“Wow! DJ Lou exceeded our expectations! When it came to the reception we didn't have to do a thing but the preparation came months before that. We had an initial planning meeting, he set us up with our own timeline (an app that he created!), we had a follow-up meeting and then a week-of meeting! We felt so ready when the day came but were still so surprised about how much DJ Lou did for us. He was checking to see if we were okay, pulling us away to make sure we were eating, working with our other vendors so seamlessly- our ceremony musicians, our officiant, our family band, and our photographer! “We got married in June 2024, and had Thaddeus as our DJ. Mackenzie took care of the photo-booth. Over the course of the 9 months leading up to the wedding I probably had 4 or 5 calls with Thaddeus to give him the general vibe we were looking for & work out details. He was professional, honest, and gave great feedback. We had many specific asks and Thaddeus made sure all of our wants fit into his plan. Once the party was going, we gave Thaddeus the creative freedom to do his thing & make sure our guests had a good time. He totally delivered. I absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ that can keep the party going! Mackenzie was great to work with as well. Empire State Events got more backdrops to choose from in the middle of our planning, so she gave me the option to switch! I’m glad we did, the eucalyptus backdrop fit perfectly with our vision. “Shawn did an awesome job! He did the music for our wedding ceremony, the music for the reception, provided uplighting, and the photobooth. My now husband and I enjoyed working with Shawn. He is funny, easy going, and patient. His questionnaire is very detailed and is very helpful for pulling the music together for the day. He also was very focused on making sure my now husband and I heard what we wanted to hear for the music. During the ceremony, Shawn timed the music perfectly. We saw later watching videos that he even cut the microphone out for my brother, the officiant of the wedding, when my brother almost started talking over parents walking down the aisle. Thanks for that, Shawn! Later in the night, we had other challenges with our timeline due to longer than expected speeches, too many tables to say hi to, and my own indecisiveness. Shawn handled all these obstacles very smoothly, kept an eye on the crowd and helped us stay in tune with when we needed to get the dance floor going. He played the songs we requested and helped us out with choosing songs for younger people. Since the wedding went by so quickly, I think the thing I am most grateful for is all the photos and videos he took of the night. “T.L. Holloway was the perfect band for our June garden wedding. Steve, John, Peter, and Dylan are fantastic people, extraordinary musicians, and organized planners. These four showed off their versatility and stamina by playing throughout our whole wedding day — from ceremony music with custom renditions of some of our favorite folk songs, through the cocktail hour and dinner with smooth jazz and Sinatra, and closing out the night with faster jazz mixed with classic American and contemporary tunes to keep everyone dancing. They graciously provided sound equipment for our outdoor ceremony, and Steve artfully handled wedding party introductions during the reception as well as various announcements. Throughout the night we noticed them checking their sound from various locations — that attention to detail and care typified our experience, from our first planning call until their last song. They made everything easy for us, were extremely generous with their time during planning, and their renditions of songs we selected were beyond what we imagined was possible. Our guests (and us!) were simply enamored! As lovers of jazz and classic American tunes (but not necessarily dancing), these guys had us and our guests dancing all night. “Olivia and Bridie were wonderful to work with. They were able to learn our 2 custom arrangements within a month of the wedding which we so appreciated. The performance was wonderful! The music was beautiful and I'm so happy we chose to hire them to play for our ceremony. There's just something about live string music that makes a wedding even more special! “We are so happy to have found DJ Anthony B from NonStop Music for our wedding this past June 17th and would highly recommend him to any future bride and groom (or for any event)! My now husband and I are musicians, so we spent a lot of time researching DJs and debating what kind of DJ we wanted. As soon as we had the first meeting with Anthony (after listening to hours of his remixes), we knew he was the one. He listened to every need and concern we had regarding wedding music and DJs in general, and flat-out blew us away with his talent. His musicianship truly shows in his ability to get all of the guests out on the dance floor, no matter their age. Our guests are still raving about how good the music was more than a week after our wedding and how they have never danced so much at a wedding before (including our wedding coordinator)! He was able to take the classic wedding songs and put a nice spin on them so that it kept the original sound, but also added something new and special. He also took our wide, eclectic style of music and remixed oldies and rock with tech house and pop. Thank you for the Zedd remix and for our first dance song rendition! DJ Anthony was just the right amount of involved with the crowd, coming out to dance with us a few times, but also not over-involved. “The New York Players were the thing our wedding guests talked about the most! Aside from being absolutely fantastic and putting on a great show, the pre-event communication and planning support really made NYP a great band to work with. We didn't really know going into booking what things needed to be considered when booking our event music, and Mike was so helpful for holding our hands through the planning process. Before the event, Mike helped us plan the logistics, met with us to discuss our goals, and gave us an extensive song list to select music from for the night, as well as adding some songs that we love that were not on the list. The attention to detail and level of care put into the band made feel so fun and special, and took a lot of the stress of wedding planning out of the music planning due to the top-notch professionalism.
