My name is Jennifer Dery, so nice to meet you. I notice the little details: the magnetic connection between people, how to see and find the gorgeous light, who is where in the room, and so much more. The result are images with feelings, stories, and visual depth. I bet we’re similar. Experiences often hold more appeal than “things”. Feeling present and “in-the-moment” makes or breaks a special occasion. “Doing it for the plot” isn’t a big jump, it is just how we normally operate.

I grew up with a camera at my side at all times, yet just took it for granted. I guess in my mind “art” was something different; like paint on canvas or sculpture. Photography was a fun surprise to discover. I found early on that great images can only happen when we are happy, connected, and present.
