“When I started planning my 40th birthday party, I couldn't decide between a band or a DJ. Each one I was looking at was just not the vibe and I was starting to get discouraged. Then, a friend of mine posted a story at a party where Tyler was DJing/playing the sax, and right away I knew he was the missing piece. I've attended parties with a sax player before, but NEVER like this and never one who does BOTH the DJing AND the sax! From the moment I reached out, Tyler was incredible. He followed up quickly and was great with all communications - we hopped on a call and to go over my theme and ideas, and he was so receptive and amazing with adding in things to help take my existing ideas to the next level. He even helped with the floor plan suggestions to help ensure my goal of "everyone being on the dance floor with me all night" would be more achievable - and omg am I glad I listened. Additionally, he suggested extending the party 1 hour, and thankfully we did because my initial timing guess was way off. Bottom line - trust him, HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. At the same time, he was never pushy and I never felt like I HAD to go with his ideas, but again, so glad I did. On the night of the party, from start to finish Tyler and his team were flawless. He made sure to play all of my "must play" songs, and read the vibes of the room perfectly - I've truly never seen some of my guests dance this much EVER. The amount of people who came up to me that night and have texted and called me since to tell me how epic Tyler and his team were is not surprising in the least. Multiple guests described it as the "best party they've ever been to" and said they "haven't danced that much since college" (and let's just say, it's been at least 15-20 years since then for all of us). One of my friends even booked him on the spot for her upcoming birthday! I could truly go on and on, but I will just end with this - DON'T THINK TWICE, DON'T BOTHER LOOKING ELSEWHERE, BOOK TYLER. You will NOT regret it! Thanks Tyler and team for the most epic night of my life!!! (also, I wish I could upload videos here because photos don't do any justice!!!)”

The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. “When I say that Dylan and the Moon Units MADE our wedding, I am not exaggerating. They not only delivered, the exceeded our already high expectations in every way possible. Music was extremely important for my husband and me, and we knew immediately that we wanted a live band to elevate the evening. We found Dylan and the Moon Units' information online, and after finding that they were very within our budget we reached out and Dylan invited us to one of their gigs in Hollywood. We loved their vibe and booked them. We asked Dylan to play both our ceremony and our reception, as well as play preset playlists for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour. Now, I must admit, because music was so important for my husband and my special day, we had *very* specific ideas for what we wanted. Dylan was extremely communicative, answering all of my extremely needy and detailed emails in a timely manner and doing everything he could to reassure me that we were in good hands. We made selections from the list of songs they knew, and also asked them to learn about 10 new songs for us, ranging from unique arrangements of existing songs to deep cuts from 90's movies. Dylan's communication was warm, expeditious, and professional, and I felt really well taken care of. At our wedding, though, is where they exceeded our expectations. The live music they played was amazing, and set the tone for our wedding in the exact way we were hoping for. At the reception, they kept the energy up with a perfectly curated playlist of our requests (and we had quite a lot!) songs they knew would keep the party going. Their song choices appealed to the older crowd as well as the Millennial crowd. Dylan even help me set up a surprise performance for my husband, where I sang one of this favorite songs ("Go Cubs Go") with the backing of the Moon Units band. It was an incredibly special moment. And creating special moments was what Dylan and the Moon Units did best. Somehow, they managed to keep the dance floor packed the entire evening. Months after our wedding, our guests have continuously called out Dylan and the Moon Units as an absolute highlight of our wedding, saying that it was musically one of the best weddings they have ever been to. All-in-all, I cannot recommend Dylan and the Moon Units enough. As someone who was VERY specific about the music at my wedding, they exceeded all of our expectations. Book them for your wedding ASAP - you will not be disappointed.”

Literally everyone at our wedding was on their feet for dancing and loved all the music DJ Trey played! He also was fantastic in making sure all of the music played on their appropriate cues and was well-prepared. He was great to work with for our wedding and we can’t wait to throw another party just so we have an excuse to use DJ Trey again!”
