Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

“From the moment I said yes, I knew florals would be the highlight of decor for our wedding day. Flowers hold such sentimental value for me because I’d spend my springs planting hundreds of annuals with my baba: zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, marigolds, begonias, etc. Going to my grandparents house was like going to a magical flower garden, and I wanted to recreate that feeling for our guests. After seeing Misha’s previous floral designs, I knew she would be able to bring what I had in mind to life; she did that and then some. The florals she lined my aisle with were exactly what I pictured: lush, whimsical, fun and filled with purples, oranges and greens. Those florals were then repurposed as centerpieces in the main reception tent and somehow became even more mystical underneath that lighting. On our way to the tent, we were amazed at the flowers on the seating chart wall. Dahlias and snapdragons, two of my absolute favorites… in colors that left me feeling the moody, romantic vibe I wanted and had described in design meetings with Misha leading up to the day. The flowers that adorned the tent’s entrance and up the poles created the most magical atmosphere. Sitting at our sweetheart table, we were surrounded by more florals that were repurposed from the ceremony; this time I believe from the gazebo, one of the most sentimental pieces of the day. Our reception tent really felt like a magical flower garden filled with our favorite people; exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.”

“Jessica and her team truly made my wedding magical. Sustainability and ethical sourcing were a priority for us and Jessica provided all US grown flowers. She even sourced vegetables from local farmers to use in the tablescapes that we and our guests took home and has meals made from them for the next couple of weeks! But the real magic was the colors she picked out. I wanted a very colorful, jewel toned world at my wedding and Jessica found flowers that both matched that aesthetic and complimented the whole medieval vibe of the theme. Her team also showed amazing flexibility when our ceremony location was changed at the last minute due to rain. Instead of decorating an archway they were decorating a completely different space with pillars, but they made it work and everything was ready on time. I’ve loved Jessica’s work so much that I’ve gone on to order flowers for other occasions. She did the flowers for my daughter’s first birthday which was Enchanted Forest themed and most recently my husband picked up a Valentine’s Day arrangement from her shop. “I knew from the beginning I wanted an ikebana inspired wedding and honestly that was REALLY hard to explain to most wedding florists. I’m Asian and the meaning behind balance, space, and intention mattered to me so much. I didn’t want big full wedding flowers everywhere, I wanted something calm, minimal, and meaningful. From the first consultation Floral Eden just got it. They understood this wasn’t about having more flowers, it was about placement, negative space, and the feeling of the ceremony and reception. They designed florals for our ceremony and reception and everything felt so intentional. The ceremony setup was simple but emotional, like every stem actually belonged there. It didn’t feel empty, it felt peaceful and balanced which is exactly what I wanted for an ikebana style wedding. In May of 2015, when I got married, we only had a week long engagement, so we collected bridal veil and lily of the valley from our gardens, and my mother cut lilacs from my grandmother's shrub. Every year, on our anniversary, our table is graced with the same flowers that I carried on my wedding day, and I have been enamored with the local flower movement ever since. We grow our flowers in harmony with nature. Our gardens are biodiverse, regenerative and naturally maintained. We design each arrangement in the spirit of mother nature; honored, collected and arranged by an artists' hand. We use sustainable techniques and no foam.

“10/10 would recommend to anyone who needs a brilliant, hardworking, passionate, and creative florist. We met with Sarah throughout our planning process and she worked with us and our planner to understand and bring our vision to life. She clearly understood the assignment. Every detail was perfect. Everything she created was unique and matched exactly what we were looking for. By growing her own flowers, she has an intimate understanding of what will work best. She created an incredible arch out of branches and flowers, aisle meadows that got repurposed to center pieces, and a variety of centerpieces for our 21 tables. Each table had its own, unique look - some with raised meadows, some with a mix of candles and bud vases, and some with a vase of flowers and candles. Our head table had 28 people, and she made each place setting feel special. She works hard to be as sustainable as possible, sourcing and thrifting vessels from local shops and vendors, and drying and reusing flowers when possible. Everything she created was beautiful, including a big fall bouquet. She also created a totally custom ceiling installation that hung over the dance floor - an absolute show stopper that all of our guests loved, and that the venue thinks will inspire some of their future events. Cannot recommend Highland Springs Floral highly enough.”
