Certified makeup artist Melanie Penera’s love for makeup started young when she was introduced to stage makeup at the Visual Performing Art academy located in the suburbs of Chicago. Her love of makeup soon grew into a passion that helped push her through schooling at The New Age Spa Institute to successfully earning her graduate certifications in makeup artistry, eyelash extensions and airbrush tanning. I had the BEST experience with Melanie! Not only did she do my makeup, but she also completed makeup for 8 other people—and somehow still finished early while doing a truly stellar job on everyone. She was incredibly sweet, quick, and efficient, while still paying close attention to what I wanted. She really listened and tailored everything to my needs, which made me feel so comfortable and confident. The final look was flawless and lasted perfectly. I felt amazing, and everyone looked incredible. She even helped calm my nerves. Would 100% book again! I couldn’t recommend her more!

Melanie was great to work with. She did the makeup for my wedding along with my daughter and daughter-in-law. We all loved our makeup the pictures look fabulous from the day! She communicated very well, traveled to my house on the day of my wedding and was so much fun! She helped make the day so special and I highly recommend her.

I hired Melanie to do the makeup for my wedding. She did an amazing job for me and a couple of my family members. She listened to what we wanted and delivered to perfection. She was great to communicate with and made the day a lot of fun! I would highly recommend her!
