So here it is. Short & sweet. My sister was expecting her third baby, she was in her third trimester and I decided to plan a baby shower because what the heck, every new baby deserves to be celebrated.

As a wedding cake specialist, we have been open since 2004 in High Point, NC. I have trained with different instructors from around the world. We have created beautiful cakes for well over 2,000 couples, letting people know you can have a beautiful cake that actually taste delicious.

I am Deseree, owner/baker of Sweet Haven. I am a self-taught baker and have been baking for as long as I can remember. I'm a don’t skip dessert after dinner, give me anything sweet and chocolate, kind of girl. While I have always loved all things sweet, my true passion sparked when my son was born in 2018. I made a point to make everything from scratch and wanted to plan and bake for his first birthday. His desserts and cake for his special day went off without a hitch, and from that point on I have been baking and decorating ever since. Kupkake Kouture Charlotte was established in 2012. Initiated out of the love of baking for children within the local school system. The owner, Shannon Reaves, decided that the love of baking needed to be extended out to the world. So, she did just that!!! After taking cake decorating classes at a local craft store I fell in love with the decorating aspect of the craft.
