“Short version: We hired DJ Aeron from Bouquet sound to DJ/MC our wedding reception this May in Santa Barbara. I could not recommend Bouquet Sound or DJ Aeron in particular more highly. Bouquet Sound was fantastic to work with: transparent, quick to respond, flexible, and very reasonably priced. No notes, great experience. DJ Aeron is just next level. He was a blast to work with and a master of his craft. Once we spent about 45 minutes chatting about our shared music (and video game) taste on our intro call, we knew we'd found the right DJ for us. Aeron's MCing style exudes calm and command -- he's an expert and letting people know what's happening and where they need to be while keeping the mood light without putting the spotlight on himself. Aeron is also just an exceptional DJ, full stop. We shared a Spotify playlist with him a few weeks before the wedding to help him understand our general musical vibe, and he crushed it all afternoon and evening. Aeron read the vibes of the room perfectly, nailed my wife and I's musical vibe, and had some absolutely diabolical cuts and transitions. Aeron is just an incredible DJ and so fun to work with. “Seth was the best wedding DJ that we could have hoped for! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

“When I started planning my 40th birthday party, I couldn't decide between a band or a DJ. Each one I was looking at was just not the vibe and I was starting to get discouraged. Then, a friend of mine posted a story at a party where Tyler was DJing/playing the sax, and right away I knew he was the missing piece. I've attended parties with a sax player before, but NEVER like this and never one who does BOTH the DJing AND the sax! From the moment I reached out, Tyler was incredible. He followed up quickly and was great with all communications - we hopped on a call and to go over my theme and ideas, and he was so receptive and amazing with adding in things to help take my existing ideas to the next level. He even helped with the floor plan suggestions to help ensure my goal of "everyone being on the dance floor with me all night" would be more achievable - and omg am I glad I listened. Additionally, he suggested extending the party 1 hour, and thankfully we did because my initial timing guess was way off. Bottom line - trust him, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. At the same time, he was never pushy and I never felt like I HAD to go with his ideas, but again, so glad I did. On the night of the party, from start to finish Tyler and his team were flawless. He made sure to play all of my "must play" songs, and read the vibes of the room perfectly - I've truly never seen some of my guests dance this much EVER. The amount of people who came up to me that night and have texted and called me since to tell me how epic Tyler and his team were is not surprising in the least. Multiple guests described it as the "best party they've ever been to" and said they "haven't danced that much since college" (and let's just say, it's been at least 15-20 years since then for all of us). One of my friends even booked him on the spot for her upcoming birthday! I could truly go on and on, but I will just end with this - DON'T THINK TWICE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE, BOOK TYLER. You will NOT regret it! Thanks Tyler and team for the most epic night of my life!!! (also, I wish I could upload videos here because photos don't do any justice!!!)”

He allowed us to relive the most important day of our lives again and again. That level of thoughtfulness is beyond anything we could have imagined. Our wedding was perfect because of him. He exceeded every expectation and gave us more than we ever dreamed possible. He is, without question, the most talented, kind, and extraordinary musician and DJ we have ever met. “The Moon Units made my wedding. It all started when my wife (fiancee at the time) forwarded me an Instagram clip of them because she knew I was set on hiring a live band. I took my sweet time to cast a wide net and to follow, interview, and compare A LOT of bands. We went out to watch our top two choices and when we saw The Moon Units' positive energy, ability to rock the crowd, and musical skill, we immediately knew that they were meant to be our band (just like when we saw the venue we wanted, we just knew). They are highly accommodating, musically versatile, and truly professional, Hollywood type performers who will seal the deal on upgrading your wedding from already great to one of the greatest your guests have ever been to. The three things that most impressed me about them during my wedding were: 1) they gave it their all on every song whether there were two people on the dance floor or the whole group (and believe me, your guests will notice this too), 2) they were able to improvise to seamlessly integrate with all my other vendors and moving parts without any interruptions, as if my wedding was truly an entertainment production, and 3) whether they were singing rock, hiphop (yacht version), metal, r&b, pop, Kpop, oldies, or jazz, they performed as if it was their main genre. We requested them to learn two of our favorite songs that we loved but were skeptical that they could perform because of how hard they were to sing, and man did they prove us wrong! Each of the musicians are friendly, multi talented/multi instrument, down to earth people who love what they do and have a great time performing. They output pure sound candy and also look great doing it. Your stage will be glammed up and filled out, and your guests will compliment and remember your band choice even more than your food, I guarantee it. My wife and I are now semi-groupies (and I'm not ashamed as their gigs take me back to the best night of my life), and we aren't the only ones! That's something that no Youtube clip or online review can really convey. Good luck and have a great time wedding planning, but hire The Moon Units!!!”

However, I do want to note that I do require that the couple has a Day of Coordinator (not the venue coordinator as they are different). “DJ Trey is THE BEST DJ!!! I wish we had even more time on the dance floor to keep letting him mix because he’s a genuinely fantastic DJ! Not just a DJ who sets up an iPhone or Spotify and lets it ride mindlessly, but a DJ who reads the crowd, takes input from the bride and groom, and uses his skill and best judgement to provide music that gets everyone on the dance floor. Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!”
