“We are an older couple, and this was a second marriage for both of us, so I am not sure most people would understand the amount of time and effort we spent to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We are a blended family with 8 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. We were both young parents, so our kids are early 20's, and we have extended family into their 80's - we are literally talking decades of music tastes to cater to. We are both avid music lovers, so having someone that could work with us to help set the perfect tone for our day was vitally important. We started looking for our vendors 2 years ahead of time and when I say we literally vetted over 50 DJs to find the perfect one, it is not a stretch of the truth. What first drew us to DJ Johnny was his videos. We were looking for a DJ that was fun and outgoing, someone to interact with the guests, but not be overbearing. We had been to plenty of weddings where the DJs barely interacted with the guests, and others where you felt like you were in a club and the show was all about the DJ and not the couple. Neither of these were the vibe we were looking for. What we wanted was someone who was experienced, loved their job and knew how to read the room to keep the party going. DJ Johnny's videos seemed to show just that, so we scheduled a call with him. After talking to him, we were fairly certain we had found our guy, but did our due diligence with our other DJ choices as well. We kept coming back to Johnny, because of his personality. He was confident in his skills, but he was in no way arrogant or overbearing. Just very down to Earth and fun loving - a guy who seemed to be fortunate enough to be able to do what he loved and bring other people joy at the same time. After a second call, where Johnny was able to answer some potential concerns, we knew we had our DJ. Johnny is amazing with answering any emails and addressing any questions or concerns. He was able to cater to the music and any announcements we needed. We have family with some very hard to pronounce names, and he made notes to make sure he pronounced everyone's names perfectly (bride's included). He performed for both our ceremony and reception, and the amount of compliments from guests about the music were too numerous to count. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor was empty, he kept the music flowing, the energy high, the guests engaged and just the entire night was fantastic. I can honestly say that our wedding could not have been as flawless as it was without the help of DJ Johhny. Words alone cannot express our gratitude with DJ Johnny and the integral part he played in making our day both memorable and absolutely perfect. If we ever have the need for a DJ again in the future, DJ Johnny will most certainly be our guy!”

“The Music Boutique was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive, and always providing us with great ideas, suggestions, and guidance to make our day special. We had a duo playing for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and then we had a small 3 person band playing for our reception. And it was the perfect amount of people. We had spoken to some other bands and they all kept saying we need some big band for the reception, but since we were having less than 100 people at the wedding, we didn’t think it made sense to have like a 10 person band, it just seemed like it would overwhelm the whole wedding. And we knew we wanted a band component since my father plays guitar and I had a feeling would want to play a song at some point. Then we spoke with Scott, he seemed to understand our vision of having a small band. He loved the idea of my father playing a song, and made suggestions on when was the perfect time for him to play, and even laughed along with our idea of playing “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, over and over again, since we were getting married on “the 21st night of September” (we did not do this)! The day of the band was amazing! They even took the time to learn our first dance song, which was a fairly unknown track, and played it beautifully, and surprised us with playing it. Since we thought it was just going to be a recorded version of the song. That was very special to us! And they were more than happy to let my dad play his song to us. Overall, the band's performance was lively and engaging, and they kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to help make our wedding celebration so memorable, and couldn’t have done it with Scott!”

People loved the food, florals, venue, etc. - but we received by far the most compliments about DJ Pat. I (bride) never left the dance floor once... The mixing and transitions to pack as many songs in as possible was fantastic. We like a pretty broad range of genres, and he absolutely nailed it. There was also an amazing balance of music for different generations present - way better executed than we could have dreamed of. We also appreciated the pep talk for our wedding party beforehand, it really set the tone for the whole night! It was really nice getting to know DJ Pat leading up to the wedding as well. He was always available to chat via video call or text if needed. And his shared spreadsheet helped us immensely during the chaos that is wedding planning (especially planning from abroad). Big weddings, small weddings, outdoor ceremonies in gracious gardens, intimate funky venues, you name it, I've done them all. But don't get me wrong, no matter how many weddings are in my future, never ever will it be a matter of being there, done that. No matter how many weddings I do, all my energy goes into each. For those precious few hours I am more than just a wedding dj in the Tri state area, I'm proud to say I am part of countless couple's lives.

“The communication with Prime 1 Productions could have been better leading up to the wedding. While they did a decent job overall with the music and entertainment, they could have done a better job reading the vibe of the room and playing more of a variety of songs that got everyone dancing. The person I booked with was not the one who actually came to our wedding, which was a bit of a surprise. However, the DJ who did come was very nice and tried his best, even though he messed up the intro to our first dance a bit. Overall, Prime 1 Productions provided a serviceable performance, but I wish they had been a bit more in tune with the energy and preferences of our guests.”

“We absolutely loved working with DJ Maggie Mayy for our wedding! One of the most important things to us was having vendors that we felt we could connect with and who understood the vibe we wanted for the day. As soon as we reached out to Maggie we knew that she would be an amazing fit. She was thorough in her emails, and incredibly responsive- I never had to follow up with her or wait on her to answer questions. She was also so kind in her emails, and we could tell how much she loves her job. On the wedding day, we had a few curveballs thrown at us due to weather, and Maggie was super flexible as our coordinator worked out the details. A really sweet touch that I loved was that she came over to check on me and my husband during cocktail hour and dinner to make sure we were doing well and to see if we needed anything. She also fully understood the vibe we were going for based on our must play/do not play lists, and chose the perfect songs all night (even an unprompted "Season of Love" during dinner that had me and my friends out of our seats singing on the dance floor lol). She brought so much energy to the room, and was a perfect emcee- not too overbearing, but fun and lively all night long. We had such a blast, and we truly cannot recommend hiring Maggie enough. She will do everything she can to make sure you have a perfect night!”

“Wow! DJ Lou exceeded our expectations! When it came to the reception we didn't have to do a thing but the preparation came months before that. We had an initial planning meeting, he set us up with our own timeline (an app that he created!), we had a follow-up meeting and then a week-of meeting! We felt so ready when the day came but were still so surprised about how much DJ Lou did for us. He was checking to see if we were okay, pulling us away to make sure we were eating, working with our other vendors so seamlessly- our ceremony musicians, our officiant, our family band, and our photographer! It made the reception a hit among all our guests! We can't recommend him enough!”
