We were married 12/27/25 at Woodsgate at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. There was truly magic in the air. Everything leading up to the day was seamless, and come the wedding weekend, the magic continued. This venue takes care of everything - lodging, decorations, F&B, floral arrangements, wedding cake, hair & make up services, and the on-site team that helps you every step of the way. Woodsgate is simply stunning, the beautiful building along with the ethereal woodland chapel. Although there was a snow storm and we couldn’t use the chapel, the staff ensured we had a beautiful ceremony underneath the outdoor pavilion which was gorgeous in itself. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, we opted for a welcome hot cocoa bar, 35 passed hor d’ourves for cocktail hour, delicious entrees, an amazing chocolate raspberry buttercream wedding cake, and my personal favorite a milk & cookies dessert bar! We utilized the bridal studio for hair & make up and our ledgemere suite was top tier. We even had our rehearsal dinner onsite at their restaurant in the stone room with a delicious seafood buffet. Grace was our wedding coordinator who is an absolutely doll & was lovely to work with! Our winter wonderland wedding day was so special, so seamless, and was truly the best day of our lives.

Our wedding was originally planned for May of 2020. Pre-COVID, Ashley was very communicative and answer every question timely making us elated with our venue of choice. Once COVID hit we had to adjust our wedding timeline to July. Ashley went above and beyond to help us make all accommodation changes. She kept us informed of protocol and helped us ensure we could still have our wedding while following all safety measures needed for COVID. While our wedding had many bumps, none of them were because of the Anthracite Center and if we needed a redo, we would chose them over and over again.

Choosing Beaverkill Valley Inn as our wedding venue was an absolute dream come true - it's not just one of the best decisions we've made for our wedding. The memories we created there, the truly exceptional hospitality of the staff, the meticulous attention to every tiny detail, and the cuisine were simply out of this world. Diana and Kaitlyn are more than just professionals; they're wedding day superheroes. Their unwavering calm and ingenious problem-solving skills are exactly what every couple needs, especially when facing unpredictable weather or guest-related challenges. They consistently went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Chef Tommy curated a delicious menu and our guests were absolutely gushing about how delicious the food was. It’s rare that wedding food feels restaurant quality but at BVI it is! Every dish was cooked to perfection and was full of flavor. The staff at BVI consistently exceeds expectations. Every time I encountered a staff member, they genuinely inquired about my well-being, offered assistance, and sought ways to alleviate any wedding day stress. It was a truly remarkable experience. Beaverkill Valley Inn's setting is perfect - an ideal location for gathering your guests for a weekend getaway. From the welcoming front porch to the cozy fireplaces and the expansive property complete with bonfires to conclude your evening, it offers everything you could want. Our guests were constantly amazed, often asking, "How did you find this incredible place?" Their admiration extended to the Inn's staff as well. Words can't fully capture the magic of this place, but I'm eternally grateful that we chose Beaverkill Valley Inn for our special day. We're already dreaming of the countless memories we'll create here in the years to come!

The Delaware Valley High School Hall of Fame has held its induction banquet at the Tom Quick for the past three years and we continue to be pleased with the experience and impressed with the attentiveness and professionalism of the entire staff. We were Nick’s second ever wedding at The Mod House back in 2022 (I’m a bit tardy on this review, apologies world!) From the moment we reached out to him, to day-of, he was available, professional and willing to work with us on requests for our (literally) perfect wedding. He recommended local vendors for music and food, all of which we ended up hiring, and they were the perfect fit for the vibe we were going for. We enjoyed him so thoroughly, and wanted him to share in the vision he helped us create so we even invited him to all the wedding festivities and he was the best bonus guest. Our wedding party and families loved getting to know him and learning about the history of the house, the area, and of course, Love Velma. Speaking of the house and property, which really requires no introduction, is downright gorgeous. It is truly a gem, and all of the additions Nick has made over the last few years only adds to its charm. Love, Velma is a wonder and makes you feel transported to another era. It really felt like getting married ‘at home’ in the most glamorous way. Transported to another time—a fever dream, it still almost does not feel real to have been able to be married at such a beautiful place. You can ask us, or any of our guests, everyone will tell you it was the best, most chill, and most fun wedding they have ever been to. A lot of that compliment, if not most of it, is because of The Mod House and Nick’s care and curation of his marvelous jewel.

A Private Barn Estate in The Hudson Valley

5.0

Slate Hill, NY
  • Up to 65 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,000

As a kept-secret private property instead of a public business venture, we share our name, website and corrected address once in touch to discuss possibilities. To hint: we're in the Hudson Valley in the most adorable town, 1.5 hours from New York City; on rural acreage but mere minutes from idyllic Main Street. And as a coveted AirBnB of many years, those who celebrate can return again for years to come... Our six-bedroom barn estate built in 1790 on three acres of lawn and meadow uniquely marries under one 4,000-sq-ft roof a post-and-beam "cathedral" side with soaring 40-foot ceilings and a grand staircase, and a cozier cottage side with farmhouse aesthetic. Aside the manse is a secondary 1,000-sq-ft whitewashed open-space "raw" barn. And fun fact: We host only a handful of events per year on a first-come basis, so you can rest assured that you aren't just filling a slot at a popular venue that will then move on to the next the following day. Let your day be as special as you!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic

The duo at the barn made our wedding day truly special. From their fun, detailed, and easy communication style to the amazing value in being the least expensive we saw, they went above and beyond to create a unique and bespoke experience for us. They let us celebrate in their private home, which felt like a privilege, and made us feel so special in this one-of-a-kind space. The hands-on, personalized attention we received throughout the planning process and on our wedding day was unmatched. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our unforgettable day.

We found Spillian from an online search, and my wife was instantly drawn to the place; I was skeptical. But after touring it for the first time and meeting the owners - Mark and Leigh - it was apparent this was the only place we would want to get married. At Spillian there are no rules, and intentionality is the driving force behind every decision. From the food, to the people, to the actual wedding day, if you can dream it they can accommodate it. We wanted to do our rehearsal dinner there, and they asked us what we wanted for food. I tentatively proposed a build-your-own Bahn Mi bar and Mark wrote back a delicious, detailed menu, complete with boba tea. The food was excellent, and the fact that they have some rooms for you and some guests to stay on site made it even more special. We elected to have our bridal party there and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with them before and after the wedding. We came with all of our own decorations, and our flowers were dropped off the night before, and we were nervous about getting everything set up that day. But Alex and Sam, our day-of coordinators, took care of everything and make it look even better than we had ever imagined. And when it came to the day of, we were so overwhelmed that it was hard to make snap decisions. Sam and Alex were so patient with us, and really helped guide us through the day. I can't sing their praises enough but will publicly thank them here for allowing us to have the wedding of our dreams.

Still riding the high from our wedding weekend! We were absolutely floored by all the work Jen and Ally and the whole Stagecoach team did to make our wedding weekend spectacular! They have several different packages that you can choose from which allowed us to find something that truly worked for us. We ended up having around 115 guests for the wedding and the space was just perfect! We had been to the Inn for dinner before and we knew we wanted to make food a priority. Chef Jerrel hit it out of the park for the rehearsal dinner, the cocktail hour/reception, and the brunch the next morning! Also because they have rooms upstairs, we were able to have our closest family stay and not have to worry about any travel! We couldn't recommend them enough!

We have nothing but positive things to say about our wedding at the Lippincott! Owners Marty and Tricia are a wonderful couple who are so easy to work with. It is clear that they do this because they are genuinely passionate about it and enjoy it. They were very attentive and clear about everything which made the planning a breeze and put us both at ease. Any requests or questions we had were met and answered with no problems. They run this venue like a well oiled machine. The day went so smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Tricia made sure we ate and were enjoying ourselves throughout the whole day. Many of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Not only did they compliment the food, but our guests really loved the venue. The Lippincott is so beautifully decorated and the grounds are gorgeous. We really only had to provide our floral centerpieces and whatever extra decorations we wanted. They provided the tablecloths, runners, napkins, and lots of decorations. Best of all this venue is so affordable. The all inclusive packages were a great option and saved us so much time in looking for vendors. You cannot beat the value and price of this venue. If you are looking for a low stress and affordable venue, consider the Lippincott Manor!

The Inn at West Settlement, lead by owner and DOC, Kim Lynas, was a dream come true! Kim and her team were amazing. They have curated a gorgeous venue, with incredible landscape and beautiful reception barn. The Farmhouse was a wonderful space to stay and get ready. The barn was the perfectly sized space for our 130 person wedding. Kim had an awesome room of decorations for us to use for our decor needs. We really didn’t need to add anything! From candle holders, table numbers, tons of signs, card boxes, flower vases. The Inn works exclusively with Mary’s Cookin’ catering and Rachel’s bartending team. Their experience and thorough knowledge of the space makes for a smooth and professional service experience for all your food and beverage needs. Kim was open-minded and excited about the vendors we did bring in, helping us pick photographers and DJs from previous weddings she thought would match our vibe. She coordinated with all the vendors seamlessly. Having the space for the entire weekend, including a Friday welcome dinner and Sunday farewell brunch was the perfect way to extend an amazing wedding into a three day event. Friday morning was spent with Kim and her team, putting together bouquets from her incredible flower garden and picking out decor from her collection to create the perfect wedding aesthetic to match our dream look. I can’t say thank you enough to this team! Kim, Danny, Areley, Katrina and many more!
