Hi, I'm Lilian Argueta, a proud Guatemalan American, native Angelina, and the heart behind L+A Union Ceremonies. I’ve always believed in the power of human connection and the importance of honoring it with authenticity, care, and soul. I’ve been a certified officiant since 2017, and my path to this work has been anything but traditional—in the best way. L+A stands for Luz y Amor, light and love in Spanish. It’s more than a name; it’s a belief system. I believe we are all energy, all light…and when two people come together in love, something truly magical happens. That magic deserves to be witnessed and celebrated with intention & creativity.

I am thrilled to highly recommend the exceptional wedding officiant, Lilian Argueta, who made my daughter's destination wedding in Cancun in April 2024 an unforgettable and magical experience. From the moment we engaged her services, it was clear that she was dedicated to creating a personalized and meaningful ceremony that truly reflected the love story of the bride and groom. Her thorough preparation was evident in the pre-event meetings where she took the time to get to know the couple, understand their relationship, and gather details that would make the ceremony truly special. Her attention to detail and genuine interest in their story shone through in every aspect of the ceremony. During the ceremony, her excellent presentation skills, heartfelt words, and warm demeanor captivated everyone present, perfectly capturing the love and magic between the bride and groom. The way she tailored the ceremony to include a lightning round of chess at the end of the vows, symbolizing how the couple met, was a brilliant and iconic touch that truly made the ceremony unique and personalized. I cannot recommend her enough for any couple looking for a wedding officiant who goes above and beyond to create a ceremony that is heartfelt, meaningful, and memorable. Her professionalism, creativity, and genuine care for her clients make her an outstanding choice for any couple looking to start their journey together in a truly special way.

  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

Born in Australia, lived in Scotland, I've now been in the US for 10 years, I presided over my first wedding in 2016. Being asked by two of my oldest friends changed my life forever. But I was crazy nervous. That first ceremony elicited something inside of me I never expected. I LOVED, love! I had a feeling of pride and community I'd never experienced before. More and more friends asked me to officiate their weddings over the years until I finally said "frick it, maybe this is my thing." Becoming an officiant has been one of the most rewarding things I've done, experiencing your marriage ceremony with you is now something I look forward to.

Ceremonies by Robbie
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $800
  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

Robbie works with couples to create wedding ceremonies that feel personal, grounded, and true to who they are. As an ordained, non-denominational minister with decades of experience, his approach is rooted in ministry, pastoral counseling, and working closely with people through meaningful life moments. He takes the time to get to know each couple so the ceremony reflects their relationship, not something templated or generic. From structure and flow to vows, he guides the entire process so everything feels clear, natural, and meaningful. Premarital support is available if desired, but never required.

Robbie has a gift. He created a ceremony that felt deeply personal, emotional, and joyful all at once. He took the time to ask thoughtful questions and really understand our relationship. The way he told our story during the ceremony had everyone laughing and tearing up at the same time. We could not have imagined a better officiant.

Weddings By Roxanne Hunt
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Offers 9 ceremony types
  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

I am passionate about officiating creative, soulful ceremonies about you and your relationship that also include a touch of fun. No template weddings here! I believe your ceremony should be about you - personal to your style and your story.

Initially, I wanted a friend to officiate our wedding, but my mom is very traditional and really pushed for a professional — and I am SO glad she did because Roxanne curated the most special ceremony I could have ever imagined. I come from a Christian background, and my husband comes from a Jewish background, and neither of us wanted a religious ceremony — but it was important to us to honor both of our families and backgrounds. Roxanne did that so seamlessly and beautifully. She created a ceremony that felt thoughtful, inclusive, and deeply personal without ever feeling religious or performative. She met with us in person, truly took the time to get to know us, and guided us through writing our vows. So many people told us afterward that our vows were some of the best they had ever heard at a wedding — and we owe that entirely to Roxanne’s care and guidance!! I never really dreamed of having a wedding but always wanted a party but we wanted to do a ceremony for the tradition of it and for our parents - but it ended up being my favorite part of the entire day!! Roxanne officiated a ceremony that felt intimate, emotional, and joyful all at once. She is an absolute pro in every sense of the word - she looked beautiful, knew exactly when to step out of frame for photos, and had an incredible instinct for when to bring laughter, when to bring tears, and how to make us feel completely comfortable and present in such a big moment. She grounded us, supported us, and made the ceremony feel effortless. There is truly no one who could have done a better job. I am forever grateful that Roxanne was the one who married us, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

What I love about being an officiant is getting to know my couples. What their hopes and dreams are as individuals and as a couple. What they like about each other, what their favorite things they like to do together, and what makes them a couple. Putting all those things together in a memorable wedding ceremony is my passion. My ceremonies are always as individual as my couples. Every relationship is special and unique and I enjoy creating and sharing how you both got to this day, this moment. Your Story. The Best Love Story. Ever.

Working with Renne was just lovely. From our first meeting, she was so warm, down to earth and easy to talk to. She immediately had us feeling at ease with her genuine care. Our wedding ceremony was a perfect story of us and our love story. She managed to capture the uniqueness and beauty of our relationship and our loved ones were in tears. It set the stage for such a meaningful celebration. She printed out our ceremony and vows and we keep them in our wedding box. We open it every year and read it together as a way of reflecting on our love and remembering our values and promises we made to each other. We are so grateful for the way Renne made our wedding ceremony perfect for us and how she is still a fixture in our story a little each year.

We loved how he personalized our ceremony, and he did an amazing job letting our guests really feel connected to our love story. Lawrence E. Adjah, MBA, M.Ed, M.Div.
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Offers 8 ceremony types
  • Starts at $2,250
  • Serves Thousand Oaks, CA

Lawrence E. Adjah, MBA, M.Ed, M.Div. is a pastor, marriage counselor and best-selling author on relationships. Lawrence specializes in marriage counseling and one-on-one spiritual advisory. He approaches his guidance in a biblically based, structured, relatable, and systematic manner, with clear owned outcomes and next steps. Lawrence will guide you through the wedding planning process with warmth, intentionality and clarity. Lawrence offers a wide array of services to guide you through your wedding and beyond. He provides both wedding officiating services and vow renewals, as well as pre-marital counseling and ongoing marriage counseling.

My husband and I worked with Pastor Lawrence for a year of faith-based pre-marital counseling and had an amazing experience. We, like many couples, went into our first session thinking we’d already discussed the most important topics and we’d maybe need to do 3 formal pre-marital counseling sessions. Our first session was so impactful that we immediately decided that we wanted a full year of counseling. That decision, we believe, completely changed the trajectory of our marriage. Pastor Lawrence asked difficult, thought-provoking questions that helped us see our relationship (with each other and with God) in new ways, and each session left us feeling better equipped for marriage than we ever expected. His depth of knowledge, approachability, and ability to guide meaningful, relevant conversations aimed at aligning us as one—even when we thought we had nothing new to discuss—was truly a gift. We are so grateful for the wisdom and encouragement he poured into us throughout this process and would highly recommend him to any couple who is looking to build a strong, Christ-centered foundation going into their marriage.

Your ceremony doesn't have to be "cookie cutter" or "run of the mill." I work with all my couples to present a ceremony that truly reflects your relationship. My goal is to ensure that you and your guests experience a meaningful and entertaining wedding ceremony to start your special day.

Pamela did an amazing job creating a meaningful ceremony for us on a short-time frame, was incredibly communicative, and altogether a wonderful officiant! She was very gracious with how scattered some of the planning went and made us both feel so comfortable, which meant the world as a young queer couple. Her presentation of the ceremony truly felt like it reflected us as a couple, and our family members who were in attendance were amazed that she had crafted a ceremony that felt so perfect to us just from talking on the phone with us a couple of times. Absolutely would recommend:)
