Our wedding at Winchester Estate on January 2, 2026 was an absolute dream and truly a perfect day. Everything went so smoothly from start to finish, which allowed us to fully enjoy every moment without stress. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, pictures don’t even do it justice. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting how beautiful the estate was, and the food was excellent, exceeding all expectations. I honestly could not have planned a better day or a more seamlessly organized event. Wedgewood made the entire planning process so easy and stress-free. Our coordinator, and the entire day-of staff were wonderful, professional, kind, attentive, and truly on top of everything. I couldn’t have imagined a better wedding day, and I’m so grateful to the Winchester Estate and Wedgewood team for making it so perfect. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a beautiful venue and an effortless planning experience.

Bendiciones

Harmony Ridge Lodge was the perfect choice for our wedding venue. From the moment we first reached out, the team was quick to respond and incredibly friendly. Faith, our day-of coordinator, was a lifesaver. She managed our vendors, pushed us to get certain vendors when needed, and kept us calm and stress-free on our big day. The venue itself is gorgeous, nestled in a beautiful forest setting. The rooms were amazing, with plush bedding and extra pillows and blankets if needed. And the food was outstanding. The chef prepared a delicious breakfast each morning, like a sweet potato sausage hash, eggs, and pancakes, and made sure everyone got a chance to eat before it ended. Most of all, it had all of the forest vibes I wanted. While other wedding venues felt more artificial with its nature, this venue had its gorgeous trees, its rustic rooms, and it was located in a quiet, lovely town. Though it was far away for our guests to travel, it was a very gorgeous scenic drive as well. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Harmony Ridge Lodge!

The outdoor patio creates the most intimate ceremony setting, surrounded by old stone ivy walls. Plus, it has a cave!! It’s perfect for cocktail hour or slipping away for an iconic photoshoot you’ll treasure forever. When the reception winds down, you and your forever person can retreat upstairs to the honeymoon suite… or keep the celebration going in downtown Nevada City just steps away. As a wedding planner, this is truly one of my favorite venues to support couples in. It’s intimate, unique, and full of character.

At the heart of the property stands a beautiful white barn —over 7,500 square feet of elegant, open space perfect for hosting up to 250 guests. Whether you envision an intimate ceremony beneath our enchanting Oak tree or on our ceremony stage framed by the sweeping farmlands of Northern California, every setting here is picture-perfect.

  • Romantic vineyard setting
  • Space for a large guest list
  • Private area for the wedding party

Venue considerations

  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • On-site parking not available
  • Does not have a dance floor
As wedding photographers, my husband and I have worked at just about every venue in the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills area—so when it came time to plan our own wedding, we didn’t even have to think twice. River Highlands Ranch was the one. The venue is seriously stunning. The barn has an elegant, elevated feel, but it’s still totally relaxed and surrounded by vineyards, gardens, rolling hills, and open space that just makes you breathe easier. We had a small wedding and did our ceremony under the oak tree, and it was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous. There were SO many great spots for photos- the garden, vineyards, orchard, stream, pond, rolling hills, and of course the barn with it's huge green doors and beautiful vines surrounding the doorways. One of the biggest perks was how much was already included. Beautiful farm tables, lounge furniture, cocktail tables, draping, lighting—it all looked amazing and saved us so much money (and stress). We also loved that we could bring our own alcohol. The staff were also awesome. Everyone was kind, helpful, and made sure things ran smoothly so we could actually enjoy the day. Our guests loved the space—and even in the middle of summer, the fire pit was a hit. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s beautiful, easy, and has everything you need without a ton of extra work, I can’t recommend River Highlands Ranch enough.
