our wedding. The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! Her communication throughout the process was clear, understanding, and attentive, and she was always quick to respond. The quality of her work was truly professional, and the floral design was exactly what I had envisioned for our special day! She was also incredibly flexible, making last-minute changes to our order the month before the wedding without any issues. The setup and overall design was absolutely beautiful - especially our ceremony arch! I would highly recommend Fountainhead Floral Design to any couple looking for a reliable, talented, and customer-focused wedding florist!

We are absolutely thrilled with the floral arrangements from Rebel Rose for our wedding! From the initial consultation to the final setup, the entire experience was exceptional. Tracy has an incredible eye for design and truly understood our coastal meets Bridgerton vision. She created stunning bouquets, centerpieces, and alter arrangements that perfectly complemented our wedding theme and added a touch of elegance to every detail. The flowers were not only beautiful but also fresh and vibrant, making a lasting impression on our guests. What really stood out was her attentiveness and dedication to bringing our ideas to life. I had collected more vases than I had originally planned on and Tracy ran with it. She made vignettes of large vases and bud vases, taking a fresh spin on things by using one flower type per vase. Her suggestions turned out even better than I imagined. Tracy’s professionalism and passion for her craft was evident throughout the process. The florals were one of the highlights of our wedding day, and we are so grateful to Tracy for her exceptional work. Thank you for making our special day even more beautiful with your incredible floral designs!

I instinctually fell in love with the creativity of floral design and it wasn’t long until Willow & Grey was born. Lauren Flanagan Design
Rating: 5.0 (8 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Orange, CT

Forever a lover of nature, I draw inspiration from the natural world and am most at peace and at home among the plants and trees. I love spending time outdoors, hiking with my dog, and working in my garden growing food and flowers. I have a life long passion for art and design and have worked as an artist for much of my life. In 2013 I found myself fusing my love for art and flowers when I began working in floral design. I quickly fell in love with the ritual of creating with fresh florals. In the years since, I've had the opportunity to hone my skills and style and provide unique and gorgeous designs for some wonderful couples.

We booked Lauren Flanagan Design for our wedding, and they were wonderful to work with. Lauren and the team captured the requested style and delivered wonderful arrangements within our budget. We were flexible with the types of flowers, and couldn't be happier with the result. The delivery, the set up, the transition from the ceremony to the reception was all very smooth, and I absolutely loved to have it all done so beautifully and stress free! Thank you Lauren and the team!

Gabriele's Hand Designs
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Orange, CT

Gabriele's Hand Designs is an independently owned floral design studio that has been a successful part of the Connecticut and southern New England wedding community since 1992. We are dedicated to artfully designed personal flowers, ceremonies, and receptions and we cater to the unique style and budget of each of our clients on an individual basis. Gabriele's Hand Designs is owned and operated by Gabriele DeFrances, with a team of freelance professional designers. Gabriele works personally with each client and coordinates directly with her team to ensure that their event perfectly matches their vision.

Our wedding flowers were absolutely above and beyond. Gabriele's Hand Designs is my mom's business so I am familiar with the quality of her work, but despite this I was still blown away by the quality and beauty of our wedding's flower arrangements. They perfectly captured the urban fairy-tale style I was going for and Gabriele crafted a unique look based on the colors palette I shared, preferred flower types (I knew I wanted roses) and Pinterest boards shared. She did the hard part of making it all come together into lively, whimsical creations that captured our wedding vibe perfectly. I particularly loved the little mushroom bud vases she found which were perfect for us.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (78 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Orange, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
This is my second experience with Flower Moxie, and it was just as good if not better than the first time around. I did the flowers for my friends’ kids’ weddings and used Flower Moxie as our primary source, especially for the more unusual flowers. We used another source for some of the filler flowers that was very inexpensive (starts with a C and ends with an o…) and the flowers were inexpensive and plentiful, but not as exciting as the ones available here, the quality was not the same, but the biggest difference is the customer service. We had a few issues with the flowers (I think it would be surprising not to, based on how many and what kind we ordered), and Alexa, Luis, and Mariale were AMAZING with their immediate and helpful support. They rushed out replacements that were perfect, and worked with us to make sure we were 100% happy with everything. Huge shout out to their team - it is very stressful in the days leading up to the big event, and they took a big weight off. If you are unsure about what to get, I highly recommend going with their packages based on color — their recommendations for flowers and amounts are spot on. The videos showing you how to build everything are incredibly helpful and delightfully snarky. I highly recommend!!

First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.
