Motown Throwdown is a powerhouse soul band steeped in the traditions of soul, funk, pop, rock, R&B, and jazz. The 5-piece funk machine consists of siren Aisha Kenyetta, sax-man and vocalist Mike Quinn, guitarist Dave Grimm, Stuart White on drums and the inimitable Corey Stephens on bass. With roots in the soul tradition of Motown, the Throwdown often defies genres or category, exploding into improvisation. Starting with the 5 piece, you can build a band of up to 15+ pieces, customizable to any event or budget.

Funk Factory 5 is a high energy five-piece band originating out of Atlanta, GA. Founded by lead guitarist and music instructor, Tico Manley, the band has been playing all styles of music - from rock and r&b to jazz, the blues, golden oldies, country, and much more.

Rotie Salley is one of the most incredible solo artists performing in the Lowcountry today. With an impressive song list, his sound and vocals are solid. Rotie performs such a wide variety of cover songs that everyone at your event is guaranteed to enjoy his music. Rotie has been performing in the Charleston area for 15 years and is absolutely of our favorite solo guitarist and vocalists.

Zoe has been studying the violin for over 20 years. Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from the College of Charleston where she studied under Charleston Symphony Concertmaster, Yuriy Bekker. She then continued her education in Arizona, receiving a Masters of Music Degree in Violin from Northern Arizona University. Zoe was recipient of the Gates-Taylor Award by the NAU School of Music and received the Mary Stewart Allen Award for Violin and Most Outstanding Music Award by the CofC School of the Arts.

Kaila is a Canadian singer, song writer and musician. Her style is best described as a mixed blend between “70’s disco soul and rock edge.” Her music seeks to find that perfect balance of harmonies between the fusion of old school dance (Disco, Funk, Pop, Rock) and new school music (Electro, EDM, Dance). What separates her from the rest of the pretty girls that can sing is her musical studies: Kaila studied classical and jazz theory with an emphasis on Vocal Techniques, Music Business and Live Sound Set-up.

While I specialize in classical and spanish/latin guitar, I have an extensive repertoire of pop (Marry Me, etc), jazz (Fly Me to the Moon), classic rock (Beatles), and oldies (My Girl, Stand by Me). If it’s not on my song list - I’m always happy to learn new music upon special request! I also play more upbeat music for cocktail hours and even sing if that's what you want for cocktail hour or reception. I have extensive experience and expertise with wedding ceremonies in the low country.

With 35+ years experience in music, as a sound engineer and as a musician, I still find that music moves the spirit!
