Mini Melanie was founded in 2015 by sisters Melanie and Diana Moss. Melanie grew up baking with their grandmother, and her hobby steadily grew into an obsession. While attending Northwestern University, Melanie studied in Paris and was Sous Chef at Cours de Cuisine atelier. She later attended the Institute of Culinary Education and honed her craft in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Babbo and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, where she was Pastry Sous Chef. Melanie’s desserts have been recognized in the 2016 New York City Michelin guide, and in 2018, Melanie became Champion of a special-themed chocolate competition on Food Network’s CHOPPED.

At Mini Melanie, we welcome a couple's creative input and design and pride ourselves on attention to detail, flexibility to customize, and stellar customer service. As a family-run business, we are here to make the wedding cake process feel comfortable and fun, and to help you make lifelong memories of that first sweet bite as a happy couple. Plus, our desserts and cake taste as good as they look so your guests will be asking the next day, "who made that cake? it actually tasted amazing, and I don't usually eat wedding cake!"

    Mini cakes: a fabulous alternative!

    When we were planning our wedding, we decided that a traditional cake wasn't for us. So, we turned to Mini Melanie and selected her individual mini cakes. We served the cakes as the desert course at our seated dinner. Our guests were delighted. The extra cakes we had ordered were hungrily consumed by guest who snuck back to the kitchen for seconds! The cakes were elegant and delicious. Everything about the process - from the tasting to delivery - was professional and efficient. Now, Mini Melanie is our go-to source for birthday cakes, too!

    Delicious & unique treats for all occasions
