My family selected Jamaica Bay Inn because it was next to a small beach cove accessible from the Bermuda banquet room. We gathered for a Celebration of Life event and wanted to fly kites in memory of our beloved that passed away. Sayyora the Catering Manager was extremely efficient and flexible with the menu and my special request. Christina and the banquest staff were amazing. Christina had to leave the room to answer another clients questions and made sure another banquet person was in the room until she returned. The food was hot and plentiful. We selected the Buffet Pasta Station (1 with chicken and 1 with shrimp), baby greens salad, delicious fresh fruit. Accomodations were made for my request for a gluten free menu. I was in the hospitality business for 19 years for major hotels as a Catering Manger and Covention Services Manager and my critical eye can be hard to please. But I must say that the attention to detail was above and beyond. I would recommend Jamacia Bay at every opportunity. My family wants to return for a family reunion or just a family luncheon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

** you cannot edit your vendor Zola review and this is an edit to give our initial review 5 FIVE STARS** When we were looking for where to host our wedding reception an intimate unique setting that would be a great time with full open bar and great food was what we were looking for about 200. Staff was excellent day of. Food was wonderful guests said. Venue was beautiful for photos and weather behaved in January so we got to watch the sunset. Everything was amazing w Portofino. Price was excellent for what we got and in SoCal on the water venue “boutique hotel.” My only critique is doing room blocks and anything to do with their computer system accounting takes a second and is a little out dated takes two days or so- but I like to get things done or get emails asap so that’s just me. Other than that wonderful place will be going back to stay at hotel! Amazing reception! Exactly what we were looking for! Rain is also exceptionally friendly, patient and communicative so ask for him !

I loved the views and the food when I attended the first event Made by Meg Catering hosted there in February 2025 before renovations, it was a candidate forum for the city of Redondo Beach, and I cannot wait to return for many more events after they finish construction in the near future!

Gran Sueño is a fantastic venue that we worked with for the first time a year ago, which was also the first wedding we catered to. All the staff members went above and beyond to ensure that the event was tailored to perfection. We are delighted to continue working with them in the future, as we have already done many events at their place, and every time, we felt just at home. The tight work environment is fantastic, and we express our most profound happiness in working with them. Overall, we highly recommend Gran Suena for any event. It is tough to find places that look to give the best experience to our guests and can work as a team even though we are different companies. Since we've been doing a lot of events there now we are thinking of opening up a branch in that area so we can continue giving the best service to our guests.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday here with about 120 friends and family, and I couldn’t have picked a better venue. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail, which made the night stress-free and so enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and to my surprise, the cocktails ended up being the highlight of the night—even at a wine bar! Guests were raving about them all evening. The space itself was ideal, with the flexibility to use both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving the party a great flow and plenty of room for everyone to mingle. I’m still hearing from guests about how much fun they had. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on atmosphere, service, and food & drinks, this is it.

I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a recent wedding at SmogShoppe, and let me just say this venue is such a vibe! Working with Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team again was such a joy, as they always make the whole planning process a breeze for myself, the bride and groom, and everyone involved in the big day. The venue itself is so unique, eclectic, and has a ton of character that little to no decor is needed. Even still, the clients and I had a lot of fun personalizing the setup to create a fun and unique vibe that highlighted their personalities on their special day. Whether you are looking for a cozy affair or a lavish event, Tiato offers natural yet redefined, and sophisticated ambiance. In addition to our beautiful interior, our flexible venue features the largest outdoor event space outside a hotel in Santa Monica.

Venue considerations

  • Additional event staff required
  • No on-premises lodging options

First - the food is delicious and the setting perfect for a wonderful meal. We used them for a rehearsal dinner of 40 and were absolutely impressed by Tiato! We spent quite a lot of time looking for a location for my daughters rehearsal dinner. Many friends suggested Tiato as a perfect location as it has a lot of beautiful spaces including a great outdoor space and wonderful food. The proposal we received from Tiato was so professional, thorough and thoughtful. I was very impressed in my dealings with Stephen Cisneros and knew it would be a fabulous event. We had the most wonderful tasting before selecting our final menu and everything was so good, it was difficult to choose. Stephen and his team went out of their way to make sure our evening was special including providing microphones for speeches, a lovely set-up and, most importantly, amazing food. The passed appetizers were delicious and beautifully presented. Stephen had great suggestions for timing of the event. Easy parking was included and the prices were fair. I appreciated that adding a specialty cocktail (we picked a wonderful berry margarita which featured fresh pressed blueberry, lemon and lime juices) was only 7.50 per person in addition to a reasonable bar package. I highly recommend Tiato for a lunch, dinner or event! Love the food!

Made by Meg is proud to continue the legacy of the historic La Venta Inn nestled in the hills of Palos Verdes Estates. La Venta Inn has enjoyed a full, rich history on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Nationally recognized as a California Point of Historical Interest, the Inn dates back to the early 1920’s, when a group of international businessmen set out to develop the ‘ideal residential community.’ The landmark ocean view estate is a beautifully restored 1920’s Spanish villa and used to entertain guests from the world over through exceptional weddings and events. We got married at La Venta Inn in September 2024 and it was truly everything we could have asked for. The centerpiece here, and a large part of why we chose this venue, is the spectacular view overlooking the ocean which made for such beautiful pictures. Besides the natural beauty of the area, the building itself is a historic villa which felt cozy and intimate and yet comfortably accommodated our guest count of 100. Savannah was our contact person and was very responsive to emails, including some last minute seating changes we had in the weeks leading up to the wedding La Venta works exclusively with Made by Meg for catering - Kat was our contact person and was fantastic to work with. Note that they do not allow outside food vendors, but they were able to accommodate some of our special requests such as requests to source a specific brand of ice cream so that we could make our wedding unique to us. We got so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was. The other exclusive vendor that they are contracted with is Vox DJs. This is the only vendor that we had a less than stellar experience with. They performed their duties fine on the day of the wedding, with the exception of forgetting to set up the dance lights we had paid for, but the communication and planning leading up the wedding did not go as smoothly as I hoped, and I wish that we had the flexibility to go with a DJ company of our own choosing. However I understand the restrictions given that La Venta is a historic site. Overall, our wedding at La Venta was memorable, beautiful, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with spectacular ceremony views. With a venue like this, you really only need a good florist (we used Flowernoon Shop) and a talented photographer (June Choi Photography) to bring out the natural beauty of the venue - you really don't need a lot of other rentals, draping, etc. We are so happy we had our wedding here!

We had our daughters wedding reception at the Jonathan Beach Club in their new Penthouse space and it was spectacular. Every aspect of the event was exactly what we'd hoped. The Jonathan Club Wedding Event Coordinator, Christie DeMoss was delightful to work with and had fabulous suggestions. The food tasting was lovely and we felt so special and excited about what our guests would be feasting on! The food was truly elevated and absolutely delicious. The space and the setup were perfect with an outdoor balcony cocktail area and bar, a large lobby for the guestbook, photobooth and activity and then the gorgeous reception space with dance floor. Velaslavasay Panorama

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

The Velaslavasay Panorama is housed in the Union Theatre, a historic neighborhood cinema built in 1910 with a neon marquee, enchanting garden, vintage theatre space and 360-degree painted panorama viewing hall. Set in the historic West Adams District near Downtown LA, a visit to our panorama is complimented by a stroll through the Garden and Grounds reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, featuring lush tropical plantings, a wide variety of succulents, a misting and meditation grotto, and a copper-roofed gazebo for reading and reflection. We are using Zola to promote our site as a rental venue for weddings and private events. To learn more, visit rental[dot]panoramaonview[dot]org and to ask questions or schedule a tour, contact event[at]panoramaonview[dot]org.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.

The Luxe Sunset is a beautiful oasis right off Sunset Blvd, with easy access from the 405. It's amazing how quickly you're transformed from the hustle and bustle of the city to serene luxury, as soon as you arrive in the tree-lined grounds of the hotel. More importantly, I want to rave about the staff, and Joshua Washington in particular, who's in charge of room blocks and Kelsey Hernandez in charge of venue spaces. Joshua was such a professional, respectful, and generous hospitality professional. All hospitality and service pros should take note. He was attentive and communicative, without being overly so. And he was just a joy to work with. In full candor, my fiancee and I were looking very seriously at The Luxe for our wedding room block, as well as venues for rehearsal dinner, welcome event and farewell brunch. The Sunset Terrace (breezeway) is a dream of an outdoor venue area. However, due to a number of factors unrelated to how extraordinary the Luxe and its staff are, we ended up going with a different venue. Still, my fiancee and I really love the Luxe, it was really hard to not be able to select it as our home base for our wedding weekend. We wish we could have worked with Joshua and his team for longer, and made use of the incredible settings that the hotel offers. For what it's worth, they're remodeling all the guest rooms. I didn't find any issue with the already-updated guest rooms, but it's good to know they'll be even newer and even more amazing. No disruption to their capacity in the meantime. And at the risk of them seeing this and increasing their prices, I want to say the prices for rooms, venues and Food&Bev were shockingly reasonable. My fiancee and I did deep dives into 5 different venues in west LA, and Luxe had the best prices. If you're looking for an intimate, upscale location that's not far away but still feels removed from reality, definitely reach out to Joshua and the team at Luxe. You will not be disappointed.

The Ebell of Los Angeles was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first inquired, the team there, especially Katie, was incredibly thorough, helpful, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. The space itself is absolutely stunning - a beautiful, historic, and romantic setting that is extremely versatile. We held our ceremony and cocktail hour in the courtyard and the reception in the lounge (the windows are STUNNING). They truly helped set the intimate and bespoke vibe we were going for on our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to celebrate our love, and we are so grateful to the entire Ebell staff for making our wedding day so perfect.

We got married at BABC on New Year's Eve 2024 - a week before the fires in the Pacific Palisades. Although I'm not sure what 2025 looks like for Bel-Air, I still wanted to share my wonderful experience working with the team at BABC. From the first interaction with Jenny and the on-site tour and working with Liz for almost a year in planning and then the day-of team of Ben and Madison, everything was 15/10. Every detail was addressed and taken care of. I was able to personalize each aspect and our wedding day was planned down to the (literal) 5-minute. We had countless calls and video meetings planning in the months and weeks leading to the big day and Liz could not be more patient in working with me and changing previously made decisions. Part of my thank you note to the BABC team: "It was truly perfect!! I keep saying “I wish I was a guest at my own wedding!” so we truly could’ve experienced every detail. We’ve gotten so many comments from our friends and families that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. You and the entire BABC staff went above and beyond. The service was incredible, every tiny detail was noticed and taken care of, and the whole day was so smooth. Kyle and I had zero nerves all day and I didn’t look at a clock once if you can believe it! That brings me to Ben and Madison - wow! What a fantastic team they make. I hope they know how much we appreciated them (and Vivienne!) in bringing the day to life and handling anything that came up so we could just enjoy the day. I will miss working with you but am so excited to have these perfect wedding memories and the best experience to look back on." If you have the chance to get married at Bel-Air Bay Club - DO IT! It truly was a magical day and will forever hold a special place in my heart. What a perfect place to start our marriage.
