How late can our event be held?

Events may last until 10pm at our venue with the last guests leaving by 10:15pm. All vendors must be off the property by 11:30pm

Do you have a dance floor?

The View Room has flat ground that is perfect for dancing. 107 can fit in the room comfortably while standing and moving around. For outside events, there is plenty of room to set up a dance floor outdoors at the Vineyard location, for guests up to 200. The ground beneath the tree is decomposed granite, similar to compacted gravel, and is great for dancing. However, it is entirely your choice if you’d like to add a dance floor!

Do you offer in-house catering?

We stick to making delicious wines only! We do have some phenomenal caterers in our area who do a great job at showcasing the amazing produce and products made on the Central Coast. Some caterers we, and our past clients, have enjoyed working with are listed on our Recommended Vendors list. Note: Caterers must be full-service; their staff provide the service labor at your event

What is the alcohol policy?

Like many wineries, our ABC license only permits us to serve our wine at our property. Your caterer may procure alcohol liability insurance and may provide beer to your guests as well. All alcohol served in the event areas must be served by a licensed bartender and/or caterer. We ask that last call occurs at least 30 minutes before the scheduled end of the event. Staffing for beer/sparkling service is not provided by Zaca Mesa but can commonly be sourced through your caterer/bartender. Upon request, ZM will provide service for the wine. Our wine purchase minimum is 1 case (12 bottles) per 20 guests.

Is live music allowed? Do you have any music restrictions?

We love when our clients have live music and we are happy to make recommendations for local musicians. We allow amplified music at our venue until 10pm, 7 days a week. Most DJs and bands provide their own sound equipment and we have power outlets located in various spots around the property for easy set up.

Do you have on-site parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have ample parking space at our winery with approximately 60 spots; no overnight parking is permitted. However, we STRONGLY suggest arranging a shuttle service for your guests. We do not mandate a shuttle service, but highly recommend one for all party sizes. Foxen Canyon Road is very dark at night, so for the safety of your guests we always recommend shuttles. Please see our Recommended Vendors list for recommendations.

Where do most people have their ceremonies?

We have three main areas that many couples have used for ceremonies, all of which are surrounded by our gorgeous vineyards. You may choose to hold your ceremony under the pergola on the Vineyard Lawn, even in front of the Grenache Blanc vines, framed by the San Rafael Mountains.

Where can the reception be held?

Receptions can be held on the Vineyard or inside our View Room. The Vineyard space can seat around 185 - 200 guests. The View Room, formerly our barrel room, is a newly renovated, intimate space for receptions that seats up to 105 guests. For party sizes bigger than 107 during late fall and winter, a tent can be rented to expand our View Room capacity and can help maintain temperature control.

Do we have access to the site for a rehearsal ?

Yes, a one-hour rehearsal is included in the venue fee. This can be scheduled with the Events Manager during normal business hours, unless you would like to rent the space after hours for a rehearsal dinner as well.

Do you have any wine purchase minimums?

Accepted Answer

Our wine purchase minimums are based on the type of rental - full facility rental (Estate Package) or hourly space rental (all other packages) - that you are contracting. For the Estate package, the minimum is 1 case (12 bottles) per 20 guests. For a hourly specific-space rental, the minimum is 1 case per 25 guests. Price example: for a case of Viognier ($25 per bottle) would be $300 plus tax.

Do you have areas for the wedding party to get ready prior to the event?

With the Estate booking - The View Room can be your staging area pre-ceremony to keep the wedding party tucked away from guests as they arrive to the winery. This space is open for the wedding party to use two hours prior to your ceremony start time (usually 4pm) while our tasting room still operates. Attached to the View Room is our Club Lounge, which is available to you at 4pm. Note: this space is best for touch ups rather than getting ready head to toe. Your set up crew may start setting up the View Room at the same time.

Are we limited to using only your preferred vendors?

You are not! We do not require you to choose from the small set of vendors we suggest to you. We find that keeping an open vendor policy lets you better craft and personalize your event with a vendor who best knows your needs. For caterers and planners we have not worked with before, we do have a preliminary requirements they need to meet to ensure expectations are understood well in advance of your event.

Do you have accessible facilities?

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

How many hours are included in our booking?

Your reservation includes five hours from ceremony start to reception finish, NOT including the time it takes staff to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at $100 per hour.

Do we need to get insurance?

Yes, special liability insurance from the couple. COI/liquor liability from the caterer/bartender.
