“We loved every moment of wedding planning with Julie Ann at NYCC. She was the first coordinator we spoke to and we knew she was fantastic right away. We visited several other venues to be sure, and they just didn’t measure up to NYCC’s hospitality and attention to detail. Julie Ann kept us updated throughout our year and a half engagement, even through many Covid changes. NYCC always reassured us that they would be up to date with safety policies and procedures, and they most certainly were. The wedding day was absolutely spectacular. Julie Ann and my bridal attendant Lori did not let me worry about a single thing. The vendors got all set up and ready to go and I didn’t even realize! I just got to enjoy my day thanks to the ease and efficiency of NYCC. My guests cannot stop telling me how delicious the food was, and how much food there was! We didn’t even include any add-ons to our menu because there is so much food already (although we really toyed with the sushi station and the ice sculpture add ons!) My husband and I enjoyed all of the cocktail hour food intimately in our bridal suite on a beautiful charcuterie tray. How lovely to have a private moment right after the ceremony! We also got to keep our things in the locked bridal suite the night before the wedding, and could have left things until the next morning if we had chosen. It was so great to have that private, safe space, and to be able to give the key code to select members of family and bridal party. I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful Julie Ann was in helping us coordinate the best day of our lives. There isn’t a single thing I would have changed! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!”

After moving to Beacon, NY around the same time, it made sense to start an official wedding music business to share their love of music with some of the many happy couples getting married in the Hudson Valley. One thing they love about playing music for weddings is the variety that is required of them. Every gig is different and they all happen on one of the happiest days of the clients' lives!

“If you are currently wedding planning and debating between the elegance of live musicians or the versatility of a DJ, stop looking and hire Justin and Skylark Music immediately. Working with Justin was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our big day. With Skylark, we effectively "had our cake and ate it too." We were initially torn because we wanted the romantic atmosphere of live instruments, but we also wanted a high-energy party with our specific favorite songs (which a band is often limited by). Plus, full bands are insanely expensive. Justin offered the perfect hybrid solution. We were able to have a stunning guitar, violin, and cello trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then transition to Justin DJing the reception. It was the best of both worlds—we saved on the cost of a 10-piece band but sacrificed absolutely nothing in terms of quality or vibe. Beyond the music itself, Justin’s professionalism is unmatched. He walked us through every step of the planning process. But the true test of a vendor is how they handle stress. A couple of months before our wedding, our venue suddenly updated their outdoor music guidelines. We were in a total panic, thinking our ceremony plans were ruined. We let Justin know, and he responded immediately with a calm, "can-do" attitude. He adjusted the instrumentation to meet the new rules quickly and sorted it out without us having to lift a finger. He also went above and beyond to personalize the evening. We have a close friend who is a singer, and we wanted her to perform a couple of songs during the reception. Justin didn't hesitate; he coordinated directly with her to ensure the audio levels were perfect and the logistics were seamless. It ended up being such a special moment, and Justin made it happen effortlessly. And then, there was the party. Justin transitioned to MC/DJ duties and read the crowd perfectly. Because we chose the DJ route for the reception, we got to hear the original versions of all our favorite tracks. The dance floor was absolutely wild all night long. The energy was so high that at one point, while we were taking portraits outside, our photographer actually stopped and told us, “There is literally a rave going on inside.” From the elegant strings and the special guest performance to the absolute rager at the end, Justin executed everything perfectly. ““How did you FIND this place?!” We heard this from our guests all night long. It felt like we’d discovered a secret garden, and everyone was desperate to know the story behind it. We got married at Black Walnut Farm in the fall of 2024. It was the first venue we visited, and we knew it was "the one" the moment we stepped out of the car—even before seeing the full extent of the work that has since gone into it. Owners Sarah and Jim have created something truly special; you can feel the heart and soul they’ve poured into the property while beautifully maintaining its historical integrity and charm. Getting to witness the venue’s progression in the months leading up to our wedding made us appreciate the sheer passion and hard work they pour into every detail. Sarah and Jim's support made all the difference. Because of the diligence they showed throughout our planning process, we felt entirely at ease when the big day finally arrived. We knew we were in excellent hands. If you’re on the fence about the full weekend package: do it. Beyond allowing us to feel completely at home, it gave us the space to host welcome drinks on the grounds as a “sneak peek” for our guests, while keeping the ceremony site and the barn under wraps for a big reveal the next day. From the very beginning, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive, and always providing us with great ideas, suggestions, and guidance to make our day special. We had a duo playing for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and then we had a small 3 person band playing for our reception. And it was the perfect amount of people. We had spoken to some other bands and they all kept saying we need some big band for the reception, but since we were having less than 100 people at the wedding, we didn’t think it made sense to have like a 10 person band, it just seemed like it would overwhelm the whole wedding. And we knew we wanted a band component since my father plays guitar and I had a feeling would want to play a song at some point. Then we spoke with Scott, he seemed to understand our vision of having a small band. He loved the idea of my father playing a song, and made suggestions on when was the perfect time for him to play, and even laughed along with our idea of playing “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, over and over again, since we were getting married on “the 21st night of September” (we did not do this)! The day of the band was amazing! They even took the time to learn our first dance song, which was a fairly unknown track, and played it beautifully, and surprised us with playing it. Since we thought it was just going to be a recorded version of the song. That was very special to us! And they were more than happy to let my dad play his song to us. Overall, the band's performance was lively and engaging, and they kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to help make our wedding celebration so memorable, and couldn’t have done it with Scott!”

“We had a wonderful wedding at The Garrison in August in 2024- from the minute we saw this breathtaking venue, we knew it was a special place where we could see ourselves spending one of the most important days of our life. I immediately got in touch with Bridget, who from day one was super accessible, transparent, kind and willing to work with us. Bridget walked us through the entire planning process, from a tasting where we were made to feel super special by the wonderful Fatima (who ended up being our day of attendant and was AWESOME) to every last detail of our special day. The venue itself is gorgeous, the sunset over the mountains, the floor to ceiling windows, the beautifully maintained grounds - our guests were in AWE. The staff was wonderful, they made sure to treat our wedding party extra special and gave great service to our guests. My morning getting ready in the bridal suite was peaceful and easy and Bridget and Fatima kept things on task. We knew our day was in great hands with Bridget and the team at The Garrison and we can't thank them enough for making our wedding such a memorable and beautiful day.”

“Where do we even begin? My husband Junior has not stopped saying since our wedding day that it was the best day of his life—and I couldn’t agree more. Our celebration at The Wedding Foundry at Liberty View Farm was beyond anything we could’ve dreamed. We are eternally grateful for the care, heart, and effort that went into creating a day so unforgettable—truly a memory etched in time. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away—not only by the stunning setup, but by the team behind it all. Every member of the staff was exceptional, working seamlessly to ensure everything ran like clockwork. Billiam, Erica, Magic Cathy (yes, she really is magic!), Iván, and Juan—what a powerhouse of a team. You can tell this isn’t just a job for them; it’s a calling, and it shows in every thoughtful detail. One of the promises this venue makes is that you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the joy of your wedding without worrying about logistics—and let me tell you, they deliver. Every element was handled with care and professionalism, allowing us to focus entirely on celebrating our love and being present with our guests. Their collaborative spirit and meticulous attention to detail left nothing to chance. The venue itself is nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in a landscape bursting with vibrant botanicals, it offers a setting so breathtaking that it feels like something out of a dream. And then there are the florals—oh, the florals—brought to life by the incredibly talented Iván Torres Vega. Photos alone don’t do justice to his work; in person, it felt like walking through a fairy tale. And beyond his artistry, Iván’s generosity shone through—when my mom’s dress wouldn’t stay up, he literally stepped in and tailored it on the spot. Who does that? Absolutely magical. We’re still floating on cloud nine, and much of that joy is thanks to Erica of Clean Plate Pictures, whose vision and presence put me at ease (especially as someone more used to being behind the camera). Her team captured every precious moment so effortlessly—it all felt natural, never forced. We just got our teaser photos back, and if those are just the previews, we can only imagine how breathtaking the full gallery will be. And let’s talk about the food. As a group of serious foodies, our guests were thrilled—and still talking—about the menu crafted by the extraordinary Juan Romero. We opted for the upgraded, customized selections, and wow… Chimichurri steak, Mediterranean lamb meatballs, tacos al pastor, smashies and more. Every bite was next-level delicious. We also highly recommend upgrading to include the flower bar—such a creative, memorable way to send your guests home with something special—and booking the extra hour on the farm. Also: don’t sleep on the silent disco package! It was the ultimate grand finale. Most of our guests had never experienced one before, and it turned out to be a massive hit. I can’t wait to see our video footage and relive every electric, joy-filled moment. Billiam, thank you for welcoming us to your slice of paradise and helping us create something truly magical. “We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!”

“Lynette and Bryndon are the best around! I used them for both my photo and video, and they give you nothing but perfection! Everything came out better than I expected. They arrived on time if not early. They were very respectful in the church. They learned my entire bridal party’s names so instead of saying “you” and pointing, they said their actual names. They were very encouraging to my husband and I throughout the day, and very helpful with anything we needed. They also were very helpful before the wedding day. Lynette helped me figure out timing for the day, and that truly helped it run smoothly and on time. They gave us a large “sneak peak” within two weeks of the wedding, and then had the entire wedding album back around 3 months. The videos came back about a month and a half after the wedding. They shot my cousins wedding back in 2021, and my friends wedding in 2023 so by my wedding they truly felt like the are apart of my family. I highly recommend pioneer media for your photography and videography needs!!”

“My wife and I had Lou DJ our upstate wedding and it was more than we could have dreamed of. From the beginning, he was nothing but professional. He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!! If you have a big heart for music and want it to be the backbone of any great party while having one of the most professional guys out there - Lou is 100% your guy. Thanks again Lou!!!!”
