His email responses were timely, thorough and it was incredibly easy to set up time to meet with him to discuss his and our visions. My husband and I are not camera people in the slightest, and often make silly faces in order to balance our awkwardness. However, Hanel and his assistant made us feel at ease during both shoots, and gave easy directions for us to follow throughout that ultimately made us feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. They were so welcoming/friendly, and we felt like we were just hanging out with our friends for the day. Hanel was able to handle the chaos that were my family and friends on the wedding day, and easily navigated all the different groupings for photos the day of with immense ease. “I can’t say enough about how incredible our experience was with Eric as our wedding photographer. Located at the Jersey Shore, where most photographers focus on sunny beach weddings, I was looking for something different. Our wedding took place in the fall, full of rich earth tones and a fun, edgy vibe that centered not just on romance, but on the presence of our children. It was important to us that the day felt authentic, emotional, and full of movement. And, just to make it more fun, ours was a Halloween wedding. We had a formal ceremony followed by a costume reception, and Eric embraced every bit of it. He didn’t just roll with our unique requests—he elevated them. He found the perfect location: a hidden gem that was edgy, raw, and exactly what I didn’t even know I was hoping for. The backdrop had this cinematic, timeless feel that makes you wonder “where in the world could they be,” which paired beautifully with our nontraditional theme.
