“We rented flowers through Something Borrowed Blooms and went with the Jane collection. Flowers were lower on our tier of priorities, so this worked well for us. It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.”

I considered silk flowers but then stumbled across wood flowers and I was immediately sold on the idea. At the time there weren’t many ppl local to me who made wooden bouquets but I reached out to a few and ended up going with Katie at Heart & Sola Creations because she was so easy to talk to and walked me through the whole process. She didn’t have one of the colors I needed but asked me to send a fabric sample and she created a dye color that matched my bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly!! Everything came out perfect and looked so good in pictures. 6 years later and I still have my bouquet on display on a shelf and my husband’s boutonnière in a shadow box with our invite, vows and unity rope braid. I would highly recommended Katie for any of your wooden floral needs, she won’t disappoint.”

“I was the relaxed, laid back minimalistic bride who still wanted the big day with the partying and traditions etc. I just wanted a florist who was easy to work with, delivered, and was going to give me something beautiful without making it stressful and ridiculous. “Melissa from Amaranth was an absolute angel and really stood out from the other florists in the Villanova area because of how accommodating and reasonably priced she was. We wanted to do something unique and have sustainable centerpieces that were potted plants rather than cut flowers and we bought our own pots to help with the cost. She was the only florist willing to take on this additional complication and even spent time with me helping me select pots that would look good together. She made the centerpieces absolutely beautiful with clusters of multiple pots and plants of different heights and colors. Several of the guests still have the pots and plants in their home! Also, we had a hindu ceremony and needed a very decorative chuppah style structure. Her team did an absolutely beautiful job with a natural wood structure, beautiful greens and flowers, even though they had less time to set it up than planned due to issues with other vendors. Melissa is extremely personable and hardworking and is trying to make the day special for us without charging an arm and a leg. Our wedding would not have been the same without her at all and so glad she was part of our wedding. Thank you Melissa!!!”

My love of Floriculture and Horticulture began when I was young thanks to parents that loved to garden and create breathtaking displays of flowers. That love continued through school and became my passion in college. After gaining a BS from Michigan State University in Horticulture/Floriculture and Landscape Design, I began my career. In 1995, I began Mark Bryan Designs with a eye towards creating unique floral designs for events and weddings.
