Pete Aranda (DJ Pete) started his DJ career in his teen years assisting his uncle carrying vinal records for his DJ gigs. I’m a solo acoustic singer and guitarist who performs for weddings and private events throughout the Austin area. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love being able to share it during some of the most meaningful moments people experience. There’s something special about performing live during a ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception and seeing how the right song can shape the mood of the entire moment. I enjoy working with couples to understand the feel they want for their day and helping create a musical backdrop that complements it naturally.

Nu Standard was founded by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Derrick Hicks. Passionate about providing top-class wedding entertainment, this Texas-native has been playing instruments since his childhood. Consisting of vocalists, horns, and a rhythm section, the band features some of the city’s most seasoned musicians. Lisa earned a Master of Music degree in Harp Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. She has performed as Principal Harpist with the Austin Civic Orchestra since 2010. Lisa has experience providing background music for a variety of events, including weddings, Sunday brunch at restaurants, art gallery openings, receptions, and assisted living/senior center events. Lisa has performed at holiday parties for Tiffany & Co. and for the Texas Secretary of State.
