Hello! My name is Rachel Anderson, the creator behind Emerald Events LA. I'm an experienced event planner with certifcations from internationally recognized QC Event School. With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality & wedding industry, I am confident I can create any vision you have for your next event.
My passion has been hospitality for over 15 years. 4 years ago I decided to to branch out and show clients what Emerald Events LA is capable of with their events. Whatever vision you have, big or small, I’m dedicated to making your idea come to life, in a way guests will never forget.

Rachel is a superhero
How do I even begin to convey how amazing Rachel is?! I was originally on a pretty tight budget and wasn't sure if a wedding planner was something that I wanted to add to it. But I'm so glad that I booked Rachel. I booked her as a day-of coordinator a year out from my wedding so besides a few broad details like theme and colors, we didn't really start working together until 3-ish months out. Rachel came to our tasting, saw the venue, discussed my vison, and reassured me that if there was any family drama or nonsense day-of she'd be squashing it realll quick. She is a MACHINE. The night before, and day-of, Rachel was ON IT. She made sure to check in and see how I was doing emotionally, reassured me when I had concerns or last minute requests, and just made my wedding run more smoothly than I could have hoped for. I did my own florals and Rachel arranged them beautifully throughout our venue, moving them when we went from ceremony to reception, and making sure that my venue matched my vision. She corralled our guests throughout the night, making sure that we were following the timeline we'd created and that all I had to do was just enjoy my night. I can not say enough good things about Rachel. If you want someone who is no-nonsensem, will run your wedding like a military drill, and make sure no one messes with your day, she's your gal. Thank you a million times over, Rachel, I couldn't have done it without you!

I cannot recommend Emerald Events enough! My husband and I got married back in May and though I planned most of the wedding myself we decided a day of coordinator was the best way to go! With our ceremony at a church and reception at our house (and 234 guests) there were a ton of moving parts to keep track of... We hired Emerald Events about a month and a half before our wedding and Rachel stepped in and immediately/seamlessly got to work bringing all the pieces of the puzzle together! She contacted all of the vendors, helped coordinate timelines, set up and take down and any other details that made the day go off without a hitch! At one point at the end of the night I saw her washing dishes in my kitchen and putting away desserts , etc! God bless her! Her assistants were wonderful as well and my guests even commented on how kind/ wonderful they all were! If you're wondering if a day of coordinator is worth it .. the answer is YES! With great pricing and an amazing staff, Emerald Events is definitely the way to go! They truly made the day so special and we can't thank them enough!
Made Our Day Special
I am so happy I found Emerald Events. Rachel is an absolutely exceptional wedding coordinator. She was warm, empathetic, organized, and personable. She made every detail perfect for my special day and went above and beyond to make everything how I envisioned it. I couldn’t have planned my wedding without her. During the stressful period of planning, Rachel kept me grounded and calm with her attention to detail, organization and prompt communication. She was a huge part of why my wedding was the best day of my life. I would highly recommended her.
Santa Barbara Stunnin'
My husband and I had a completely different vision and our date was originally scheduled for May 2026 in Orange County but due to unfortunate circumstances we decided to pull in our date to Monday, November 3, 2025 to Santa Barbara. We made our change of plans late August and I found Rachel (Emerald Events LA) through Zola. After our phone consultation and explaining our situation to her, we decided to move forward with her because of her excellent communication and willingness to tackle our day with 2 months to plan. We had our ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse in the Mural Room and our reception was at Arnoldi's Cafe. From the start, expectations were laid flat and communication was consistent and clear. Anytime I had a question, needed feedback / sounding board, or someone to vent to, Rachel was my wedding bestie. She made herself available, is an excellent buffer and facilitator, and she was highly professional and personable. Emerald Events LA went above and beyond - not only did she make this accelerated planning feel enjoyable, she also provided excellent wedding cake / dessert and florist recommendations. We appreciate her attention to detail and her ability to adapt to the hiccups of the day. She has an emergency bag filled with treasure troves to ensure we had what we needed for getting ready, securing items, whatever else we needed for the day, etc. Rachel developed a timeline that worked well for our vendors, facilitated and worked out the kinks in our rehearsal for an excellent ceremony execution. She ensured our reception (restaurant space) was set up and managed the vendors who joined us for dinner. We are extremely grateful for Emerald Events LA / Rachel and we couldn't be happier!
