It is designed for intimacy, warmth, and, as the name suggests, the best views of the Susquehanna River. The River Room serves as the primary parlor of the mansion. Because it faces west, it is legendary for its sunset views. As the sun dips below the horizon across the river, the entire room is filled with a golden glow—making it the prime spot for wedding photography.

The Formal Garden at Overlook (The Civic Club of Harrisburg) is a lush, half-acre private sanctuary that serves as one of Harrisburg’s most popular outdoor wedding ceremony sites. The Grand Ballroom is the crown jewel of the Flemming Mansion at the Civic Club of Harrisburg. Originally designed as six bedrooms in the early 20th century, the space was dramatically renovated in 1916 to create the open, two-story hall seen today. Located on the second floor, this space features 25-foot ceilings, three elegant chandeliers, and a 300-square-foot stage perfect for head tables or live entertainment.
