The DAC moved to it’s current location in 1892 and has expanded in the years since to now occupy the entire city block. In the 1890s, the Lindquist Cracker Company constructed a three-story brick factory on the site of ReelWorks. Goldberg Brothers Tinners purchased that factory in the 1920s. At the time, Goldberg Brothers, the second-largest employer in Colorado behind the Adolf Coors Brewing and Manufacturing Company, owned and ran a number of companies, including "the factory on Walnut," as it was colloquially known. Despite producing thousands of various metal objects, Goldberg Brothers is most known for being the world's largest producer of cinema reels. Goldberg Brothers is a historic Denver business icon still located in the metro area, and we are honored to give their former factory life with the hundreds of events that we host every year.
