While there he learned everything there is to know about baking. Then, in 1946, he and my mother-in-law, Grace, opened their own bakery on Diversey Avenue in Chicago – Slove Bakery. Their goal was to produce great quality desserts and provide excellent customer service: he did the baking; she the handshaking. Through hard work and determination, they grew the business and the bakery’s reputation as one of the finest in the Chicagoland area.

Any of our stocked flavors are available, and we can order many flavors that we don't normally carry to suit you. We can also custom color our popcorn to match your wedding colors, or do custom mixes like the always popular and delicious "Chicago Mix."
