Fleurs de Terra

5.0

  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Kensington, CT

With over 8 years of experience working with flowers & many years spent admiring their unique beauty — my love for florals is not thin. Forever a student in life, learning all there is to know about florals, color theory & design is what birthed Fleurs de Terra, a micro-floral design studio based in West Hartford, Connecticut serving New England & beyond!

Tara is a floral design artist of extraordinary talent. She crafted an experience that transcended mere decoration and became the heartbeat of our wedding day. Her arrangements were not just flowers—they were poetry in bloom, each petal and stem a testament to her ability to capture the very essence of our vision. With an intuitive grace, she wove together colors and textures that mirrored the tender intimacy we dreamed of, transforming our venue into a living canvas of love and celebration. Every bouquet, every centerpiece, felt like a whispered promise, perfectly aligned with the romantic elegance we had envisioned. What truly set Tara apart was her seamless blend of efficiency and artistry. Despite the whirlwind of wedding planning, she worked with a quiet confidence, delivering every arrangement on time without ever compromising her meticulous attention to detail. Her commitment to local offerings was a beautiful touch, ensuring that each bloom was not only fresh but also a reflection of the season’s natural palette. Everything came together in a seasonally matched aesthetic that felt both timeless and deeply personal. Tara’s work was more than floral design; it was a heartfelt gift that elevated our day into something truly unforgettable.

Hi there! I’m Josslyn, a Connecticut-based wedding florist and the founder of The Flowr Studio, a Latina-owned floral design studio rooted in artful and intentional design. I love creating florals that feel organic and inspired by nature, with a balance of garden style and modern elegance. Every arrangement is a chance to express creativity, tell a story, and bring beauty into a moment that matters. Our name, The Flowr Studio, comes from the idea of flow state, that immersive place of focus where time just seems to kind of disappear. I find that same peace and presence when I design, letting flowers guide me as I shape each piece with care.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Kensington, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The BEST most nerve wracking decision we made for our big day!!! I was so nervous to go this route but trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did. FM was incredible at walking me through the process and the full service package is worth WAY more than what you pay for it. I felt incredibly prepared for flower arrival from all the phone calls, videos, and paperwork they sent including detailed recipes and schedule for the week. We had some hiccups with Hurricanes and delayed shipping. They called me to initially tell me they would be a day early. Then when they didn’t arrive called again and explained they’d been held up in customs(obviously no ones fault). They then sent out an entire extra box of blooms to be sure we got everything we needed. Flowers were beautiful!!! Spending time with my sisters and family putting them together was truly the most fun wedding prep. My guests and coordinator truly couldn’t believe we had done all our own flowers, and the best part??! We saved ourselves literally thousands!! We would recommend FM to anyone for any occasion anytime.

We met with Adrienne, who clearly explained how everything would work, and their on-site team did an amazing job bringing it all to life on the day. We sent just a few inspiration photos, and they customized all the arrangements. We were especially happy with the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, the ceremony centerpiece clouds, the table arrangements, and the elegant single-flower vases scattered throughout. Everything looked incredible at a great price. We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.

Fountainhead Floral Design

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Awarded Best of Zola
Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.

Emily and her team transformed our harsh, industrial wedding venue into the most romantic, dreamy space I've ever seen. She suspended fabric, built an incredible floral installation, hung vines, and created the most beautiful centerpieces, bud vases, and bouquets. Her eye for design and artistry is incredible, her flowers are stunning, her hardware is beautiful, and she is so kind, communicative, and easy to work with. I got a few other quotes before I went with Emily -- not only did her flowers end up looking far better than those vendors' flowers (based on pictures I'd seen), but her prices were better, too!
