Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves South Tucson, AZ

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Starts at $175
  • Serves South Tucson, AZ

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

The Faux Bouquets was a wonderful florist to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was prompt, clear, and friendly. They walked us through the process seamlessly and the quality of their work was excellent. The bouquets, boutonnières, garlands with clip on flowers, and centerpieces had an authentic, natural look despite being faux flowers. Pricing is transparent and affordable, making it an easy decision to choose Faux Bouquets. The bright spring colors in the Garden Vibrance collection were beautiful, annd a perfect fit for our late May wedding. The order arrived with ample lead time prior to the wedding day. Additionally, the packaging was excellent, and their return shipment process is very simple and easy to follow. We highly recommend The Faux Bouquets to any couple planning their wedding.

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Flowers have always been a deep passion of mine. The kind of passion that often made me cry just admiring a flower. I never hesitated to take on a project. It was not only therapeutic, but it was a way to channel my inner creativity. On October 16th, 2020, my husband and I were united in marriage. The wedding planning process was beautiful, and challenging. The challenge came in trying to find a venue, dress, shoes, floral design, and all of the above, that matched my distinct style. My husband saw my passion, and has been my number one supporter in extending this passion into a business. This business is truly my dream.

Carla with Dear Dahlia was absolutely phenomenal, and the florals were beyond beautiful. From the very beginning, she was great at communicating throughout the planning process, making sure every detail was perfect. All I said was, "I want bright flowers," and shared a few photos. She took my random thoughts and ideas and created a stunning mood board that captured the essence of what I envisioned for our special day. Her ability to translate my scattered thoughts into a cohesive and breathtaking floral design was truly impressive. She listened carefully to my preferences and provided expert guidance, ensuring that every arrangement was tailored to our style and theme. The flowers were fresh, vibrant, and arranged with such artistry that they became a highlight of our wedding decor. Throughout the planning process, Carla was always available to answer questions and provide updates. Her professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction, and she made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. On the day of the wedding, the floral arrangements exceeded all expectations. From the bouquets to the centerpieces, every detail was meticulously executed, creating a magical atmosphere that left our guests in awe. I think every guest commented on these florals! I would highly recommend Carla with Dear Dahlia to anyone looking for someone extraordinary. Her talent, creativity, and exceptional service make her the perfect choice for any wedding or event. We couldn't have asked for a better florist to bring our vision to life.

Vrinspirations

5.0

  • Starts at $3,500

We are a family business, everything started 2019. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and I enjoy the process of planning events, decorations, scheduling, and timelines. I worked in the hotel business for almost 10 years until I realized that I wanted to start working in what I love and I'm passionate about. That's how I decided to open my own company!

Where do I begin? Lori and her team were absolutely fabulous, she did so much work behind the scenes to make our day special. We had a highly personalized and very detailed set up with WildmanBT and Lori took care of all of it. I hired her based on great reviews from the venue and she was always available to answer questions via text, phone call or email whenever I had them. We started working together nearly a year and a half before the event so we can truly say she put on a great show! She was helpful, knew exactly how long certain processes would take and was so impressive managing other vendors and the timing we didn't even have to think of anything the day of. We had a large bridal party as well that she knew how to command and manage a room - our rehearsal of over 25 people took only 20 minutes! She also "had a guy" for all things wedding you could think of - I highly recommend reviewing her website as she provides florals, centerpieces, decorations and various other items and services. If she didn't provide the service or product directly she knew a trusted source we could go to to get it. We paid extra to have Lori and her team set up the centerpieces and our decorations, they were PERFECTLY laid out to our specs. I am very "type-A" and hard to impress so it was no small feat to manage all our expectations and Lori blew them out of the water. Highly recommend (photo credit to Emma Mullins Photography)
