Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Oakwood Creek made our wedding dreams come true...if you are looking for a rustic, charming, cozy, and intimate venue, look no further - you have found it in Oakwood Creek. As a couple that paid for our wedding ourselves, finding the perfect venue, location, setting all within budget started out challenging. But after one tour at Oakwood Creek, we knew right away we found our venue. (It actually was our first and only tour, that's how certain we were.) We had 35 guests (planned for 40) and it was the perfect size. My husband and I only wanted our closest friends and family so this venue was perfect for us. We were able to get plate rentals through the venue and coordinated all of our vendors through Oakwood Creek. The entire team at Oakwood Creek is amazing. I definitely had a few moments of tears before the wedding after 100% rain was forecasted on my wedding day but the team pivoted everything indoors for the reception and we were able to do the ceremony outside. They all kept me grounded and answered every single one of my questions (there were MANY) lol! Tables & chairs are not included.  *Ole Firehouse -- The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. We had our wedding at Carter Lane Estates, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful! We had our ceremony on the lawn, tucked away and surrounded by gorgeous landscaping of rock work and olive trees. We had our reception in the barn, and everything was exactly as we hoped. Jennifer was so kind, communicative, and very easy to work with! Since she knows the layout of her property so well, she knew what decor would look good, and where to place furniture and vendors. Jennifer assisted with the supervision of our chair and arbor deliveries, and was the point person for the rest of the vendors, so the bride and groom could relax. She made the whole event seamless! Highly recommend this place!

We had our wedding at the knife house, or more a 4-day long weekend with about 50 friends and family. While most stayed at hotels in Palm Springs, the Knife house was the central gathering point and the venue for our ceremony. The house and the grounds are beautiful, but most importantly the host was amazing to work with. Very accommodating to our needs, super responsive and all around professional. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or a better host.

We absolutely loved our experience at HC! The venue is beautiful, intimate, and doesn’t need a lot of decor to spruce it up. It’s gorgeous! Don’t let the noise ordinance scare you; our party was lit!!! Everyone was up & dancing and the sound was the perfect volume. Our guests were blown away by how pretty and comfortable this venue is. Some called it a magical garden- it truly was! Epic Events (coordinators) were AWESOME. I highly recommend working with them. Our wedding was a dream and there is nothing we would have done differently. The venue, decor, and atmosphere provided by the Wedgewood team felt perfect and personal. We are especially thankful to our coordinator Katey, who made us feel welcome and taken care of. She truly went above and beyond for us and we couldn't have imagined a better person to be our coordinator. Our banquet captain, Christina, was lovely and it meant a lot that she constantly came to check on us throughout the night and made sure we had everything we needed. We also want to thank Andrea, our DJ, who helped us modify our timeline on the fly when we were running a bit late and was right on point with our music. One of the most special moments was our private dance at the very end of the night. Andrea played our song and then both she and the Wedgewood staff turned away and let us have the moment completely to ourselves. It was a moment I will never forget and I'm so thankful that we stumbled across Canopy Grove and decided to tour the venue (in fact, it was the only wedding venue we toured because we knew right away). We are eternally grateful and Canopy Grove will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you!

My husband and I got married at Secluded Garden Estate back in February. I have no regrets in choosing this venue. There were some hiccups right before and after our event happened. The venue owners were very kind and welcoming to us and what our vision was. It is on their home property so be prepared to share the smaller Bridal Suite area and possibly hear some noise as you’re getting ready. There was no all inclusive package available for us so we had to bring EVERYTHING and get it from, outside vendors. We chose this so that we could make it more our own. They did offer heaters for a certain price but we chose not to use them after all. The day of staff were so incredibly helpful, all the men that were there offered to lend a helping hand to our family as they cleaned up. Because of this, there was some miscommunication between us and the vendor owners. So, please be clear with the staff that you do not want to get charged for something that you aren’t supposed to. Also, make sure to just communicate with the owners of how you should coordinate with the vendors, such as day and time of drop off and pick up. (Ex. Tables and chairs) Overall, we loved this venue. It was what we had envisioned for our special day and we are blessed because of it. Hope this helped someone!!! :D

Wow wow wow! We truly can’t say enough amazing things about our experience getting married at Ethereal Gardens. From start to finish, my husband and I felt so taken care of. We worked with Bernadette as our wedding planner and she couldn’t have been more of a joy to work with. She was so detailed oriented and attentive, which made the planning process feel easy and fun, and she truly brought our dream wedding to life. On our wedding day there was a mixup in days with our donut vendor (so they didn’t show up) and literally within a matter of an hour Bernadette and her team found a new vendor, placed a new order, and even took the liberty to go pick up and deliver the 100 donuts.. they made sure my husband and I knew any hiccups or stresses were taken care of by them so we could just enjoy our day day. They also let us bring our dog which was an amazing perk! The venue is stunning and the Ethereal Gardens team will do everything in their power to make sure your day is a DREAM - highly recommend! I had my wedding here and you have access to the whole building, terrace, movie theater and amphitheater. It was a JOY working with Janet (operations manager). Maybe the best part is that what you pay to rent the facility goes to the MTRP Foundation to support the park- it's like making a donation! We loved that so much.
