The Flowr Studio

5.0

  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves North Haven, CT

Hi there! I’m Josslyn, a Connecticut-based wedding florist and the founder of The Flowr Studio, a Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I love creating florals that feel organic and inspired by nature, with a balance of garden style and modern elegance. Every arrangement is a chance to express creativity, tell a story, and bring beauty into a moment that matters. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

Awarded Best of Zola
The Flowr Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first conversation, Joss and her team were easy to communicate with, efficient in their responses, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The floral arrangements they created for our special day were of the highest quality - absolutely gorgeous, unique and classic in design. The flowers were truly stunning, and I'll look back on them forever and smile. Joss is the best of the best, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect floral experience for our wedding. I highly recommend The Flowr Studio to any couple looking for a top-notch florist who will bring their vision to life.

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Our wedding was held at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in June 2024. Kate was such a pleasure to work with and really brought our floral vision to life! I appreciated her free excel planning tools and how responsive she was from our first inquiry. After our first phone call, I realized that she is incredibly easy-going and down to earth, in addition to being well-organized. These are qualities you want in your wedding vendors. I have always loved florals and she helped me craft a vision that stayed within our budget. Our theme was coastal vineyard - I wanted the vibe to be loose & romantic without veering too rustic. She found this balance perfectly! On our wedding day, she arrived early and took care of everything quietly without a hitch! I didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't recommend Fountainhead Floral enough!

Tracey came highly recommended by our wedding planner and for a good reason. My husband and I knew that we wanted flowers that were colorful and really popped. We were able to show Tracey our inspo photos and through that she curated a unique set of florals for our special day. The amount of compliments we received on our florals was insane. Tracey is also such a joy and pleasure to work with. If you’re looking for an incredible and passionate florist than Tracey is your girl!

Willow & Grey

5.0

  • Serves North Haven, CT

I instinctually fell in love with the creativity of floral design and it wasn’t long until Willow & Grey was born. WG creates unique, romantic, and whimsical floral designs for weddings and events in New England. My desire is to curate florals that reflect and celebrate the beauty and magic in life’s most cherished moments.

I can't say enough good things about Renee and the incredible work she did for our wedding. From the moment I first met her, it was clear she had an amazing gift. She took my scattered ideas and turned them into a breathtaking vision. The arrangements and installations she created were nothing short of magical—each piece was carefully crafted, with stunning attention to detail. I couldn't believe how she brought together all the elements I envisioned, while also adding her own artistic touches that made everything even more beautiful than I imagined. Renee truly brought our wedding to life with her flowers, and I’m so grateful for her talent and dedication. If you want someone who can turn your floral dreams into reality, Renee is the one to go to!

Wild Grown Floral was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! Everything was completely seamless from start to finish, and the designs were more than I could have ever imagined. Lindsay was incredibly responsive, so kind, and truly went above and beyond. Her pricing was amazing, especially for the level of artistry she brings. She was also incredible because she used her knowledge of our venue, Wright’s Mill, to figure out exactly what was needed and where. Forever a lover of nature, I draw inspiration from the natural world and am most at peace and at home among the plants and trees. I love spending time outdoors, hiking with my dog, and working in my garden growing food and flowers. I have a life long passion for art and design and have worked as an artist for much of my life. In 2013 I found myself fusing my love for art and flowers when I began working in floral design. I quickly fell in love with the ritual of creating with fresh florals. In the years since, I've had the opportunity to hone my skills and style and provide unique and gorgeous designs for some wonderful couples.

I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!

First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.
