Hey there! ☺️ My name is Kaitlyn Cother - Professional Hair & Makeup Artist & owner of Becoming Beauty. SATX📍Based Artist - Destination HMU Artist ✈️ I'm a Mama to 3, Wifey for 10 years and a small business owner for 8 years. I was born and raised in New Braunfels, Tx but currently reside and operate in San Antonio, Tx. As I've grown I've learned so much and realized how much my passion for enhancing one's natural beauty was truly growing. After 6 years I officially made the decision to grow my business by adding on a team of 5!

What I believe sets myself as an artist and as a beauty team apart from some others would be: • Communication • Down to earth, authentic • Touch up kits • I build your timeline for you and have you and your coordinator review it so everyone is on the same page • I really take my time with your trial especially and on the wedding day for skin prep and detailed to you makeup and hair • skin prep • always willing to listen to your vision, any changes or concerns and take action accordingly.

Yes we do have a travel fee. For out of town weddings, more than 2 hours one way from my home based studio in Converse Tx, a hotel room must be provided at the same site as the event. If a flight is needed, you must pay for all flight expenses. Starting Travel Fee is $50. Additional fees may apply if the mileage increases beyond 50 miles round trip from my home based studio located in Converse, Tx. .95 cents per mile round trip per Artist needed.

Yes! I have a team of 5 experienced hair and makeup artists to accompany me for larger bridal parties or short timelines.

No, trials are not mandatory. Trials give us an opportunity to meet before your big day to ensure we are a good fit for both style and our personalities. An opportunity to review your skins current condition. A great skincare regimen is crucial to how your makeup will look and the longevity of it. For you, it gives the opportunity to envision everything on before the big day and to make any adjustments as needed. Overall, for a bride, trials are a must in my professional opinion. I don't make them mandatory, but I do like to make sure you know all of the benefits 🤍 Plus, you get a $50 discount by bundling your trial and day of services.

I am based out of Converse, Tx which is 5 minutes away from officially being San Antonio, TX. I absolutely travel! Both my team and I do! I travel anywhere in a 2 hour one way radius to my studio in Converse. I do also travel outside of the 2 hour window, out of State and Internationally. I will go over those details in another FAQ 🤍

I absolutely LOVE to have the opportunity for destination weddings! I am based out of San Antonio, Tx but am a traveling/destination Hair and Makeup Artist. - For out of town weddings, a hotel room must be provided at the same or near by site as the event. MOH makeup - 10/10!
Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing! She did my makeup as I was the MOH for my best friend’s wedding. She listened to my concerns and took my worries into consideration. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative. She was open to being creative with the colors that I wanted and she loved being able to be in the bold colors/tones as well. Kaitlyn also provided me with the names of products/brands to utilize for every day use and showed me some techniques. Truly extremely sweet and made me feel even more beautiful and enhanced my features. It was very important for me that these were taken into consideration as I am a Black woman with darker skin tone, and she delivered perfectly. My make up lasted all night (through all the MOH duties and dancing) and I received manyyy compliments on it. Would absolutely recommend her for any events you may have. I surely will be booking her the next time I need my makeup professionally done! :)

My wedding day was a little untraditional, we had a private sunrise first look & vow exchange in the mountains of WA which meant I needed hair & makeup done EARLY, Kaitlyn had no complaints when we made our timeline for the day even tho she had to be at my Airbnb at 1AM... In the evening we had a 25 guest count ceremony and reception, Kaitlyn did my mother's makeup & my mother in laws makeup and hair. They were both very very in love with the jobs she did. She did a fresh face and hair touch ups for my evening celebration and did an amazing job again! She was very professional and I would recommend booking her for your makeup and hair needs!
