Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! “I had an absolutely amazing experience with Tamara at The Red Experience! Tamara did all the flowers for my wedding. She made my vision come to life, exactly how I’d imagined it! She created this beautiful floral arch for the gazebo that was absolutely jaw-dropping. She also designed and built gorgeous hanging hoops of flowers. They definitely added a special touch. Of course, Tamara did all the bouquets, boutonnières, and wrist corsages. It was all perfect! My husband especially loved the boutonnières because they looked great, but weren’t too bulky and cumbersome. We didn’t have to worry about flowers tugging on shirts or flopping over. The results were great, but the process of working with Tamara was lovely as well. She took the time to meet with me multiple times over the planning process, and as an extremely stressed out bride, Tamara helped me SO MUCH by walking me through everything. Since then, we have done several weddings, even was hired by the football hall of fame in Canton Ohio in August 2023.

From our initial meeting, their quick response, the details and vision boards, the surprises they kept for my family to surprise us with attention to what we love to do together - read and explore old bookstores, our love of first editions, they found antique books and wow, what they did with the flowers! The Flowers from the bouquets, pocket boutonnieres, our ceremony ground arch (omg!) to our reception was all just perfect. They stayed inside our budget and I do not honestly know how as it looks like we spent triple but we didn't! Their honest and kind approach and knowledge sold us. Their expertise won us an in the end it was beyond perfect! We had met with 2 other florists in St Augustine prior to meeting AWP and the experience we had at AWP was 100 times more professional, knowledgeable, and all around better. Awp had coolers filled with flowers for me to see, the hands on approach to showing us everything to their warehouse filled with everything needed for weddings, they really know what they are doing and it showed at our wedding. “We chose this company since it was recommended to us. They were thorough in gathering details about what we liked and colors to bring our vision together. At first we thought we wanted fresh flowers for everything but the more we thought about how they would just die afterwards and we would be Sorenson double what silk flowers cost since fresh is so much more we decided to go with silk. Their Designs were unique and different from any other florist and that's what we liked. We were also able to rent our centerpieces from them and just return them afterwards so that was great as well!! There is also a flowerl spray they send to spray the flowers if you would like a rose or flower scent. Poetic Blooms Co. Is definitely a fave of mine now and we will use them again for other stuff.”
