We are from Michigan but meet in the Smoky Mtns and wantee to have our wedding there. We booked a cabin with clubhouse in gatlinburg but i am an all over the place bride lol and since i didnt know the first thimg about planning a wedding i needed to find help! Alex and bold & belle was recommended by the owner of the cabin so we book them. We had an initial call and a place to communicate online. Ariel and Alex were the ones we communicated with the most and sometimes some other members. When we came into town we met with Alex to go over our decor in person and she even created our bridal flowers. The bridal bouquet shevdid for us was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Ill take a pic and try to post it. Cece was our point of contact day of and Nicolle. Minister arrived late which caused delsys but Cece had the DJ entertain everyone. There was one song missed by the DJ but this was quickly resolved. We ended things a little earlier but overall we were happy with everything.

Heidi and Tristen are the most wonderful, creative, and kind people and they make delicious drinks to boot! After finding Black Orchid on our wedding planner's vendor shortlist, I am so, so happy we chose Black Orchid for our wedding. Even before we signed a contract, Heidi was so helpful in sharing experience and industry knowledge - my partner has worked in the restaurant industry and has been an amateur cocktail connoisseur since COVID times, and he felt so comfortable in their first meeting that we booked them immediately. Heidi was enthusiastic about planning our signature cocktails alongside us - even making a black walnut syrup from her own tree to use in our old-fashioned AND juicing carrots for my gin cocktail!! Helene hit a month before our scheduled wedding date, and (second to our venue - s/o Twisty Maple!!) Black Orchid was the vendor we knew we couldn't move forward without. Luckily, after communication was re-established, Heidi was flexible and we worked with her to reschedule. Once our second date got closer, my partner and I visited WNC to get back into the wedding spirit and Heidi and Tristen *came to our AirBnB* to sample our signature cocktails. They became fast friends and we chatted for hours! On our wedding day, it felt so special to have both Tristen and Heidi (as well as their staff) working our event. Professional and poised, they brought the perfect calm energy that we wanted to our small and personal celebration. I highly recommend reaching out to Black Orchid for your event. Katie was such an amazing person to work with from the very first phone call to our last email after my wedding!! I got engaged in February of 2023 and reached out to Katie the following month. My husband and I decided to elope but we still wanted to have a big celebration with all our favorite people. The idea of splitting up our wedding into two events made me very stressed and anxious. I wasn't positive on how we could even achieve this and if it was just a crazy idea. My first phone call with Katie I expressed my concern and she immediately reassured me that this idea was possible. After our first call ended I let out the biggest sigh of relief and told my husband that I was so thankful that I reached out to her!! Our elopement was beyond perfect and our reception space was STUNNING thanks to Katie! She even mailed our marriage license for us! Katie was very responsive and honest. When I sent her inspo she let me know what we could do to achieve my goal but in our budget. She is also super sweet and very cool! I wish I could throw more events just to have her help me again. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Memories Made with Brittney LaShea! Brittney was instrumental in making the wedding of my dreams come true! Listen—I am a project manager by profession—super organized, type A control freak, very particular—so for me to hand over the most important day of my life to someone else seemed unimaginable. But from my first meeting with Brittney, I felt nothing but utter confidence in her abilities and she definitely proved me right! I hired Brittney for day-of coordination about 2-3 months out from my wedding which took place March 2025. Brittney is an EXPERT event planner who was able to give me so much guidance even though I was so far into wedding planning. She is also EXTREMELY thorough—“day-of” coordination doesn’t just mean you show up on the day of the wedding and Brittney understands that. She put in the necessary prep work, reviewing vendor contracts, creating a detailed day of timeline, coordinating with vendors, and leading the rehearsal. Working with Brittney in the weeks leading up to the wedding and in particular at the rehearsal, I was able to observe the intentionality with which she builds relationships with people. On the wedding day, Brittney was a literal SUPERHERO. She comes equipped with walkie talkies and the most thorough emergency kit I’ve ever seen! There were things that went wrong throughout the day (that’s inevitable) but Brittney shielded me from so much of that by making executive decisions and coming up with solutions on the fly, which allowed me to just enjoy my day. Cold sparks tripped the power in the reception hall—Brittney handled it. Wind kept blowing over the arch as they were trying to decorate—Brittney handled it. By the end of the night, I didn’t want to deal with the train on my reception dress—Brittney handled it (the woman literally stitched a bustle for me lol). I could go on and on forever about how amazing this woman is. My family, the vendors, and even random guests commented on what an incredible job she did. So I’m just going to say anyone would be LUCKY to have Brittney on their team.

All couples need Dana and her team with Thyme & Details for their big day. We hired Dana as a day of coordinator but she is so much more than that. She went to countless vendor meeting and kept track of all of my overly detailed instructions to make sure each piece of our day (timeline, vendor contracts, etc) worked with those details. When the venue dropped the ball, others got details wrong, or vendors fell through, Dana was always a step ahead and came up with even better solutions than our original plans. Dana really knows the ins and outs of organizing a wedding, is in tune with the Columbus wedding scene, and has incredibly valuable connections. Overall we were blown away by Dana and her team’s professionalism and dedication to our wedding. Where do I even begin? Liz is truly a one of a kind human being. I don’t think I could ever fully put into words how exceptional she is. We didn’t originally plan on hiring a wedding planner. But about nine months out, I quickly realized I needed help. Choosing Liz ended up being one of the best decisions we made. She guided us through every detail with ease and confidence. Not only did she help manage our entire wedding, but she also planned our honeymoon, which turned out to be beyond anything we ever could have imagined. One of our top activities in Aruba opened for reservations the day after our wedding, and Liz booked it immediately that morning to get us in. She booked all activities and restaurants for us. Anytime I had a question, which was often, she responded within minutes or simply called me. She made everything fun, approachable, and stress-free. She kept detailed tabs on every task and ensured nothing slipped through the cracks. Even when I had the majority of vendors and plans in place, she refined everything with such precision. She understood my personality and how overwhelmed I can get, even when things are technically “done,” and she guided me through everything with patience and grace. The week of the wedding, she checked in frequently. On the day of, she was phenomenal. Every detail was set up exactly how we envisioned it. Labeling bins and décor helped her and her assistant move seamlessly, and I’m so grateful because she executed our entire moody/vintage aesthetic vision flawlessly. Two days before the wedding, when I couldn’t find greenery anywhere, Liz made one or two calls and found it instantly. I’ll never forget when I urgently needed our honeymoon flight information for our rental car info and she literally pulled over on the highway to send it to me. That is who she is, someone who goes above and beyond in ways most people wouldn’t even consider. Her pricing is more than fair, and her service is worth every single penny. Whether you need full-service planning or just check-ins, she adapts to exactly what you need. I had most things planned, but still had countless details and small several questions lol. No matter how minor or silly they felt, she always responded with kindness and expertise. Our FaceTime meetings became a highlight of the planning process. Occasionally, her pups or her daughter would pop into the frame, making everything feel personal-not like a business transaction, but like talking to a friend who genuinely cared about us and our day. Liz is an amazing planner, but she is an even better human. Humble, compassionate, creative, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable, especially with florals. I made my own centerpieces, and with her guidance, they turned out exactly how I imagined. Russell and I are endlessly grateful she was part of our wedding. From start to finish working with Avenue Design Studio was a fantastic experience! I had an initial call with Chad and based on that I knew they were professionals who could bring my vision to life through floral design and day of coordination. Then they continued to provide clear and open communication throughout the planning process and were able to make suggestions as needed to advance my vision. The week of the wedding I was in contact with Morgan who would be our official day of coordinator. Morgan ended up saving the day when our bartender cancelled on us last minute; she stepped in and bartended on top of coordinating. Then she was able to work with me to donate our flowers to a women’s shelter; a cause that hits close to home for me. I cannot recommend Avenue Design Studio enough!!

We LOVED working with Brittany. We had monthly meetings with her for over a year, from the venue search phase to the handoff to our month-of coordinator, and she was so helpful. She helped us with the searches for everything—venue, DJ, photography, day-of coordination, flowers, catering—and provided us timelines and organization tools that were genuinely invaluable. We had very little idea going in exactly what was needed to plan a wedding, but Brittany’s collaboration made us feel very on top of things. She also worked with us to troubleshoot things when issues arose (like our flower provider not following some of our communication requests). And an added bonus is that she’s fun to hang out with lol—we really enjoyed our monthly meetings!! Would absolutely recommend the Venlist (and Brittany specifically)!

We first met Connie Clark when our daughter was organizing her wedding reception. At that time, Connie was involved with a startup venue that was undergoing renovations. To cut a long story short, around 7 PM the evening before our daughter's reception, it became clear that the venue was not prepared. When the venue manager was not responding to her calls, she rallied the group that was financing the remodeling project. By 10 PM, the lead investor instructed Connie to find an alternative location for the reception, which was scheduled for the following evening. Connie reached out to a nearby coffee shop/bar, explained the situation, and requested the on-duty manager to contact the owner to see if the reception could be held there. Shortly after, Connie received confirmation that the reception would take place at the new venue. She informed the investment group about the change in location and began reorganizing for the new space. Our family learned of the change around 7:30 AM on the day of the reception, and once we gave our approval, Connie assembled a team and transformed the coffee house/bar into a beautiful reception hall. What Connie managed to coordinate and accomplish in such a brief period was truly remarkable.
