Not to mention, we asked her to minimize using flash as a personal preference and she was so receptive and remembering of that too. Communicating with her was like talking to a friend. “Emily was truly a dream to work with during our engagement session. From brainstorming photo locations to fit with the theme of our wedding, to outfit inspiration, to timing to utilize the best lighting... she was on top of it all. We were blown away by the quality of our photos, both on film and digital. We had such variety of photos to choose from (settings, poses, lighting, angles) etc. One of our biggest insecurities was looking comfortable in front of the camera and not too "posed". “My husband and I had a fantastic experience working with Alan from Love Story Photography for our Safari Park wedding! Soon after sending off our inquiry, we heard from Alan right away who scheduled a FaceTime call with us. Little did we know, he had his lovely wife, Heidi, join the call as well. We immediately felt their warmth and love, and were eager to book them as our wedding photographer and ceremony officiant! We had a great experience working with Alan prior to the wedding, as he was always so kind in answering any logistical and timeline questions we had. Having Alan and Heidi so in tune with each other really helped move the planning process along very well. They are true wedding experts and their guidance was instrumental to us! The morning of my wedding, I was a ball of nerves, I was late to my first look, and to top it all off, as soon as I got my wedding gown on, my maid of honor discovered there was a huge black spider on it, which freaked me out even more! But, before I even had a chance to lay eyes on the creepy spider, Alan was down on the floor, cupping it in his hands and eliminating it from the room. I think that was the moment I finally began to relax and let it sink in that I was in the best hands possible with Alan. I can't say enough great things about his talent and tact. He was organized and had many deadlines to meet to follow our timeline, but was still always kind and amicable to everyone who crossed his path. He delivered beautiful photos that had meaning to us, which had exactly the elements we wanted in terms of details, animals, and family and friend shots. I love the vibrancy and timelessness of the photos he produced. I can't recommend Alan and Heidi enough. You won't regret working with these two awesome and kind people. He provided some portfolios of previous work he had done, which were very photo journalistic, not just the posed shots, and we knew he was the one! He definitely has an eye for placement, reflections, and catching people’s authenticity. He spent the whole wedding day with us, from getting ready all the way till the sparkler exit. I never even saw him take a break. He even ran with us to get some sunset photos at a nearby vineyard while guests were having dinner.
