“TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!”

“DJ Conner was absolutely amazing and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the dancing music and all the music played throughout the evening. He listened to our music needs, which were not the clearest at times, but nonetheless he came up with a great playlist that fit the diverse age range and what we were envisioning. It seemed that all the guests were dancing on the dance floor at some point in the evening. Just recently a guest from the wedding reached out commenting how Conner was the best wedding DJ they have ever heard. Conner brings a cool, sophisticated vibe that is truly great for all age demographics. Additionally, Conner was super professional, on time, and had state of the art sound equipment. He also did an incredible job micing the night and keeping the pace. The fact that I didn't want the night to end speaks volumes to how much I enjoyed our wedding and a big part of that was the music. Hiring the right DJ is one of the best wedding decisions we made and was also way more cost effective than a live band. We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!”

We had an older crowd but me and my younger friends were on the dance floor all night and he made sure to keep the party going- even coming out on the floor to dance with us! The only suggestion I heard from my friends was there could have been a better job of reading the room- not many slower songs were played while the older couples were still there and I’m sure that would have gotten them on the floor. Overall our experience with Corbin and the team was smooth!”
