My husband and I initially reached out to her because she had photographed weddings at our original venue, and we were completely sold after looking through her portfolio. With his years of experience, he had clear vision for what needed to be done and when. He even helped us put together a photo schedule leading up to the wedding. On the big day, our family portraits were done quickly and smoothly, and the bridal party shots were a blast! The portraits of my husband and me felt so intimate and really captured our love. We ran ahead of schedule with all of our photos and we only used between 10-15 minutes of cocktail hour time to capture a few extra couple portraits. Our guests loved the black-and-white portrait booth. John set up a QR code for them to easily access the gallery, which was super helpful for us! “My husband and I booked Blacktie Brothers as our videographer for our wedding in October 2023, and we could not have been more pleased. Mitchell, myself, and both of our families were SO impressed by your team at our wedding. On the day of our wedding, there were quite a few challenges to making the day go as smoothly as I had hoped, mainly the rain caused us to have to move our ceremony inside. The wedding coordinator associated with the venue did not follow up on a few of the tasks she had agreed to doing, namely being present during the photo session to make sure I was comfortable and hydrated. The entire media team at Blacktie Brothers stepped in and handled it so professionally, even getting me water when I felt faint from all of the commotion. Our day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it had without the help Blacktie Brothers gave us. We opted for the raw footage package, so we received an edited movie of our wedding as well as all the raw footage of our day on a thumb drive. The movie they made is amazing. The song they chose for the ceremony portion of the movie was a special choice— the lyrics reflected some aspects of our story as a couple. It was so thoughtfully crafted and makes me cry whenever I see it! The team was responsive and professional throughout the entire wedding planning process. Any question or concern we had was met with a genuine, timely response. The movie and the raw footage is now something we can have and share for the rest of our lives, and they so beautifully preserved the memory of our day. “Rob was sooo amazing! Long story short, we hired him for our wedding but we ended up moving our states wedding to destination. We asked if we can put our deposit towards an engagement shoot instead. He did such an amazing job and he was so prepared day of. He bought his equipment and even a DRONE!! We went to two locations, the American Museum of Natural History and the Castle on the Upper West side of Central Park. He let us be us but also posed us. We felt at ease and taken care of. He sent us back the photos pretty quickly too! 11/10 recommend!!”
