Communication with Rio Hondo by Wedgewood Weddings was always on point, whether by texting, email or phone call. If we sent them a message after hours, they would get back to us the next day. They gave us a lot of flexibility with the event space, allowing us to move things around and add our own personal touches without any problems. The Wedgewood team made sure that we had our special touches and that each guest was enjoying their experience. They also went out of their way to make our bridal party feel special as well. Urban Palms was an absolutely fabulous wedding venue — I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! The space is stunning, and the pricing was very reasonable. They were also incredibly accommodating with our budget, which we truly appreciated. One of the biggest highlights was that the venue includes catering through Critics Choice Catering. Having the catering and tableware handled in-house removed so much stress from the planning process. Kaycie was wonderful to work with — so enthusiastic, organized, and genuinely invested in bringing our vision to life. From our very first tour to the food tasting and final details meeting, she listened carefully to our needs and was always quick to respond to every text or call. Everything turned out picture-perfect, and it was magical seeing the venue completely transformed for our big day. Kaycie also provided excellent vendor recommendations, which saved me so much time since I didn’t have a lot of time to plan. We used her suggested photographer, florist, and bridal party makeup team — and they were all fantastic. I highly recommend doing the day-of coordination with Kaycie and her team. I didn’t have to answer a single question on my wedding day — everything ran seamlessly. The coordinators were amazing, especially when I had a bustle mishap with my dress and they fixed it in seconds! They truly catered to us all evening, greeting us with drinks and appetizers upon arrival and keeping the entire timeline running perfectly. We hosted our cocktail hour in the Palm Court with our photo booth, enjoyed an intimate dinner in the Promenade with a beautiful U-shaped table setup, had our first dances and dance floor on the Lido Deck, and finished with cake cutting and a lounge area on the Sky Deck. It was incredibly romantic and such a unique use of the space. The venue is conveniently located right off the 405 freeway, but the walls are soundproof — you can’t hear any traffic at all. Plus, there’s a huge parking lot, so no valet is needed. Overall, Urban Palms is a beautiful, well-organized, and stress-free venue. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to have a truly magical wedding day!

Bluewater Grill - Redondo Beach

5.0

Redondo Beach, CA
  • Up to 120 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $65

Located on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, Bluewater Grill is the perfect location for your wedding festivities. Our private rooms have beautiful harbor views and we would love to help you plan your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

Let’s start with the venue: Perfect space for 90-105 people. Roughly 9-10 tables of 10 people would occupy the space nicely. Entrance area has a nice space for your foyer table and a Photo Booth. Make sure your photo booth brings their own hotspot just Incase the WiFi is not up to their standards. The location is perfect in Redondo Beach. The actual venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and has a very nice view of the marina. The venue is well lit and the bar is situated nicely where your guest can mingle and have a drink without interrupting the flow of the room. The venue also came with our cake from Torrance bakery which was extremely delicious. The food: The food choices are amazing. Vida sat down with us and helped us cherry pick the meals we wanted to serve. The plates courses were too good to be true and the food was of the best quality and flavor. Highly recommend. The Coordinator: Vida was simply phenomenal at what she did. She made great recommendations and the day of made sure things were executed to my wife and I’s liking. Vida alone is enough to sell this venue for me. I can’t thank her enough. If you’re thinking about this venue for your event or wedding, stop by Vida’s office for a casual meet and greet and find out why this place is the perfect booking.

I loved working with Robin at the Sonesta Hotel. She was an excellent event manager who cared for all our needs and was very accommodating. I had one problem that had nothing to do with Robin or the Sonesta: Someone on the wedding coordinator's staff stole my wallet during the event. We hired Koral, the wedding coordinator, which was our responsibility. Overall, it was a beautiful venue with excellent hotel staff. I would recommend the Sonesta 100%.

Where do I begin?!! The Portofino Hotel & Marina was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! From day one all the way to today, a few days after the wedding, all the staff we encountered has been excellent!! Specifically I want to give a shout out to Sierra, Rain, Luis, Paco, & Mac. Sierra was my main hotel wedding coordinator and contact. She was so responsive, attentive, organized, sweet, available, and amazing!! I couldn’t be happier with her and her services. The entire experience was seamless. We planned an entire wedding in under 2 months together as I was eager to marry my man this year. She was so helpful and explained any and all things when I had questions. Starting with booking the venue all the way to the day after the wedding. Everything was so organized, including the deadlines of decisions I needed to make, and payment info, and what to do if it rained. She had everything covered. THANK YOU THANK YOU SIERRA!! Rain was also another venue coordinator & catering sales manager who helped us too and he was amazing as well. He stepped in when/if Sierra was out of the office and he attended our tasting and answered so many questions as well. He was so nice, sweet and great to work with. Very organized and never missed a beat! Thank you Rain!! Luis, the director of Banquets, handled anything food and drink related and everything was perfect. He even placed two of each hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table (knowing we probably wouldn’t get a chance to eat them during cocktail hour as we were busy mingling) and he was right!! It was such a sweet, simple gesture that made a big impression on us. Paco was one of the Bartenders from the day of (I never got a chance to meet our other bartender) and he was so fun and cheerful and positive and an overall great spirit. Guests kept telling me how much they loved Paco and me too! Mac worked on the hotel side and we met him when we checked in and he handled ALL our luggage and he also golf carted me around on the actual wedding day so I didn’t have to walk too much. He was super sweet and was so helpful and had a great vibe! Also, my initial point of contact was Melanie who responded to my initial venue request. She was so great and helpful and responsive that right away we were sold and we booked the venue the next day without ever even seeing it in person. On top of all the AMAZING staff, the venue is just absolutely beautiful!! You can’t find a prettier ocean front venue in the So Cal. Just gorgeous. We chose a type of all-inclusive wedding package that included a sit down 3-course dinner, open bar, ceremony, hotel room, wedding cake, and many more perks such as white linen, candles on each table, arch on the ceremony grass, champagne toast, etc. It was perfect, efficient, organized and made my life so easy. I really didn’t have to do much except invite guests and show up!! many of my guests told me afterward they were so impressed with the staff, venue and the food!!! Seriously, the food was excellent. I know all of this sounds too good to be true but honestly it was. I had zero problems, no horror stories, nothing. It truly was a PERFECT day and overall experience. I also found out afterward that a coworker of mine got married here too this past summer and she said the same thing. Her day was perfect as well and I am not surprised at all. Thank you to everyone at the Portofino! We cant wait to come back just to enjoy the restaurant, the views and the excellent service :)

I had my daughter's quinceañera reception at the Courtyard Marriott West Los Angeles. We had over 150 guests. My experience with the staff and venue was incredible. I decided on the venue for a variety of reasons. It's a nice space, close to LAX for out of town guests, with ample parking on the westside of Los Angeles. The banquet room has an adjoining patio that makes the space inviting. The hotel has recently undergone some renovation that makes it a more posh experience. Alexandra Cantu, Senior Catering Sales Manager, was exceptional. She is very patient and responsive. Additionally, my guests raved about the food. The banquet room staff was also incredible and responsive to my guests. I would definitely recommend the courtyard Marriott West Los Angeles for your next event.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jennifer Flores and Carina Martinez, the incredible wedding coordinators at Lakewood Country Club, for my wedding on October 11, 2025 and I can truly say it was a dream come true. From the very beginning, Jennifer and Carina were patient, visionary, and incredibly kind. They guided us through every step of the planning process from the tasting to the final details with grace and professionalism. Their attention to detail and calm demeanor made the entire experience stress-free and joyful. The venue itself was everything I had hoped for: romantic, elegant, and perfectly suited to our celebration. The dance floor was electric, the ambiance flawless, and the flow of the evening was seamless. My guests are still raving about the short ribs, my brother even asked for seconds! Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our day special. Their warmth and enthusiasm were contagious, and their dedication ensured that everything ran without a hitch. I wholeheartedly recommend Lakewood Country Club to any couple looking for a top-tier wedding experience. Jennifer, Carina, and the entire team are simply the best. I loved my day, and I’ll cherish the memories forever.

Velaslavasay Panorama

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

The Velaslavasay Panorama is housed in the Union Theatre, a historic neighborhood cinema built in 1910 with a neon marquee, enchanting garden, vintage theatre space and 360-degree painted panorama viewing hall. Set in the historic West Adams District near Downtown LA, a visit to our panorama is complimented by a stroll through the Garden and Grounds reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, featuring lush tropical plantings, a wide variety of succulents, a misting and meditation grotto, and a copper-roofed gazebo for reading and reflection. We are using Zola to promote our site as a rental venue for weddings and private events. To learn more, visit rental[dot]panoramaonview[dot]org and to ask questions or schedule a tour, contact event[at]panoramaonview[dot]org.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.

My husband and I love our wedding venue, The Sanctuary. We were lost when we first started wedding planning because we had no direction. After attending an open house at The Sanctuary, we met Mason who helped us build a package for our big day. We picked out every detail and made our vision come to life. They also connected us to their vendors who were a pleasure to work with. Lastly, the venue itself is beautiful. The cathedral and courtyard were perfect for our photos. The dining hall was just as beautiful and charming. Our guests kept complimenting how elegant everything was. I highly recommend booking this venue.

My family selected Jamaica Bay Inn because it was next to a small beach cove accessible from the Bermuda banquet room. We gathered for a Celebration of Life event and wanted to fly kites in memory of our beloved that passed away. Sayyora the Catering Manager was extremely efficient and flexible with the menu and my special request. Christina and the banquest staff were amazing. Christina had to leave the room to answer another clients questions and made sure another banquet person was in the room until she returned. The food was hot and plentiful. We selected the Buffet Pasta Station (1 with chicken and 1 with shrimp), baby greens salad, delicious fresh fruit. Accomodations were made for my request for a gluten free menu. I was in the hospitality business for 19 years for major hotels as a Catering Manger and Covention Services Manager and my critical eye can be hard to please. But I must say that the attention to detail was above and beyond. I would recommend Jamacia Bay at every opportunity. My family wants to return for a family reunion or just a family luncheon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
