“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

Local Lore (formerly VDL Brothers) began as a farm with a single grower dreaming of providing locally grown, beautiful flowers. Now, we are bringing the produce of that farm to couples who are looking for fresh florals designed with a romantic, whimsical touch. We love to create soft, flowing bouquets, nature inspired arches, creative statement pieces and installations. We give each of our couples a high level of attention to detail, and dedicate our time to two events per month.

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gregory and his team at Flouer! From the very beginning, he understood my vision and brought it to life with so much creativity and his own personal flare. My bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets and every arrangement were absolutely stunning, especially the gorgeous blue hydrangeas that made everything feel so classic New England. The chandelier arrangement that Gregory created was a show stopper! It was everything I imagined it would be and more. On the wedding day, they worked tirelessly and through the pouring rain to make sure every detail was perfect. I felt completely at ease knowing they had everything handled, and the results were beyond anything I could have dreamed! Gregory and his team worked so well with my wedding planner as well as the manager of our venue to create the most quintessential New England celebration. I truly cannot recommend Gregory enough. She followed our lead for more simple bud vase florals and designed greenery to sit at the bases of our chuppah that was stunning. Emily’s approach is relaxed, professional, and warm. She clearly is mindful of queer couples especially! When we needed extra hands, Emily made sure to tap in a team member and they delivered beautifully day of, without even a hiccup, despite not having been a part of any initial planning. This is a testament to Emily’s care and communication! Additionally, Emily’s prices felt very accessible and intentional. We appreciated this!”

“Wedding May 2025, Beardslee Castle, Photos by Erin Covey Creative There's so many wonderful things to say, I hope I can cover them all. Hanna and Elle are outstanding florists and wonderful people to work with. My vision of flowers was was "pretty and lavender" and they took that and ran with it. My ceremony was originally meant to be outside but as the day got closer and the weather turned, Hanna made sure to be in touch with me and easily adjusted to doing the ceremony inside. Walking into the venue and seeing their work was incredible. The ceremony area was beautiful, the bud vases on the tables and along the mantels were so pretty and so perfect, me and my guests absolutely loved every detail. Hanna delivered the flowers to Beardslee, spent the afternoon setting up, and made sure to see me to give me and the bridesmaids our bouquets (which were STUNNING). From the initial consult all the way through to the wedding, she answered my questions, listened to my vision, and was all around amazing to work with. I can't recommend Mohican flowers enough, thank you Hanna and Elle!”
