Creek Water Blooms

5.0

  • Serves Fort Plain, NY

Creek Water Blooms specializes in fully customized wood flower floristry. All arrangements are made with soft realistic wood flowers and faux/preserved fillers to create floral arrangements that can you can enjoy forever. Every flower is handmade, painted and arranged to ensure your wedding flowers are exactly what you envisioned! There’s no waste from throwing away dead flowers and the wood flowers are made from an eco friendly material. Wood flowers also prevent allergy issues, scent sensitivity and wilting. They’re the perfect way to enjoy your flowers on your wedding day and every day after.

Jessica, the owner of Creek Water Blooms, is absolutely incredible! Starting the process, we didn’t have a clear vision for our flowers, but she asked all of the right questions and created a bouquet and boutonnière that are even more perfect than anything we could have come up with ourselves. She included us in every step along the way (sending pictures of flower samples, paint/dye tests, etc.) and made the process extremely easy and stress-free. We got so many compliments on our flowers from our vendors, wedding guests and complete strangers; they photograph beautifully, are light-weight and less fragile than natural flowers. Best of all, we get to keep our flowers for life without the cost and stress of preservation. If you’re looking for beautiful, customized, long-lasting flowers and you want to work with a professional who takes the stress out of planning, then we absolutely recommend Jessica at Creek Water Blooms.

Breezy Hill Blooms is a farmer-florist, studio designer specializing in weddings and events. We also tell stories through flowers with a flower truck (the first in Rensselaer County) and bouquet subscription. Creating modern and romantic florals that are unique for our couples is our passion. An event florist should know how to make your vision BLOOM beyond your expectations, not just ring up flowers for the big day.

Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Liz at Breezy Hill Blooms, and I am so thankful I found her on Instagram while planning our wedding. From our very first conversation, Liz completely understood my vision and brought both expertise and collaboration to the process. She was incredibly open, communicative, and detail oriented. The day before the wedding, she even texted me photos of the bouquets so I could provide feedback before she wrapped them. That level of care and thoughtfulness meant so much. Every floral detail was perfect. I am still completely obsessed with my bouquet, which featured simple white and light pink blooms that felt timeless and romantic. The bridesmaids’ bouquets incorporated more color and were equally beautiful. Liz also created a stunning fireplace installation that served as the backdrop for our winter ceremony, and it truly transformed the space into something magical. In addition to her creativity and professionalism, Liz worked thoughtfully within our floral budget. She was transparent, strategic, and helped us prioritize where to invest for maximum impact without ever making us feel limited. We felt like we received incredible value for the quality and artistry she delivered. I cannot recommend Breezy Hill Blooms enough. Liz is talented, collaborative, and an absolute joy to work with.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Fort Plain, NY

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
I recommend 100% using flower moxie if you want to DIY your flowers. My cousin used them for her wedding and had a great experience so I decided to use for mine as well. I was worried since my wedding was on a Sunday that a Thursday delivery would have my flowers wilting by the time of the actual wedding. It was perfect. The flowers lasted so long. The recipes for the arrangements are easy to follow. Everyone loved my florals and was surprised it was DIY. I would totally use them again.

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

I knew from the beginning I wanted an ikebana inspired wedding and honestly that was REALLY hard to explain to most wedding florists. I’m Asian and the meaning behind balance, space, and intention mattered to me so much. I didn’t want big full wedding flowers everywhere, I wanted something calm, minimal, and meaningful. From the first consultation Floral Eden just got it. They understood this wasn’t about having more flowers, it was about placement, negative space, and the feeling of the ceremony and reception. They designed florals for our ceremony and reception and everything felt so intentional. The ceremony setup was simple but emotional, like every stem actually belonged there. It didn’t feel empty, it felt peaceful and balanced which is exactly what I wanted for an ikebana style wedding. On the wedding day they handled delivery, full setup, transitions, and breakdown so smoothly. I didn’t have to think about wedding flowers once which was honestly such a relief. When we walked into the reception the wedding floral design flowed perfectly from the ceremony without looking copied. Guests kept saying the space felt calm, artistic, and different from any wedding they’ve been to. If you’re planning an ikebana wedding, Asian wedding, or minimalist wedding, and you want a full-service wedding florist who understands intention, balance, and atmosphere, Floral Eden is seriously amazing. It felt like art, not just wedding flowers.

He is dedicated and highly focused on the details, and that commitment shines through in both his team and his floral designs. We’ve worked with many florists and the property has never been adorned with so many beautiful and unique arrangements. For Agatha & Bartek’s wedding, the entire estate was filled with breathtaking flowers all weekend long. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day and after day brunch. The tent was alive with vibrancy, and the way he incorporates flowers, even weaving them seamlessly with trees, is truly stunning. I had the most beautiful bouquet for my City Hall civil ceremony, but no firm plans for the bouquet post-wedding. My florist friend shared Jackie's contact information with me and I contacted her to see if she had the capacity for a last-minute bouquet preservation. Luckily, she had availability and a few hours later, I was taking an impromptu day trip to Cold Spring with my husband. Jackie met us at the station and was so incredibly kind. She gave us a few suggestions of eateries to check out while we were in town. We had a symbolic ceremony a week later and I was so pleased with the service received with my first bouquet, that I asked Jackie to preserve that bouquet as well. Throughout both bouquet preservations, Jackie was very responsive and answered any questions I had. She shared a layout of both bouquets prior to framing and packaged up both frames nicely, with bags, (this is a big deal when you're taking the train) when we returned to Cold Spring for pickup. I'd highly recommend her services to preserve a piece of your special day.
