Hope Glen Farm

  • Starts at $1,500

In 1910, President Taft signed the bill to establish Glacier National Park as the country’s 10th national park. Mr. Healy was given a plumbing contractor for the train depot here in St. Paul, where he met Samuel Bartlett, the architect of many of the railroad depots and Glacier National Park Lodge. Healy then commissioned Bartlett to renovate and enlarge the house. In 1914, the farm was sold to John Healy, the owner of Healy Plumbing and Heating Company of St. Paul. Mr. Healy’s company became closely tied to the Great Northern Railroad, as it provided the heating and plumbing for many of the train depots that were being built around the country at that time. The farm was named Hope Glen Farm, the name of John Healy’s mother’s maiden name of Hope, and the house settles in a Glen, thus Hope Glen.

Our wedding at Hope Glen was absolutely beautiful. Michael and Paula have done a wonderful job making the property look nice and have great staff. The treehouse was amazing to be able to stay in the night of and we will absolutely be going back sometime. The only thing that came up was the girl who did our morning orientation did a very poor job. She was young and didn't really seem to know what she was talking about, and left us with little to no helpful information day of. There were a few things, such as the hanging basket that she wouldn't have even told us how to do if we didn't ask, which isn't helpful because we don't know the venue like she does. Ultimately, I would absolutely go back if I could! I look forward to reliving the memories everytime I drive by!!

What a treasure! I recently delivered and set up florals I created for a wedding. I had never been to the nursery/venue before, and I must say my curiosity was peaked. Wow…this was more magical than I could have imagined! Not only is the property historical, the charms of the buildings and patios were like walking through an English garden. Upon going inside, I was again, enamored with the vibe of this venue! It had a modern rustic charm to it- bright white walls, warm wood features & an antique garden gazebo, among other unique features. It was enchanting to say the least! It is perfect for an intimate event. It has plenty of space for many guest tables, features tables (food, photo) and photo opportunities. The natural light through the windows that look out onto the patio gardens provide a perfect blend of letting the beauty of nature in. The staff was very friendly, helpful & hospitable. I met several of the staff that day and you could tell they loved what they do out at Marketplatz. I am very much looking forward to my next event there.

When we began looking for possible wedding venues, we came across the Outback and was the best decision we could have made. The venue location sits beautifully in the bluffs and is isolated enough that we felt like our wedding was ours and everything we needed was either provided to us by Holly or was easy to find. Our guests stayed in LaCrosse and it was easy for us to get transportation to and from the venue. One of the biggest pluses was having the apartments available to us. We were able to arrive and stay at the venue the entire weekend. Which made everything less stressful for us. Cannot recommend this venue more.
