They gave us a lot of flexibility with the event space, allowing us to move things around and add our own personal touches without any problems. The Wedgewood team made sure that we had our special touches and that each guest was enjoying their experience. They also went out of their way to make our bridal party feel special as well. The Wedgewood experience from beginning to end was very effortless, and I trusted them 100% with everything - they did not let me down.

Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach was the perfect venue for our wedding! We used the downstairs patio for our cocktail hour and the upstairs Avalon room for our reception. From the moment we started working with Vida, their venue coordinator, we knew we were in great hands. Vida was incredibly responsive, organized, and paid close attention to every detail to ensure our day went off without a hitch. She was so flexible and went above and beyond to help us execute all the details of our vision, making the entire planning process much less stressful. The value we received for the money was unbeatable - the high ceilings and stunning views of the sunset from the windows created such a beautiful, nautical ambiance. For smaller weddings (we had about 90 guests), we could not recommend Bluewater Grill more highly.

Where do I begin?!! The Portofino Hotel & Marina was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! From day one all the way to today, a few days after the wedding, all the staff we encountered has been excellent!! Specifically I want to give a shout out to Sierra, Rain, Luis, Paco, & Mac. Sierra was my main hotel wedding coordinator and contact. She was so responsive, attentive, organized, sweet, available, and amazing!! I couldn’t be happier with her and her services. The entire experience was seamless. We planned an entire wedding in under 2 months together as I was eager to marry my man this year. She was so helpful and explained any and all things when I had questions. Starting with booking the venue all the way to the day after the wedding. Everything was so organized, including the deadlines of decisions I needed to make, and payment info, and what to do if it rained. She had everything covered. THANK YOU THANK YOU SIERRA!! Rain was also another venue coordinator & catering sales manager who helped us too and he was amazing as well. He stepped in when/if Sierra was out of the office and he attended our tasting and answered so many questions as well. He was so nice, sweet and great to work with. Very organized and never missed a beat! Thank you Rain!! Luis, the director of Banquets, handled anything food and drink related and everything was perfect. He even placed two of each hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table (knowing we probably wouldn’t get a chance to eat them during cocktail hour as we were busy mingling) and he was right!! It was such a sweet, simple gesture that made a big impression on us. Paco was one of the Bartenders from the day of (I never got a chance to meet our other bartender) and he was so fun and cheerful and positive and an overall great spirit. Guests kept telling me how much they loved Paco and me too! Mac worked on the hotel side and we met him when we checked in and he handled ALL our luggage and he also golf carted me around on the actual wedding day so I didn’t have to walk too much. He was super sweet and was so helpful and had a great vibe! Also, my initial point of contact was Melanie who responded to my initial venue request. She was so great and helpful and responsive that right away we were sold and we booked the venue the next day without ever even seeing it in person. On top of all the AMAZING staff, the venue is just absolutely beautiful!! You can’t find a prettier ocean front venue in the So Cal. Just gorgeous. We chose a type of all-inclusive wedding package that included a sit down 3-course dinner, open bar, ceremony, hotel room, wedding cake, and many more perks such as white linen, candles on each table, arch on the ceremony grass, champagne toast, etc. It was perfect, efficient, organized and made my life so easy. I really didn’t have to do much except invite guests and show up!! many of my guests told me afterward they were so impressed with the staff, venue and the food!!! Seriously, the food was excellent. I know all of this sounds too good to be true but honestly it was. I had zero problems, no horror stories, nothing. It truly was a PERFECT day and overall experience. I also found out afterward that a coworker of mine got married here too this past summer and she said the same thing. Her day was perfect as well and I am not surprised at all. Thank you to everyone at the Portofino! We cant wait to come back just to enjoy the restaurant, the views and the excellent service :)

Throughout the planning process, their communication was prompt, precise and proficient in addressing all of our questions and requests. On our big day, the ceremony harbour terrace setup was simply beautiful, elegant and poised - the ocean views made for an intriguing backdrop as we exchanged our vows. The staff worked seamlessly to transform the space from ceremony to reception, and everything flowed together beautifully. For the value, we found the Sonesta to offer gorgeous waterfront venues and top-notch service at reasonable prices compared to other beachside locations in the LA area. We highly recommend them for any couple looking for a beautiful, memorable Southern California wedding!

The Redondo Beach Historic Library is an excellent choice for a wedding or event venue. The space is large and open, providing great value for the cost, and the location literally right by the water was stunning, especially at sunset. I loved the views and the food when I attended the first event Made by Meg Catering hosted there in February 2025 before renovations, it was a candidate forum for the city of Redondo Beach, and I cannot wait to return for many more events after they finish construction in the near future!

Danielle, our coordinator, was incredibly helpful, even coming down to assist with our rehearsal at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond, seamlessly transitioning our ceremony from outside to the indoor reception space. We were impressed by how everything has been recently remodeled - the space is clean, bright, and beautifully appointed. I highly recommend this location for any events, as the staff is great and the venue is truly top-notch.

We got married at La Venta Inn in September 2024 and it was truly everything we could have asked for. The centerpiece here, and a large part of why we chose this venue, is the spectacular view overlooking the ocean which made for such beautiful pictures. Besides the natural beauty of the area, the building itself is a historic villa which felt cozy and intimate and yet comfortably accommodated our guest count of 100. Savannah was our contact person and was very responsive to emails, including some last minute seating changes we had in the weeks leading up to the wedding La Venta works exclusively with Made by Meg for catering - Kat was our contact person and was fantastic to work with. Note that they do not allow outside food vendors, but they were able to accommodate some of our special requests such as requests to source a specific brand of ice cream so that we could make our wedding unique to us. We got so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was. The other exclusive vendor that they are contracted with is Vox DJs. This is the only vendor that we had a less than stellar experience with. They performed their duties fine on the day of the wedding, with the exception of forgetting to set up the dance lights we had paid for, but the communication and planning leading up the wedding did not go as smoothly as I hoped, and I wish that we had the flexibility to go with a DJ company of our own choosing. However I understand the restrictions given that La Venta is a historic site. Overall, our wedding at La Venta was memorable, beautiful, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with spectacular ceremony views. With a venue like this, you really only need a good florist (we used Flowernoon Shop) and a talented photographer (June Choi Photography) to bring out the natural beauty of the venue - you really don't need a lot of other rentals, draping, etc. We are so happy we had our wedding here!

Urban Palms was an absolutely fabulous wedding venue — I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! The space is stunning, and the pricing was very reasonable. They were also incredibly accommodating with our budget, which we truly appreciated. One of the biggest highlights was that the venue includes catering through Critics Choice Catering. Having the catering and tableware handled in-house removed so much stress from the planning process. Kaycie was wonderful to work with — so enthusiastic, organized, and genuinely invested in bringing our vision to life. From our very first tour to the food tasting and final details meeting, she listened carefully to our needs and was always quick to respond to every text or call. Everything turned out picture-perfect, and it was magical seeing the venue completely transformed for our big day. Kaycie also provided excellent vendor recommendations, which saved me so much time since I didn’t have a lot of time to plan. We used her suggested photographer, florist, and bridal party makeup team — and they were all fantastic. I highly recommend doing the day-of coordination with Kaycie and her team. I didn’t have to answer a single question on my wedding day — everything ran seamlessly. The coordinators were amazing, especially when I had a bustle mishap with my dress and they fixed it in seconds! They truly catered to us all evening, greeting us with drinks and appetizers upon arrival and keeping the entire timeline running perfectly. We hosted our cocktail hour in the Palm Court with our photo booth, enjoyed an intimate dinner in the Promenade with a beautiful U-shaped table setup, had our first dances and dance floor on the Lido Deck, and finished with cake cutting and a lounge area on the Sky Deck. It was incredibly romantic and such a unique use of the space. The venue is conveniently located right off the 405 freeway, but the walls are soundproof — you can’t hear any traffic at all. Plus, there’s a huge parking lot, so no valet is needed. Overall, Urban Palms is a beautiful, well-organized, and stress-free venue. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to have a truly magical wedding day!

We had the most wonderful wedding experience at the Courtyard by Marriott LA Westside. Our Catering Manager, Alex Cantu was so helpful, caring, and professional. We had a short timeline from planning to our big day and all was handled with care and ease. The Palisades patio was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. My family selected Jamaica Bay Inn because it was next to a small beach cove accessible from the Bermuda banquet room. We gathered for a Celebration of Life event and wanted to fly kites in memory of our beloved that passed away. Sayyora the Catering Manager was extremely efficient and flexible with the menu and my special request. Christina and the banquest staff were amazing. Christina had to leave the room to answer another clients questions and made sure another banquet person was in the room until she returned. The food was hot and plentiful. We selected the Buffet Pasta Station (1 with chicken and 1 with shrimp), baby greens salad, delicious fresh fruit. Accomodations were made for my request for a gluten free menu. I was in the hospitality business for 19 years for major hotels as a Catering Manger and Covention Services Manager and my critical eye can be hard to please. But I must say that the attention to detail was above and beyond. I would recommend Jamacia Bay at every opportunity. My family wants to return for a family reunion or just a family luncheon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

While it did get a little loud at times, there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle and enjoy the casual, laidback vibe. First - the food is delicious and the setting perfect for a wonderful meal. We used them for a rehearsal dinner of 40 and were absolutely impressed by Tiato! We spent quite a lot of time looking for a location for my daughters rehearsal dinner. Many friends suggested Tiato as a perfect location as it has a lot of beautiful spaces including a great outdoor space and wonderful food. The proposal we received from Tiato was so professional, thorough and thoughtful. I was very impressed in my dealings with Stephen Cisneros and knew it would be a fabulous event. We had the most wonderful tasting before selecting our final menu and everything was so good, it was difficult to choose. Stephen and his team went out of their way to make sure our evening was special including providing microphones for speeches, a lovely set-up and, most importantly, amazing food. The passed appetizers were delicious and beautifully presented. Stephen had great suggestions for timing of the event. Easy parking was included and the prices were fair. I appreciated that adding a specialty cocktail (we picked a wonderful berry margarita which featured fresh pressed blueberry, lemon and lime juices) was only 7.50 per person in addition to a reasonable bar package. I highly recommend Tiato for a lunch, dinner or event! Love the food!

We had our daughters wedding reception at the Jonathan Beach Club in their new Penthouse space and it was spectacular. Every aspect of the event was exactly what we'd hoped. The Jonathan Club Wedding Event Coordinator, Christie DeMoss was delightful to work with and had fabulous suggestions. The food tasting was lovely and we felt so special and excited about what our guests would be feasting on! The food was truly elevated and absolutely delicious. The space and the setup were perfect with an outdoor balcony cocktail area and bar, a large lobby for the guestbook, photobooth and activity and then the gorgeous reception space with dance floor. The staff were amazing and so friendly and attentive! I would highly recommend the JBC!

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.

We had the honor of working with Marla for our wedding in July 2024 and we cannot say enough AMAZING things about working with her to make our wedding dreams come true. When we had our initial site visit, Marla was so thorough with her questions to ensure that the spaces we looked at fit our budget or vision. She advised that the hotel is pet friendly, which we loved since we wanted a venue where our dog could be part of the wedding ceremony. We fell in love with the spaces (Jardin de Palmeras and Miramar Ballroom) and loved that they beautifully showcased Long Beach. To that, Hotel Maya offers wedding packages that include ceremony & reception spaces, wedding cake, day-of coordinator, day-of get ready room, hotel room the night of the wedding, catering, cake cutting knife & server, tables, chairs, utensils, tablecloths, and so much more! We didn’t have to look any further and booked Hotel Maya right away! During the wedding planning process, Marla continued to be the absolute best to work with. I came with a ton of questions, and she always responded quickly and never made we feel like I was a bother. If there was something outside of catering that we need assistance with, she would gladly point us in the right direction or generously help us herself. She gained our trust very quickly through her above & beyond customer service, kindness, and sweet personality. Marla’s work is truly magic. On our wedding weekend, Marla made herself available for any last-minute preparations we needed her help with. On the wedding day, she was there when we needed her, and she was working behind the scenes to ensure our wedding day went smoothly. She made sure to touch base with us once in a while to make sure we were doing all right and just be excited with us. At this point, she’s been such an integral part of our big day, we were definitely sharing our joy with her. Also, we are happy to say that our dog was included in our big day. It’s so sweet to know that he was there with us as well. The hospitality staff at Hotel Maya were kind an attentive, starting with my bridal party in the get ready room and all the way through dinner service by checking if my husband and I needed anything. We also heard a consistent compliment about our bartender from our guests: he was quick! They said even when the line was long, he whipped up drinks in a flurry. Even my father was really impressed! We are so glad our guests were taken care of by all the hotel staff. Thank you, Marla and the Hotel Maya staff, for everything. We are beyond grateful. You’ve made wedding planning less stressful and made our wedding dreams truly come true. Hotel Maya will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts.
