About this venue
Tucked away on a hundred-acre stretch of land, one mile outside Elkin city limits, Klondike Cabins offers a secluded escape. Original wood beams and early American antiques welcome guests to experience life a little simpler. Surrounded by 60-acres of vineyards, a 2-acre fishing pond, and a walking trail winding alongside the Grassy Creek, days can be filled with discovering what the Appalachian nature has to offer, or cozied up with a book or game of chess next to a roaring fire in the original 1920’s hearths.

Our spacious dining room, complete with a catering kitchen is the ideal setting for intimate gatherings, from rehearsal dinners to small celebrations.
This versatile space features four large round wooden tables with lazy susans, seating 10 guests each. With easy outdoor access, it’s perfect for seamless indoor/outdoor events. A fully equipped kitchen, located right next to the dining room, is available for you or your caterer to make hosting simple and stress-free.

The Lodge at Klondike Cabins is located in the heart of the Yadkin Valley Wine Region. This authentic log cottage is filled with early American antiques, historic artwork, decoys, and trophies. The cabin features 2 bedrooms with 2 queen-sized beds, with adjoining living room suites that can accommodate 4 more guests, and 2 full baths. The cabin features a large lounge area, dining tables fireplace, a kitchenette, and views overlooking the lake and adjoins Grassy Creek Vineyard and Winery.

The Hanes Cabin
The Hanes Cottage at Klondike Cabins is tucked away between The Main Cabin and the lake. This two-suite authentic log cottage is filled with early American antiques, historic artwork, decoys, and trophies. The cottage features 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds in each, 2 full private baths, and private entrances. The cabin features a large private sitting area with a sofa, chairs, TVs, fireplaces, a shared kitchenette, and views overlooking the lake and adjoins Grassy Creek Vineyard and Winery.
The Jackson Cottage

The Jackson Cottage at Klondike Cabins is nestled down a boxwood path between The Lodge Cabin and Grassy Creek Vineyard. This Cottage is split into 2 bookable suites– Jackson Jr, and Jackson Suite. This authentic log cottage is filled with antiques, historic artwork, and trophies. The cottage features two bedrooms with one queen-sized bed, one full-sized bed, two full private baths, and private entrances.

September 24, 2022 BEST DAY EVER
My husband and I chose to have our wedding reception at the beautiful Klondike Cabins for many obvious reasons. The cabins are nestled in the beautiful Yadkin Valley and are tastefully decorated to represent the home town we are both proud of. The cabins themselves are beautiful, unique, and each individual to their own. The grounds are landscaped beautifully and boast a picturesque pond, tall trees, and a local vineyard. We had plenty of space to set up a reception tent to host 200 guests and several vendors. We ended our lovely wedding night with plenty of space for ourselves and the wedding party to enjoy an overnight stay in the cabins. Klondike Cabins were responsive, welcoming, and available to answer any and all questions we had. The Klondike Cabins are homey and were truly the best reception venue we could have chosen. We cannot wait to return to the cabins for an anniversary celebration in the future!

Communication with Danna was incredible from start to finish. She always responded quickly, answered all of our questions, and was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. The space itself is stunning—the wooded area with the lake backdrop was the perfect setting for our ceremony. One of the things that made our experience extra special was having our wedding party stay in the cabins for the entire weekend. Everything was set up and ready for our guests, and we were able to use all the kitchenware and amenities, which made hosting so easy. Having access to the entire property truly set Klondike Cabins apart, especially since so many venues don’t offer that—let alone at such a great price. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to celebrate at Klondike Cabins. The beauty of the grounds combined with the time spent surrounded by our closest friends and family made it all unforgettable.

I rented out the cabins for all of my out-of-town guests, and I also rented the dining room for my rehearsal dinner. My family absolutely LOVED the amenities at Klondike Cabins—the cozy rooms, the trails, the views, the location, and the overall peaceful retreat feel. The kitchen adjacent to the dining room had everything my aunts needed to prepare appetizers, and there was plenty of space for our caterers to handle the dinner service as well. Communication with the owners was excellent throughout the planning process, and the groundskeeper was incredibly helpful when one of our guests accidentally locked themselves out at midnight!! I 100% recommend Klondike Cabins, thank you so much!
