At The Vault, we believe the best wedding moments happen in the in-between—the welcome drinks, the laughter-filled dinners, the quiet morning coffees, and the heartfelt goodbyes. Our boutique venue was designed to hold it all. Set inside a restored historic bank in downtown Traverse City, The Vault offers an intimate event space paired with on-site accommodations featuring three king bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bath. It’s the perfect setting for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, getting-ready mornings, farewell brunches, and small private events. The Vault offers premium experiences such as hosting an unforgettable sunset cruise or welcome excursion aboard our private yacht. Couples love the ease of hosting everything in one place, the warmth of the space, and the way The Vault feels more like a private gathering home than a traditional venue. If you're dreaming of a wedding weekend that feels relaxed, meaningful, and uniquely yours, we’d love to welcome you.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Offers convenient lodging options
  • Has an intimate feel for a small guest list

Venue considerations

  • Can not accomodate large big events
  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • No in-house catering options
We hosted our company holiday party at The Vault and it was absolutely perfect. The space was beautifully set up with high-top tables, cozy lounge areas, and plenty of room to mingle and dance. The bartending service was seamless, and the trayed hors d'oeuvres kept flowing all night. Everything felt effortless because Miranda and Michael handled every detail — from restocking drinks to keeping the space tidy and the music just right. Our team couldn’t stop talking about how fun, relaxed, and elevated the entire evening felt. We can’t wait to host another event here!

I cannot even express how lucky we were to call Timberlee Hills our wedding venue. Jessie and her team ran a flawless operation, and she made the whole planning process as stress-free as possible. Communication was speedy and very polite, and Jessie was happy to answer all my hundreds of questions (thanks girl, I appreciate you 3). The venue is truly a dream. The ceremony overlooking a valley of trees feels like something out of a fairytale, and the interior is so beautifully designed. While we didn't need to use it ourselves, I was also impressed that the covered ceremony option in the event of rain was just out on their covered patio, which would have still provided a beautiful outlook of the trees if we needed to have it there. The day of our wedding was blissfully stress free, thanks to the hard work of Madison and Jessie. Madison did an excellent job helping us get everything arranged and decorated, the timing for our ceremony was perfect, and our guests were very well taken care of. We received several compliments on both the venue and the friendly staff. The bar team also did an amazing job! Both myself and my husband were topped off on any drinks we wanted without even having to leave our sweetheart table. I could ramble on for much longer about how wonderful this place is, but I will wrap it up here and just say that if you're thinking of having your wedding here, do it. It's beautiful, everyone went above and beyond, and we'll remember it fondly for the rest of our lives.

Long but honest review! - Overall, we had a good experience with the Peninsula Room and the actual wedding was amazing. However there were some portions of the planning process that left a bad taste in our mouth. - There was no mention at our visit that the contract was going to change. We were told everything would be online so we went by their information. When the contract was changed and the price was increased 5,000, the original price was eventually honored after some back and forth emailing. - My credit card was charged after I specifically checked don’t on the contract. It was refunded but that was a costly mistake. - Even after saying they were in the process of changing their contract online (email of 9/25/24), the contract posted online was still not changed on their website as of 10/16/24. It has since been changed but the discrepancy left us uneasy, especially when we were repeatedly told information was all found online. - Food minimum price was changed when checked on 2/16/25. Now 15,000 (not including venue price) - At the in person tasting, we had good interactions with higher management. However, previous to that Barb was rude with our wedding coordinator on the phone and we also felt that we were a bother when trying to get information or answers for our questions. However once we started working with Madi, the event manager, we had a more pleasant experience. - The actual wedding day was beautiful and went so smooth! The staff working the event were amazing, very accommodating, helpful, and made for a wonderful day! - The food was delicious and we appreciated how they made a separate plate of appetizers for the bride and groom. - The server Andrew was amazing! He was at our tasting and the wedding. He made sure we had everything we wanted/needed. The Peninsula Room is a beautiful venue with delicious food overall; this just was just an honest explanation of our experience.

Wow, is the only word that comes to mind from our wedding day. Besides the fact that the “Hill Top” ceremony/reception site and the property itself, was everything we could have wanted and envisioned for our big day, Rose Gallagher was everything and made our whole experience even more memorable. We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and more on how fantastic Rose and the staff were. Weddings are a big deal, and we cannot thank everyone at the Gallagher property for helping making our day perfect! Highly recommend tying the knot here, you won’t regret a single thing.
