Welcome to Kendra's Country Bakery where every cake is customized to suit your needs! My initial inspiration comes from my grandparents. Although I was young when they passed, I can still remember my grandfather's signature red buttercream rose hidden on every cake. In the beginning, while raising my family with my husband, I was so excited to get into the baking world and learn what it had to offer. I had been baking for years so I decided to do what I love and share it with others!

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by weddings and events. My family owns an event venue there still. I took a detour and played professional golf for a number of years before A. Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. I am in love with the process of learning, practicing and executing new and fun techniques on my clients’ cakes. More than that, creating a cake for someone’s special day gives me the most warm feeling. It’s truly why I do what I do.

We have an awesome job! Seriously. Being in the business of making wedding cakes is amazing. Not only do we get to do for a living what millions of people do for a hobby, but we are constantly meeting couples that are in the midst of the happiest time of their lives.
