From an early age, I've found my way into the garden: planting, deadheading spent blooms, creating arrangements out of any flower or green. Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

My earliest memories are always centered around picking flowers in my mothers gardens. I would grab one of the glass bottles she collected and play around with any flowers I could find. Flower design is my passion. My shop is located in our 150 year old barn that in itself is full of character. I try to be a vendor who is easy and fun to work with. I am human and understand money does not grow on trees so I try my hardest to work within the client's budget. Each bouquet I create tells a story, each unique beautiful.

I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career in Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part-time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom designs.

I am a central Pennsylvania florist who loves to help brides create their dream flowers with a realistic budget. Hornet Hill flowers officially began in 2024, however I have been creating floral arrangements and bouquets since 2007. I learned the craft from my amazing mother, while watching her create bouquets for family and friends. Our small farm, Hornet Hill, has become my workshop and a place where creativity meets flowers!

Tara has been a long time flower lover and plant geek. Growing up she was a rambunctious toddler and decided to get a head start in the horticulture industry by eating her mothers house plants. This mostly resulted in the poison control center being called repeatedly, but also instilled in her the love of all things "green and growing". She has had her hands in the dirt and been playing with flowers her whole life. With an art background in her family, florals became her artistic expression.

Local artist/entrepreneur Rachel Stevenson has made wedding and event floral design her life's passion. She has been a floral designer since 2004, first at a floral shop in Lancaster County and then branching out on her own business venture in 2008 doing exclusive wedding designs from her floral studio in Myerstown. She has received training not only from her former floral position but also advanced training specifically in wedding design from instructors at the Longwood Gardens Design School.

I am a farmer’s wife, momma to four, two in-laws, and "mamaw" to three little ones. I have a love for all things pretty especially flowers! I was fortunate to have a grandmother that loved flowers, taught me how to care for them and allowed me to make bouquets from her flower gardens. I've always enjoyed combining different elements to an arrangement and creating something unique. Much of my learning started in my grandmother’s flower gardens many years ago. I enjoyed treating friends and family members to special flower arrangements. Now that my children are grown, I decided to take the leap and open my own flower business.

Every arrangement tells a story, carries emotion, and becomes a cherished memory. Generations In Bloom was founded on the foundation of my family’s previous flower shop, Usztics Flower Shop, where my passion for design blossomed. Weddings hold immense significance in a person’s life, and I find immense joy in transforming a couple’s vision into reality. Her passion is large scale design and creative installations, but she gets just as excited planning the perfect bouquet for your small elopement.

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.
