In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. Sophia is the creative force behind Botanical Preserves. Raised in an artistic household, she’s worked with multiple mediums over the years, with five years of experience in floral design. Having a fascination with the realm of plants and their healing powers, Sophia surrounds herself with botanicals and their many elements. The concept of floral design as a living, restorative, art form gave her a deep respect for flowers and their unique personality. Their nature of fragility adds to their elusiveness, and gives her the opportunity to exhibit the never-to-be-replicated side of her personality every time she works with floral product.

I started working with wood flowers in February of 2020. A friend of mine had recently gotten married, and seeing her bouquet in the trash stuck with me. I researched fresh vs silk flowers, fresh are stunning but expensive & have a fast expiration date. Silk flowers didn’t really satisfy the customization and realism that I desired. I stumbled across wood flowers, purchased a few & quickly realized that not only was I actually a little talented at what I was doing, but I absolutely LOVED doing it. I fell in love almost immediately. I want to express my love & passion for these wood flowers & I want brides to fall in love the same way I did.
